Final Fantasy VII: Voices of the Lifestream - History

I can objectively say that every single track on the project is unanimous YES worthy on OCR... at a minimum. Many are direct post. I have been strict w/ quality control and some people have made a lot of revisions to their track because of my feedback (and the feedback of others on the project). Now, some of the mixers are going in a slightly different direction than what you may be used to - for example, LuiZa contributed a sort of dirty, gritty ska remix of the slums theme(s). No, it's not a driving, bombastic medley like "Fire Cross" but it's still very good in a different sort of way. Likewise I collabed with pixietricks and it's not like anything you've heard from me before (not really like anything from her, either!)

Maybe this isn't the place to talk about this. Sorry if I "killed the atmosphere" here. I have been under a lot of stress lately, and it's affecting my posts' overall mood.

D: Sorry to hear that~

Hope things start looking up for you; my life has been pretty much circling the drain for the past few days. Stress. You know. Makes everything else that used to be fun seem so foggy, doesn't it?

Main theme of ff7

Aeris' theme. Actually, this was made for Advent children but they decided to keep it under the ff7 label.

Opening bombing mission.

Main theme of Final Fantasy. I can't remember if it was used in 7 though. I would guess not. The only one's that I can remember this song being on is FF4, FF9, FF12. If someone can tell me what other games, that's cool.

Can't you just appreciate the music? I just thought some more mixes would be a good addition to the project for some more inspiration/motivation/new ideas.

Actually, listening to other people's arrangements usually makes it harder for me to come up with my own ideas.

I think that's true of most things.

Zircon, I just listened to the samples you sent in ZSList 2 and I love it all. One comment on "Lunatic Moon": I'd almost rather hear the whole mix be electric guitar, but it definitely works very well the way it is. I can't wait for the project to be released! Let me know if you guys need any help making a project website.

P.S. I'm leaving that Zebra 2 demo in my playlist. :)

  • 3 weeks later...

Was that recent submission of "Speed Limit" by sephfire from this project? I know that he is on this team and found it kind of strange that he would submit a mix from ff7 during the production of this operation. A theroy of mine is that sephfire and another started on that song and they both completed it and for some reason, they decided that it would be sephfire that would put it on ocr instead of VotL.

Where's that link?

Ya I wasn't aware of this project until most recently.

I'm ACTUALLY trying to get help on a song from Project:Chaos that will not play anymore or burn for me.

That was why I got an account... so I can ask whats up with that file... but no ones responded back... I even PMd the artist

Would that be Knuckleduster, by chance?

You can download it here: http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01526/#

No it's actually "Heads up for Tails" :???:

But thanks for that, however, thats the first bit of help I have receved and I posted about that on the 7th

Actually, most of the Special Tracks, including Heads up for Tails, don't work. If you check the official website of Project Chaos, you'll find a solution to fix the broken tracks. :)
