Mak Eightman Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 it's far from being easy, and we are 3 people giving feedback. Thanks! If you'll have too much stuff to handle, i can help with feedback a bit(bad english).
Brandon Strader Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 We need to organize, and getting the official OCR status will help a lot. For now, please be patient, because it's far from being easy, and we are 3 people giving feedback. Thanks! I don't think it will! FF3 is official and we never even got a subforum. You might have to find another system. It's easier doing it on my own, cause I can just listen to something immediately as it is sent, and then label it a wip and put it in my wip folder. But there have been complaints that nobody else can hear any of the mixes, but it's out of my control.
Chernabogue Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 The main problem is that we (all 3) need to review the track before sending feedback to the artists, and that takes time. Don't worry, we'll get organized!
Brandon Strader Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Having a subforum would definitely be a huge help for you, with 3 analysts.
HoboKa Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Having a subforum would definitely be a huge help for you, with 3 analysts. Yeah, I've been waiting an eternity. Well, not really, but I'm so anxious to hear the feedback... q.q
Yami Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Ok, another question, because I'm new to this whole "getting a track on an album" thing, I'm nearly done with a rough sketch, so who should I mail it to? In which format? Do you need a timeframe yet or should I wait for approval? Sorry for bothering you
Brandon Strader Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 You should print it out and mail the file's code to the French Embassy, then after 6 to 8 weeks your letter will be analyzed and written back into the computer so that it can be observed. Another 6 to 8 weeks from then, and you might have a response about the file. Good luck!

Since I'm in Berlin next week, I'll personally deliver a printed out waveform and a floating point matrix to the French Embassy

It's cheaper and faster. edit: it'll deliver your stuff right to Alex's inbox Edited November 8, 2013 by Mak Eightman
Yami Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 edit: it'll deliver your stuff right to Alex's inbox I'm 95% where I want my WIP to stand right now, I just want to do some minor adjustments, to deliver my best work (relatively speaking), but since I can't right now, I wanted to ask first
Chernabogue Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Please send it to pufreak, evktalo, and I. I'd prefer by pigeon, so I can eat as well.
Yami Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Please send it to pufreak, evktalo, and I.I'd prefer by pigeon, so I can eat as well. In which format? Mp3 or wav? And I can't guarantee a tasty pidgeon
Chernabogue Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 In which format? Mp3 or wav?And I can't guarantee a tasty pidgeon Mp3 is fine for WiPs, but the final track will have to be in wav. NP about the pidgeon.
Chernabogue Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Feedback sent to Lashmush and HoboKa. The French Embassy thanks you for your patience! ---- I'm in need of a new vocalist for the Sturm track. It didn't pass the panel for BA2, and vocals and mixing were the real problems. If you do clean or death/black metal vocals, please contact me. Thanks. I'll also need a guitarist for a secret track I'm working on. Once it's done and that I have the greenlight from Pieter and Eino, I'll need live recordings. It's something fast, heavy, and contains both rhythm and lead guitars. Thanks again.

HoboKa Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Feedback sent to Lashmush and HoboKa. The French Embassy thanks you for your patience! ---- Got it. Thanks. I sent a pretty big response just to warn you - but it'd be great if you can address my concerns and suggestions about how I could go about rectifying the problem areas >.>

Once it's done and that I have the greenlight from Pieter and Eino, I'll need live recordings. It's something fast, heavy, and contains both rhythm and lead guitars. Thanks again. I happen to know one who would help out if you're still looking. He also recently purchased guitar rig 5 pro and will send you clean tracks if you want to re-amp them.

Brandon Strader Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 re-amp them. ^ Agree. I heavily recommend re-amping. Sixto can do it and I can do it, maybe some others, but I haven't asked around. I do need to buy a reamping box but if you think my heavy guitars sound good as is then you'd be in business. Chern, As for metal vocals, you know I already offered man, but if you want someone else for it then that's cool.

AngelCityOutlaw Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 You're on, man! You were great on VV2, good to have you back! ^^ Awesome. I've also been trying to make arrangements of different boss themes and see if any of them are worth sending to you guys. If you need someone with Guitar Rig, I own it too, btw So far I love Guitar Rig. You can definitely get good and diverse tones with it.
timaeus222 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 It's great you finally got it, 'cause I got it too (with over 1000 presets, so we'll never run out lol).
AngelCityOutlaw Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 It's great you finally got it, 'cause I got it too (with over 1000 presets, so we'll never run out lol). Seems a bit excessive lol. I find that the hot solo+, which is modeled after a Soldano really has that..."sound" I don't know how to describe.
AngelCityOutlaw Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 (edited) Yeah, if you guys can give me till the end of the month, I'll shoot ya a WIP of the Dahaka's theme from Prince Of Persia. Speaking of which, if anyone has something like East West's Ra and would be willing to process some MIDI through it for me, that would be amazing. Edited November 12, 2013 by AngelCityOutlaw
