PartTimeShinobi Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Just moved into a new place and I'm going through stuff that's been in storage for a good while, including a bunch of old EGM issues from as far back as 1997. I was pretty young then and as such didn't take really good care of them, but none are missing covers/pages. I don't necessarily think they're worth money, but I feel like getting rid of them does some small disservice to videogaming history. Is there any person/group I might donate them to? Quote
Malaki-LEGEND.sys Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Try mailing some of the staff over at 1up.com, specifically Frank Cifaldi. He seems to have a big appreciation for gaming history and knows a few people that handles that sort of thing, although I forget who specifically right now. Quote
Volt Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Out-of-Print Archive might be interested. They scan gaming magazines before 2000. Quote
ocre Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I have some mint Nintendo Powers from yeaaaaaaaars ago. I only recently stopped buying them. Quote
JH Sounds Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I had an EGM subscription right up until it went into hiatus. For some reason they decided to send me Maxim to fulfill my order in lieu of EGM issues. Quote
PartTimeShinobi Posted February 6, 2011 Author Posted February 6, 2011 So THAT'S why I got those issues of Maxim. Quote

NeoForte Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 There is also a new EGM revival magazine and webzines. It's like EGMnever stopped~ Quote
Guy In Rubber Suit Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Damn. If only you had EGM that dated back past '92. I've been trying to collect all of the old issues. I have a pretty sizable collection going missing most of the earliest issues but I've been buying/subscribing EGM since issue 54 (January '94). I stopped around 2003 or so since I've felt that the quality was dropping off. Speaking of old magazines, anyone want some old Wired, GamePro, Nintendo Power, Revolver, ODCM, Wizard, Toyfare Game Informer magazines? Quote
JH Sounds Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Heh, I wasn't expecting to see this in my mailbox again. Quote

The Coop Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Yeah i knew they were still publishing online.I did not know they were printing magazines again. They have been for a number of months now. It was a bit more like a bimonthly magazine for the first few issues, but it's been monthly for several issues straight. Quote
