supremespleen
I need some ideas.
Brushfire
If you want gift ideas we need to get a price range. If money is no object Spleen, I would ask for a HD video camcorder.
supremespleen
I'm looking for stuff like, in the 20-100 dollar range. Possibly 200. I'm considering various MP3 players and wouldn't mind advice on that. Also Wii and DS games, maybe other cool gadgets and CDs? All ideas are appreciated! Shining Mirage
I'm hoping you have/were thinking about Luminous Arc... ... ... ...Right?
Jetfire1
I myself am asking for an iPod or something like that. Course, I have no clue which one to specifically ask for since they keep changing, plus a few exes have told me about various battery problems that seem to plague the iPods. BeleagueredandBeset
CD's? What kind of music are you into, brother? Besides ReMixes, of course. And I'm thinking about putting Battalion Wars II (Google BWii) on my list. Plus, I still haven't gotten Mario Galaxy, so that's another must. EDIT: The iPod battery problem is generally in older iPods, if I understand correctly. My 30GB iPod + Video has never had the same battery problem that my old 3rd Generation had. zircon
I picked up an iPod Photo back in Fall 2005 - 30gb - and I haven't had any problems necessitating repair or part replacement.
Bahamut
I picked up an iPod Photo back in Fall 2005 - 30gb - and I haven't had any problems necessitating repair or part replacement. Lucky you, my 20 GB 4th gen iPod broke on me 4 times in a little over an year, and my 30 GB 1st gen iPod Video was getting really shitty battery life before getting stolen in under a half an year. As for what I'm asking for for Christmas, I ask for nothing, as usual.
linkspast
I usually only ask for things I need but dont want to buy.... Like socks and deodorant. Lame but I If I dont have to buy stuff like that then I can spend it on things I do want. Of course it works the other way as well... Sounds like you have had bad iPod luck, my friend.
Noj_R
I got a 5th generartion 30GB video iPod for christmas last year and havent had a problem yet. Ive been seeing the 30GB Zune going for around $100 at radioshack and dell, so thats a different mp3 player to consider. If you have a 360, Mass Effect is fun, and for Wii, SM Galaxy is a must. I dunno about the PS3...
supremespleen
Yeah, advice on MP3 players please. I'm thinking like, 100 bucks tops though. Any experience with Creative or Sandisk players? I don't want an ipod.
anosou
Nothing. I'm giving stuff. *puts on his halo*
Lemonectric
I think one or both of my sisters has/have a Sandisk player. I haven't heard them complain, although my older sister wants to get a Zune for christmas. As for me, I asked for long sleeve shirts and hoodies since most of mine aren't big enough. And the Zelda DS Lite. If they can't get their hands on one of those, I've told them a pink Lite is fine too. There aren't really any games I'm interested in that I haven't already bought. Christmas isn't really all that exciting once you get older and start buying things for yourself. I'll probably be getting a whole bunch of lame gifts to go along with the stuff I asked for. Oh well. It's an excuse to visit my cousins and play some Smash Bros.
BeleagueredandBeset
As far as I can tell, it's pretty hard to find a decent MP3 player that doesn't top a hundred beans, mate. Perhaps an iPod Nano? How many gigs are you after?
monkofevil
Yeah, guitar hero 3, WII style... As for an MP3, sandisk is the way to go if you don't need the Ipod interface... You could probably get 25gb out of 100 bucks from sandisk.
The Pezman
I want poontang. Hope that helps.
Kirie
I asked for a few DS games.. likes Cooking Mama 2, Phantom Hourglass, and Rune Factory. Nothing terribly exciting. As for MP3 players, I have an Ipod video, and haven't had any problems with it.
1337 1
My iPod video (30GB) works fine. Most people whinge about poor battery life because: a) they never charge their ipods and they have a music playlist made up entirely of videos. Videos obviously drain battery life You'll be fine, so long as you don't try and watch the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy or anything
Jetfire1
Thanks for all the info on the iPods. I was pretty much just wanting something to play music while I go on a few road trips next year. As far as anything else goes, I'm pretty much not wanting/expecting anything other than something I would buy for myself. Only other thing I might want is either a Wii or PS3. Arek the Absolute
I'm hoping you have/were thinking about Luminous Arc...... ... ...Right? Ugh, cause if you are, don't. The game is too cliched out. Fun game for about 10 hours, then it gets old fast.
supremespleen
I'm currently trying to find out which of these two players is the best deal, would be the best for me. This one? Or this one?
Arek the Absolute
I would have to go with the SDMX4, but that is me really going off of aesthetics. I am not sure when it comes to Sandisk. I personally would actually recommend Creative Zen mp3 players, but that is just me.
Guy In Rubber Suit
I just made an Amazon wish list putting everything on my mind down and then sending it off to my parents, brother and girlfriend. They can get whatever or nothing, I really don't care, from that list. It mostly consists of DVDs, games and music though I also asked for a PSP. If I get that, great if not then I'll get it on my own.
DuskyFerret
I personally would actually recommend Creative Zen mp3 players, but that is just me. I wouldn't. The bloody thing freezes. What kind of mp3 player freezes? Seriously, you can do better.
