One of the greatest musical experiences of my life was listening to this album. I invite you to enjoy the ride!

FX4 is a concept album set in the oceans and skies. Its story immediately precedes that of FX3. Unlike the previous albums, which were written as "soundalikes" using sampled chip sounds, FX4 consists of machine code that can run on a real NES system. It was written in Famitracker, available for free at famitracker.com.

The album is free, and I am not expecting or asking for payment, although I appreciate donations — the proceeds will go toward software I need for my one-man indie game project.

Good call and thanks on the FX2 and 1.

Mindblowing how this manages to stay coherent while being a nonstop barrage of ideas. Gotta think that a lot of good artists would be extremely proud of being this innovative over a half-dozen albums, let alone one.

Haha, yeah, it's always like that. It took many listenings to fully wrap my head around the intricate lines of FX3, and this is gonna be no different. So. GOOD.

And man, those melodic lines in 'Weapon' are just too sweet. You know, the kind of memorable, hum-able lines you find in 'Across Rooftops.'

my all time favorite from fx3! it's really only barely hum-able or singable, but i could never keep myself from trying :D

journey into the rift is my 1st love on the album. digging that thrash sound so much.
