  1. So a skeleton goes driving on a highway and turns on his radio... who is he listening to? I don't suppose it's not too crowded for more Undertale? Because here's an 80s-style remix. Sources: I feel like this might be a bit too close to the source because I think I'm too fond of the main melody to try and mess with the arrangement too much. I mean that game's soundtrack though, right? I also think some parts on the synth are clashing but I'm having difficulty spreading them out without proper headphones(they got ripped ). Anyway, I don't think I'm going to change the arrangement but I'm very open to ideas. What do you guys think? I'd love to hear some feedback. Bonus(bone'us ha!) points for an answer to the skeleton joke.
  2. LongBoxofChocolate is looking for a Viola or Cello player to record melodic content for our Undertale album. Right now, "Waterfall" is what we could use you on the most, but please let us know if you are interested in more. We have well formatted sheet music ready to go for you, and we have a demo track for you to record alongside for reference. Please let me know if you are interested. All arranging is done in-house. Thank you, - Hank Jankerson -
  3. UPDATED 23/02: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/93823550/Papyrus_8.mp3 This is completely done now, I would love a Re-eval before submitting it! Sources: Description: So I had this idea while listening to something completely unrelated and this came out hahah What do you think about it?
  4. Here are some of my recent and old projects I've worked lately. As of now I trying to revive my soundcloud and youtube out of their graves but anyway I hope you guys enjoy. Btw I post my songs here first: https://soundcloud.com/dj_flangerous2 Undertale - Death By Trap Endless Thoughts |Zelda's Theme OOT Hip Hop Sample| UFO - (SSBM Fourside Trap Remix) (prod. 5. Hey OCR! I made a 200bpm drum & bass / nightcore remix of the Spider Dance theme from Undertale! Let me know what you think, free download in the youtube video. - Mykah
  6. Greetings, OCR! I've submitted this track to the inbox already, I just wanted to hear some feedback from you guys. Yes, it is finished. I reimagined Gaster's Theme from Undertale into what I think his battle theme would sound like! And since Toby Fox is so big on leitmotif, I figure I'd incorporate the same compositional elements that he did. There's bits from the CORE theme, as well as Bonetrousle. While this is technicaly my first submission here, I've produced elsewhere for a good 6 years or so. Hope y'all enjoy. :3 SoundCloud link: https://soundcloud.com/audio_anomaly/metaphysical
  7. The Undertale soundtrack is one of the best I have heard in years. I feel like making an album of remixes of this amazing soundtrack would be a great idea. If you are interested comment below. Here is a playlist of music from the game, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7RRgF5Ve_E&list=PLpJl5XaLHtLX-pDk4kctGxtF4nq6BIyjg
  8. Hey guys, In a crazy whirlwind of productivity, I put together this arrangement/music video in roughtly a 24-hour window lol. There's a link to the SoundCloud file in the video description if you want to download it. I hope you enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7206KnnMYvI
  9. Undertale is pretty cool and I like RPG battle music. Original: Feedback is appreciated. Thank you for listening!
  10. Anyways, the opening song of Undertale is beautiful, and I wanted to make a remix. I completely changed the chords of the first part, and the melody of the middle bit. There's a lot more instruments doing stuff in general. It also ends with a hint of "Your Best Friend" Original: https://tobyfox.bandcamp.com/track/once-upon-a-time-2 Remix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YP3jAa70qY
  11. I'm working on a remix of Undertale. WIP 2: https://soundcloud.com/wch090-james/floweyhop2-1/s-htdkq WIP 1: https://soundcloud.com/wch090-james/floweyhop/s-8P9pt I'm using "Your Best Friend" as the main source this time. Since this melody also appears in various other tracks in the OST, I'll try to incorporate elements from those tracks as well. Any feedback or criticism are greatly appreciated Source:
  12. So, in Undertale, there's a character by the name of W.D. Gaster. Long story short, he's a character whose existence is only mentioned via manipulation of the game's code, and among these manipulations is actually for the guy, which I decided to try and remix into a full-fledged battle theme. Of course, the theme isn't exactly a sprawling and elaborate piece of music, so I have a lot of room to work with. Here's a link to the remix! This is most definitely not finished; there's still a bit of composition work I want to do, and I haven't so much as touched anything as far as mixing goes, so it might sound a bit muddled or clippy or other such odd bits and bobs. It's more of a proof of concept I wanted to share so I can get some feedback on what I'm doing right and where to go from here!
  13. So.... Undertale is kind of a masterpiece, and needless to say, I was blown away by the complexity of the soundtrack. In addition to a ton of memorable and unique character themes, the Undertale soundtrack makes admirable use of leitmotivic development and foreshadowing and even some musical misdirection. It also features some very subtle and clever allusions to to other soundtracks. I thought perhaps we could take a crack at unpacking some of the themes, how they're constructed, what they're trying to say, how they change as the plot progresses, etc. This is impossible to do without massive spoilers, so probably nobody who hasn't finished the game should be reading any of this. To kick it off, I'll start with ONE small thing I thought was wonderful: The song you hear at the Game Over screen is a statement of Asgore's theme (I'm pretty sure it's Asgore's theme anyway, though there are probably many many ways to interpret it), and it's also Asgore's voice urging you to stay determined and try again. This would hint at the tragedy of his story, the ambivalence of his role as both "end boss" and "needs your help desperately" IF you knew from the beginning what the theme meant. But the it doesn't get formally introduced until the final battle with him and this creates tremendous build-up and anticipation. It also gives you a lot to pay attention to and ponder during the second playthrough. The theme itself is in dorian mode which makes it sound simultaneously mysterious, heart-breaking, and uplifting. What are some things that struck you about this game's music? What important themes can you identify and how are they used?
  14. Hi, everyone! I have been trying to do a few video game covers/remixes, but I have to say that I have been going through things mostly blind (or maybe deaf is the term?) Anyway, I am aware that this community has a reputation for offering great constructive criticism, so I wanted to submit something I did relatively recently. In terms of arranging, I usually err on the side of going too conservative with the original piece. For this one, I did a couple of things...I tried to swing the piece (whereas in the original, the notes are straight). Additionally, since in the game, there is another song that plays in close proximity to this one, I tried to integrate motifs from that song (the second youtube link below) in the latter half of the piece. I'm wondering if you would judge that it came out well? My cover: http://tindeck.com/listen/uaofc Original (main song): Original (spliced in song during the latter half of the cover/remix):
