Monobrow Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 It just came out. Here is the site: http://www.erutanmusic.com/ Here the gorgeous cover: I suggest you guys check it out! It is her original album debut! If you are familiar with Kate's remixes, you will definitely like this. Give this awesome gal your support! Quote
Brandon Strader Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 $15 is pretty steep for an indie self-released album, but from hearing the samples, it sounds worth it.. to those who can afford it.. Quote
zircon Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Absolutely beautiful work! Jill introduced me to Kate's original music and it's all extremely impressive and, well, wondrous. It's very rare (and special) to see a singer, songwriter and lyricist that also plays and records ALL of her instruments, not to mention production + video editing. We bought three copies already Quote
Nekofrog Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Hey she promised she'd work on my FF8 tune with me when her album was done. Does this mean she can? Please? please? please Quote
Kureejii Lea Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Ooh, I'll hafta look into this. Her game arrangements and other works have all been gorgeous. Quote
Monobrow Posted November 25, 2010 Author Posted November 25, 2010 Yes. Also here's a preview Youtube video as well: Quote
Bahamut Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Just ordered me a copy, even if it strains my budget - I love her music quite a bit, and glad to see an original album. Quote
SoulinEther Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 beeeeeeeautifulllllll. really! have to share this with my friends, because her voice and her work are gorgeous. Quote
Hyperion5182 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 I will buy this the very SECOND i can afford it. Quote
Kanthos Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Anyone got their copy of the CD yet, or even got a notification that it'd been shipped? Quote

Bahamut Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Anyone got their copy of the CD yet, or even got a notification that it'd been shipped? Not yet unfortunately . Quote
Bahamut Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 A double post, but my CD came in on Saturday - I'm finally going to get a chance to listen to it today Quote
prophetik music Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 looks like an interesting christmas present. thanks for the link, monobrow =) Quote
Souliarc Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Oh I'm gettin it. Had it on my list for a while. Quote
EmpyClaw Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I ordered it the day it became available and it just made it up to me in Canadia now. It looks pretty awesome. She included a floral pattern around my address--lovely touch. ^^ I also didn't realize that it came with an autographed poster. That's pretty swell! Time to listen now. *glee!* Quote
big giant circles Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 The music sounds great, I'll pick it up as soon as there's a digital version available. (Physical CD's are kind of a thing that I will almost never buy any longer, regardless of the artist.) Plus, I have to agree, $15 is a bit steep for me. I guess I really haven't paid over $10 for music in so long it's hard for me to accept anything over that as an amount I'm willing to pay. But anyway, don't let my personal opinion on distribution detract from the fact that I think the music sounds amazing Quote
Bahamut Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I'm the opposite - I still love physical CDs, especially if I ever have a hard drive crash, as I've lost a lot of music that way. Having CDs lets me recover a lot of my collection faster. On a more relevant note, I mention some quick thoughts on the album here (on first listen): http://www.bahamutwc.com/blog/?p=44 I really like this album, listened to it a few times already. Quote

Having CDs lets me recover a lot of my collection faster. This. I always prefer physical CDs. As often as I have to deal with media crashes, having a physical copy ensures that I don't have to worry about when my last backup was made, how often my backup utilities run, or what a pain it'd be if I have to format my hard drive. Anyway, I just found out about this today. I'll be ordering at least one copy this afternoon if not more. This is awesome news. KF Quote
Monobrow Posted December 10, 2010 Author Posted December 10, 2010 I like physical releases when I care about the artist. Being as this is her first album, I think it's a good idea, and not only that... She gives a free poster and tries to personalize each cd as well with decorations and autographs... It's a fair trade IMO. Anyway get it! Quote
neil Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Just found out about the new album release, and having been a fan of hers ever since the first note hit my auditory receptors, obviously placed an order instantly Quote
Kizyr Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 ...I think my order got lost in the mail... It's been in-transit for two weeks. KF EDIT: Scratch that; it just came in today! Great start to the new year, eh? Quote

Especially the delightful, silverback, redbook-compliant kind. BTW, received mine today in the mail and am absolutely enjoying every minute of it. Great job katethegreat/Erutan! Quote
