Garrett Williamson
They're totally proprietary and their songs come in mp4 format, playable only on iTunes and not shareable. (but, you can convert to mp3 with FreeStudio or other programs) (oh wait, my husband just said you can now convert to mp3 right within iTunes) yeah iTunes can do mp3 easily I use it all the time and find it extremely convenient Isn't iTunes only compatible with Apple products? no
Rexy
Isn't iTunes only compatible with Apple products? Not at all. I've used iTunes for years and I'm a Windows junkie, so you should be good with that
FenixDown
You guys had me until 'iTunes'. I'm glad you're considering other possible avenues of sale, Amazon MP3s might be worth looking into. This is a pretty cool development for OCR, congrats to everyone featured on the album. Looking forward to hearing it.

I don't know anything about iTunes. Can you "take the songs with you" without having an iPod or some form of iDevice? If you use Windows can you basically just play the music in the iTunes program? I'm glad you're considering other possible avenues of sale I'm personally holding out for vinyl

I haven't tried transferring to non-iPod portable players through iTunes, but one thing I did in the past with iTunes purchases was converted into MP3 and transferred them onto my old MP3 players through Windows Explorer. And yes, if you use Windows you CAN play them through iTunes themselves. I'm personally holding out for vinyl Lol, though to me an audio casette would be nice
Eino Keskitalo
Install iTunes -> sell soul to Apple -> buy album -> also buy the Roof Beam Carpenters album while you're at it -> convert to MP3 -> uninstall iTunes can't get your soul back from Apple tough Kidding about souls and Apple, but not sure I want to jump through those hoops either. DarkeSword, won't the bitching about iTunes-only in this thread help make Capcom consider other distribution channels? --Eino
Flexstyle
iTunes tracks are DRM-free these days. No sweat playing them on my Android phone, for instance. I don't see what the big deal is.

Because we (i.e. OCR staff) are already interested in pursuing other avenues of sale in addition to iTunes. It's just a matter of us working out the details. So complaining about it is just akin to yelling at fire to keep burning. Edited September 16, 2013 by DarkeSword

Mirby
I like the cover art we got. Looks nice, fits the title. Also Capcom-Unity already revealed the tracklist. Amazing lineup on this thing. Can't wait to hear it Edited September 27, 2013 by Mirby

Mirby
it's out! and it's $19.99. edit: hmm... the vgmdb entry lists the price as $9.99. which makes sense since the other album is that price. so either vgmdb is wrong or itunes got it wrong. Jivemaster
That pricing was an error and should now be fixed.

Jivemaster
Sorry Mirby my answer sounded really cold, I was just typin quickly. Spare a thought for us Aussies who get raped by iTunes album prices. The original price was $35.49 for us lol. Had small heart attack. It's now a comfortable $
Mirby
No worries, man. I only replied to point out that you're half of Helicopter Knife Fight. Nice work on that, by the way.
Brandon Strader
Aussies are getting screwed from every side, it's a lot less appealing than it sounds. They can't even get M-rated video games there a lot of the time without some kind of censorship. Sucks you gotta pay double
