bloodydust
btw... hardest boss... Metal Gear Solid 2. Play it on hard and you have to face like 50 mechs at once, in intervals of 3. more like 25, that's the total that were made.
Viewtiful Fig
Very early in the thread (Pages 2-4?), I read a bunch of comments on how hard Dr. Wily was in Mega Man 4. Let me tell you how many tries that bastard took. Three. Well, not his last form. Took me a minute to figure out what the hell to do, then another few to actually do it right. Asshat. But he wasnt the hardest boss ever. No way.
dPaladin
Bloodydust... I said that, its 25, not 50, and you just DOUBLE POSTED!
FhearTehSp00n
Oh the WORST boss ever would have to be that damn ball in PONG. How in the hell were you suppoed to beat that thing. No matter how mush you hit it it always bounced back. Oh and that damned Playsation 2 logo when you boot up your PS2.It never gave you enough time to beat up that thing. It would ALWAYS run away. Silly comments are needed when topics exceed 50 pages. They spice things up. 2 cents-In

FhearTehSp00n
In seriousness, I think one of the HARDEST game bosses would have to Amakusa and Zankuro from the Samurai Showdwon series. Holy Crap they were little jackasses. 2 cents-In
Kiyosuki
Amakusa wasn't actually that bad, if you had the guts to look like a fool and hit him a few times and wait for the time out. ^^; Nothing beats Samurai Spirits 2's last boss though. I can't believe I forgot to mention her. Man, SNK loves to make its bosses painfully hard. I can't wait to see what monstrousity they make for their version of Arcade SNK vs Capcom. Heh, Shin M.Biakuochi Goenizerogill. With raging demon, M.Bison's speed and supers, Goenitz's regular moves and power, Gill's ability to ressurect, Zero's cheapness, and Shin. Sounds like fun. FhearTehSp00n
Yeeesh, I forgot about her. God she was an ass clown. Hows about friggin CyberAkuma Or Onslaught. They were dam near impossible for me until I ACTUALLY started figuring out when to attack. But M.Bison.....Whoa. You know how much I hated the battle in Street Fighter Alpha 3 when you do the mission mode. After you clear U.S.A which you think is the final stage.....WRONG. No, you go to that silly little island where you get REAMED by the 2 M.Bison dramatic battle. That Psycho Crusher was INSANE!!! It took me like 3 months to beat it with friggin Sakura. Makes me feel like a total n00b altho I have been playing since the days of c64 and nes I think the hardest boss I ever fought(and remember) was the two badass weapons in FF7... the one in the sea and the one in the dessert.. Meiguoren
So I just gots me some Super Punch-Out and I'm going crazy. My adreneline is pumping and my hands are shaking. I didn't see me some Super Punch-Out anywhere in this list (but an old man's memory is fuzzy) so I'm going to bring some. Hoy Quarlow. I know he's not technically a boss, but goddamn is this guy hard. I can't knock him down. He's just too fast. I've seen his moves, I've even tried to study the telegraphers, but I just can't get it down. Not once have I beat this guy. Not when I was a kid, not last year, and not after two days of owning my own cart. And I shiver with fear just thinking about the Bruisers. Frost_Walrus
Hardest Boss eva......MegaMan X3 THE GOD DAMNED CRAWFISH!!!!! I swore that till the day I die, I will hunt him down and make him pay!!! I will feast on the flesh of the living!!! Actual hardest boss would probably have to be Dhaos from Tales of Phantasia. Great game, but Dhaos beat my ass a whole lot.
Blitz Senshi
I don't know if I mentioned this already, but I had a hard time with Miguel in Chrono Cross...I probably sound like I really suck, but for some reason, that guy was a total pain in the ass for me. elman
Hello? No one's ever played Armored Core: MoA? The last boss was RIDICULOUSLY hard! He had every type of weapon in the game, and could fly! It's my favorite boss battle of all time...
Boogiep0pPhantom
For me, the hardest boss I've fought was the last two bosses of Breath of Fire 2. They make you go through an insanely hard dungeon for like two hours and then fight an insanely hard boss, followed by more impossible dungeon, and the last boss. That took me months to finally beat. Rexy
I say Robotnik in Sonic Spinball. It's a bit hard to keep inside the boss table while trying to hit him at the same time.
DJ_Aquagenesis
The cyberdemon from Doom. Sorry kiddies but he ownz you. Oh and that one level In Doom II where both the cyberdemon and fight you at once. D00D. EZ FIGHT. RUN AROUND IN A CIRCLE UNTIL THE SPIDER MASTERMIND HITS THE CYBER DEMON! THEN THEY WILL DUKE IT OUT. then it takes about 3 rockets to kill off the victor
DisTORteD_DreAM
**Warning Chrono Trigger Spoilers Ahead** Okay My Current Hardest Boss is in Chrono Trigger... Now if I can set the Tempo for why it's hard then maybe you'll understand... Firstly: CRONO on Lv. 16, MARLE on Lv. 16 and ROBO on Lv. 12... Secondly Fighting LAVOS (end Boss) the first time you can select too... For those who don't know what I mean... Basically once you reach THE END OF TIME, you just have to obtain MAGIC then you can use the BUCKET WARP which teleports you to 1999 A.D. DAY OF LAVOS... Fighting LAVOS at different stages of the game means you get different endings and/or funny things happen. It also means you can finish the game very quickly as once LAVOS is Beaten it's the End (obviously) Well I want to see all the Endings so I decided to take on LAVOS straight away to get first ending well now he's turned his ATTACK MODE to MAGUS.... for those who don't know MAGUS Requires the FROG to Have MASAMUNE (think that's correct spelling) otherwise you only do an average of 12 hits of health (normal bad guys take around 111 from CRONO), I need to eventually do a total of 6666 (ooh spooky) anyway FUCKING HARD!!! ... Maybe need to level up more... hmmmm...
Jogilius
The cyberdemon from Doom. Sorry kiddies but he ownz you. THEN THEY WILL DUKE IT OUT. then it takes about 3 rockets to kill off the victor 3 rockets? WTF! FAR MORE... CyberDemon is far more superior to Spider Mastermind, so to finish him off, lots of rockets are needed... And especially when there are lots of enemies around, Spider Mastermind's lifespan decreases faster since minigun is an efficient way to make other baddies angry. That's level 20 btw. But that isn't even a difficult level in the end. The most difficult ones, when playing the levels the one & only way (Ultra violence starting off with only the pistol and without saving) are probably levels 23 and 29. Or that's how I remember it. anyway, theCore, if you think Cybbies are difficult (which they aren't, they are just so goddamn long-lasting), try my level, in which you get to telefrag some Cybbies: http://www.sunpoint.net/~jogilius/Pentagon.zip Telefragging cybbies was indeed the original idea when I started building that level, but the level grew more complex, and is in UV very difficult, but very much possible. I think I've played it through twice on uv without cheating. Doom Mega-mayhem...
