Melbu Frahma
they could have come up with a better name like 'mystic' or something Seconded, tbh. There's worse names they could've picked though, I guess.
The Damned
SO, if you're interested, the Pokémon Twitter account is giving out details about the game. https://twitter.com/Pokemon There are now Horde Encoutners, where you can end up facing multiples of a Pokémon. An example they used in the roundtable is Gogoat facing five Houndour. Mr. Masuda is showing a video of a Gogoat encountering a horde of Houndour. Horde Encounters look intense! #PokemonXY Crazy shit, man. And just now, another update says that some Flying Type pokémon can enter "Sky Battles" where they fight in the air far above the ground. A new Fire/Flying type, called Talonflame is shown.
Mirby
Apparently Haunter can participate in Sky Battles cause he can levitate. from the q&a (all information obtained from RichIGN as he tweets it) one save file can't comment on amount of new pokemon were asked about DLC, didn't want to hear it but said possibilities are being explored backwards compatibility is being worked on based on france because france has a focus on beauty and beauty was a focus for x/y, wanted to see how to express that when asked about tweaking evs and ivs, they said x/y will make some of those ideas more visible and intuitive you can choose your hairstyle and appearance, the new PSS system shows player icons so it allows for custom appearance 8-way movement confirmed, kept the grid for easier tracking of pokemon encounters, but freer movement is in music will have a different feel from past games because it'll be less modified/compressed than in older games -long pause- can't explain "mewthree" can't talk about other games (this was in response to a question about smash 4) sakurai chimed in, saying "we're thinking about it" jokingly there's a team "something", may be more than one rival PSS syncs with your 3DS friends list different areas have different methods of travel through them Flow of battles - seeing opponent's team ahead of time - is the same as before. The Damned
Official artwork for the new pokémon shown today. Clauncher, water type. Need a crustacean for your team? Why not (a blue) Zoidberg? OK, so the ugly looking seahorse thing is actually based upon an actual species that camouflages itself as kelp. Hence the name. Is it just me, or does Talonflame (aside from being kind of a lame name) have a shadow on top of its eye? Does his red crest act like armor? Sir_NutS
welp i was wrongi guess fairy could be alright i still think it's kind of silly. they could have come up with a better name like 'mystic' or something o noes something silly in a POKEMON GAME. I am HYPE about this game. Considering grabbing a 3ds for this.
Chernabogue
based on france because france has a focus on beauty and beauty was a focus for x/y, wanted to see how to express that That made me laugh xD
Soul Splint
Well, so far the only bad thing is the 'one save file,' but I guess I really shouldn't expect that to change. I'd kill to be able to just start new games whenever on the newer generations. But hey, I guess that's one thing emulation is good for. The Damned
Just a heads up for anyone that is using the Global Link feature on their Black and White 1/2 games. http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Global_Link_for_Generation_V_games_to_shut_down_Jan._14 Basically, by January 14th, 2014, the fifth gen Global Link will be shut down permanently. You'll have a few months before that to finish up anything you still use it for, like tucking in/waking up pokémon for the Dream World games, or changing C-Gear skins and Musical songs. But after that, it's gone. There will still be 5th gen Global Trade Station access afterwards, but not much more beyond that. Once X/Y are out, Nintendo will be focusing more attention to that. So use it while you can.
Sir_NutS
still HYPE for this game.
The Damned
So... new pokémon revealed. No English name released yet, but in French it's Monorpale and in Japanese, HitotsukiIt seems to be a Steel/Ghost type. And it's a living, haunted sword. Anyone that complains about the design of a ghost-sword can shut the fuck up right now.
Dexie
A ghost-sword who PULLS OFF HIS OWN SHEATH WHEN IT'S TIME TO THROW DOWN!

The Damned
So, there is now an English-subbed version of the video posted before. Enjoy the non-French subtitles and non-shakey-cam! EDIT: No, it's not Mirby. Edited July 5, 2013 by The Damned
Mirby
Damned. You just linked the same video I linked in my post. Are you sure those meds are working?
The Damned
English name for new ghost-sword is Honedge. As in, "hone" to sharpen, and "edge" as in the edge of a sword. Just to clear it up, we're all going to have one, right? Eery team will have a Honedge on it, correct?
Mirby
It's also confirmed that it will be able to learn Swords Dance. That's an awkward situation avoided.

Dexie
I try not to rag on names too much, but Honedge is kind of a lame name. Hope he evolves into a badass haunted suit of armor. That'd be pretty cool.
Mirby
Run! It's summoning the souls of its departed brethren to attack its foes! or just using Swords Dance either or
