Brandon Strader Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Plus an MMORPG Dragon Quest X upgrade in the future? It's a no brainer. Quote
Jamphibious Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Every time I come to this thread I want one more and more. Gotta get dat money. Hopefully some of the jobs I've applied to work out! The future is looking so fine for the Wii U. Is the Dragon Quest X upgrade confirmed to be coming to North America? That is something I could seriously get behind. Quote

Thalzon Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Looking at our Miis.... We really are homogenous in appearance. Quote
Brandon Strader Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I wish Miis enabled more customization... should have been upgraded from the original Wii Quote
Thalzon Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I mean we're pretty much all white guys with short brown hair, some sort of facial hair, and glasses. Quote
Devyn Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Just saw three friend adds. Thanks guys. Yeah, looks like we're some brown-haired vanilla folk. Oh well. By the way, I recommend hooking up the Wii U to a big stereo and using youtube as a jukebox. I guess I will see if I can get Pandora or another music service to work as youtube downgrades its audio quite a bit. Quote
Xarnax42 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Is the Dragon Quest X upgrade confirmed to be coming to North America? That is something I could seriously get behind. Nothing is confirmed yet. Most articles I found sounded cautiously optimistic. Quote
Brandon Strader Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Nothing is confirmed yet. Most articles I found sounded cautiously optimistic. MichaelTheCrow and myself are also hoping very hard that Dragon Quest X makes its way here. I haven't bought any of the other games or really played them at all (sigh)... but an mmorpg on the Wii U? I would snap that up faster than a snapping turtle seeing a hook with a hotdog chunk on it (that's how we used to catch them at my family's cabin back in the 90s) Quote
The Derrit Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 i'm more optimistic than most of you that it'll happen given nintendo's new outlook on importing japanese games, but frankly unlike most every other case, why? console mmo's don't really... work? yeah. if it were a new *non* mmo dragon quest i'd be more excited. Brushfire Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I wish Miis enabled more customization... should have been upgraded from the original Wii Those are called Xbox Avatars Be Strades. Quote
Devyn Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I actually really like the Mii system on the Wii U. Taking a photo and then modding it out is a really fun process. We even made a Mii for the dog yesterday, although it took a bit of work. I do wish that the clothes could be customized like the xbox avatars, but as far as the process of creation and the integration of its avatars, the Wii U is great at it. By the way, regarding the range of the console's tablet, I seemed to lose connection after getting about 10 feet from the console. It was between the Wii and Xbox on my gaming shelf, so I pulled it out onto the floor by itself. I can play outside and it almost makes it to the bedroom now. Quote
Brandon Strader Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Those are called Xbox Avatars Be Strades. Yes, this is 100% what I wanted and expected for an upgrade of the Miis in HD Quote
Brushfire Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Nintendo couldn't be bothered to ripoff a ripoff of their own crap. Quote
Mirby Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 We even made a Mii for the dog yesterday suddenly i want to see a Falcor Mii. XD Quote
Cecilff2 Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 Looking at our Miis.... We really are homogenous in appearance. Errr.... Everyone has their mouth, eyes and nose on their chin with a mustache sitting on their forhead with sunglasses on it? Quote
Devyn Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 suddenly i want to see a Falcor Mii. XD I would be happy to try my hand at this, but it may have to wait, as my wife is hogging the Wii U watching Arrested Development. Quote
Swifthom Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/02/07/rayman-legends-delayed-no-longer-wii-u-exclusive I preordered this from Amazon using a £50 gift card 3 days ago... ... 6 months. Bugger it. How do I get gift card money back from Amazon? Quote
ocre Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Yeah, that's my beef with this news. I won't be able to play it til September. Eff that noise. Quote
Brandon Strader Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 That's some Square-Enix FF13 bullshit Quote
AngelCityOutlaw Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I'd bet money that most of the Wii U "exclusives" won't remain exclusive for very long. The good version of Ninja Gaiden 3 is coming out on the other systems as well. You can bet Bayonetta 2 will be the same. Quote
Devyn Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 “When we saw all the comments when we announced the game would be focused on Wii U, all of the people that have both the PlayStation 3 and 360 were really disappointed,” Poix told IGN. “So we thought it was making more sense to also bring the game to where it was originally from. That means Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. So we decided to go for a multiplatform launch simultaneously.” No corporation does this for "fans". Corporations make these decisions for money. One could argue that since now there are comments from Wii U and Rayman fans who bought the Wii U to experience the game that they should go ahead and release it. The bottom line is that Ubisoft will get more money with this release, and regardless of how much Wii U fans complain, they are making more money by doing this. I wasn't planning on buying the game. Renting yes. I played the demo and it was cool. There's no telling what some party will release on the eshop or in stores between now and September, when HD windwaker comes out. Hell, Mighty Switch Force HD is 10 bucks right now. Quote
Bleck Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Bayonetta 2 is being published by Nintendo. I'm pretty sure it will remain an exclusive. Quote
ocre Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 (edited) So Ubisoft wants to delay a finished Wii U game to September where it'll go up against GTA V and Wind Waker HD instead of this month where it has absolutely no competition. So smart! Anyway, guess it'll be nice to pick up Legends when it's 20 bucks a month after it comes out. Edit: Ha. Edited February 7, 2013 by ocre Quote
Swifthom Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I dont buy many games, but i'd kind of tagged rayman legends for march. Of ALL the launch titles it interested me the most... Now.... Its 7 months, loosing interest every second, so depending on what else is out... Yeah, doubt it'l be a day 1 purchase now Quote
