Diodes Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Made most of the gift today, and am still working on it now. Having waaaaaaay too much fun with this. Hope my recipient enjoys this as much as I enjoyed making it. Recipient be warned, there was crafting involved... >_> Quote
MaxFrost Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 I made cookies myself for mine. I just hope they're not allergic to walnuts. Quote
Theory of N Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 I had a dream last night that Sixto was my Secret Santa. Is that weird? Quote
Sixto Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 That is very weird. Anyway, I got my package today from my French Santa. Clothing, food, AND literature! A thanks and a very Merry Christmas to the Merovingian. Quote
BardicKnowledge Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 My Secret Santa just got me two Steam games in addition to the package (which remains unopened). Looking forward to playing through Mass Effect on PC! The other game will be great for my netbook here in class -- Poker Night at the Inventory. Yes I surf the net etc during class -- I'm posting from there now. Thanks a ton! Quote
MaxFrost Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 I made cookies myself for mine. I just hope they're not allergic to walnuts. Btw, said package got sent today. ETA 3-5 days. I live in Minnesota. That package could be going anywhere in the U.S. Quote
Arrow Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Just sent mine, but I really have no idea if it will make it by Christmas. If not, sorry! Quote
Bahamut Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 I made cookies myself for mine. I just hope they're not allergic to walnuts. Walnut cookies...sounds delicious! Quote
prophetik music Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 i got the last bits of mine. debating between mailing or hand-delivering. Quote
Rexy Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I heard from Bahamut that my Secret Santa hasn't stated anything in the thread in regards to sending anything. Whoever's my Secret Santa better hurry up if nothing's been sent; I'm already angry enough right now, and a Secret Santa that ISN'T a deadbeat would actually make my Christmas. On the other hand, I've seen that my 'festive cheer' was delivered to someone. I just don't want it to be in vain if the same isn't happening for me in return Quote
keiiii Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Rexy: Out of five SS events I participated during 2010-2011, only ONE has delivered so far, and she was like four months late. XD I was on time (barely, but still) for all but one of them. When I was one week late for the one that I was late, I received a "wtf hurry up yo" note, which I thought was highly ironic considering I was waiting for months for my other santas... Not that it wasn't deserved, since I WAS late, but certainly ironic. After that, I kind of stopped hoping for a timely gift in SS's. For the next SS I participate, I'll probably volunteer to give a gift to someone whose SS has disappeared off the face of the planet without getting anything in return. I'll get the warm fuzzy feeling out of it, and no disappointment at all Edit: haha forgot the sixth SS in which the Santa *wasn't* late for me. <3 Quote
Koriantor Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I suppose I ought to say I sent my gift off. Quote

D-Lux Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Whoops! This post was about the gift I received for the OUS SS exchange, and not this one! I have not purchased my SS gift yet, but my recipient can expect theirs to arrive sometime right before or after xmas. Quote

keiiii Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Was this here? (OCR) Nope, it was on deviantart -- infamous for late santas and disappearing santas. Quote
prophetik music Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Nope, it was on deviantart -- infamous for late santas and disappearing santas. ocr is infamous for people giving 50$ gifts. Quote
linkspast Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 ocr is infamous for people giving 50$ gifts. Yep the people here are pretty awesome, and I feel like if someone did get burned, then their SS would be discouraged to enter the next year.. Quote
Koriantor Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 ocr is infamous for people giving 50$ gifts. or really awesome creative ones! (Except for me... I'm both poor and uncreative (for gifts at least) so I take advantage of steam sales for my presents) Quote
Rexy Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Lol, deviantart. I regularly contributed a lot of traditional art back in the day; I grew out of it long ago, namely due to the kids roaming around, so I guess I can understand how they'd have disappearing santas. And thank you for the clarification Wes! And to my SS, I apologize for being a P.I.T.A. about it; things got really out of hand lately; but here's to hoping for the package's safe arrival. Quote
Abadoss Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Yep the people here are pretty awesome, and I feel like if someone did get burned, then their SS would be discouraged to enter the next year.. From what I understand, they're usually banned from entering. Not sure how often it's happened, though. Quote
Brushfire Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 ocr is infamous for people giving 50$ gifts. Mine was $53.96. Quote
