Yoshi's Island Sambatronic 2025-10-12 2358.mp3 Was on the fence about finishing this for submission, brushed it up a little bit and will polish some more since it's pretty much 90% there.

Gorgeous ReMix, just lovely to lie back and listen to. Rich woodwinds really gives it that ambient Zelda feel, or at least when I think of it anyway. Tripp and the arrangers she works with always deliver and this milestone mix is no different. Love it.

Rubber-stamping this in agreement with the others here: Lofi is more than just a general "sound". You want to focus on maximizing what's there while remaining as minimal as possible. What's here feels like a short-cut on the general idea of what lofi is. Seems like an EQ applied on the master to cut the highs and roll off some of the low end too. This arrangement also needs more personalization too other than a slower tempo. The background elements are static and repetitive. Change things up from time to time, introduce new sections, new instruments, anything. To me this is a work-in-progress concept still, and not a finished and polished idea yet. NO

I really like the "lo-fi" bass here mixed with some more 'crystally" sounds, feels like im exploring a cave full of glowing....crystals! Possibly after consuming some mushrooms found in the cave. You know what, s****'s getting wild, time to get out of the cave! Adding this one to the "chill, rainy day" playlist! 😎🤙

One of my favorite things about this site is I learn something new about music itself every so often. When I read the critiques before the song(most of the time, I swear), sometimes I get confused, and feel compelled to learn more. Other times I just piece together clues slowly as I read more and more judge critiques and sort of "solve" what their discussing.....Anyway, what I mean to say is, I only had a vague idea of time signatures, and the emphasis on the time signature being challenging made me ask, well what the hell is 13/8 mean anyway? So it send me down a 20minute youtube rabbit hole where I took an introductory lesson into sheet music on bars, measures, and finally timings. I still cant tell a 4/4 from a 6/4, but now I know that 13/8 is really fast. Lol. And I feel that in the drums. And I love it. This is a fantastic remix, gives off a whimsical but industrial vibe, at the same time. Great stuff!

Always been a huge fan of goldeneye...so many 4 player matches....slappers only...license to kill....turbo.... And of course, the oldest always got oddjob, relegating us all to get chopped to death at our knees.... But I digress. Really moody ambience here, far more haunting than expected in a 007 track, but I dig it. In fact, I don't recall this original melody, which is kind of blowing my mind when I think about how much we played this game..I really like what's going on though, definitely has an epic sense of mystery, suspense and perhaps doom. Fantabulous.

This is SO good!! We need more of this style haha. 😎

The artist's comment of "please accept this :'(" strikes me as sad, there's already low confidence that this mix will be good enough. Larry covered the points very well, I'm basically co-signing with him. The highs have been rolled off above 3KHz, and that alone does not suffice for lo-fi. The arrangement is simplistic and repetitive and overly conservative to the source song, and it lacks real personalization and development. I suggest you take that low-pass EQ off the mix, and focus on the arrangement first, giving it some personalization and proper structure. Introduce some changeups, some original this or that, textures and ear candy and whatnot. Then in the mixdown stage, that's when to focus on how to get this sounding like proper lo-fi, which is a process in and of itself and involves quite a bit more finesse than just slapping an EQ on the master and murdering the top end. I've heard quite a few variations on this theme over the 20 some odd years I've perused this site, and this is definitely a top notch variation! Love the instrument choice and execution. The one crazy mutation in the middle was a bit off-putting, but I suppose that's the point in Dancing Mad. Anyway I'd also like to thank jnwake specifically from this track for all the collaborations I've observed you in. Artists like you keep this site alive with new music, I feel like as I've been working my way backwards from the newest music back to the very beginning I am frequently seeing your name on the tracks on the first couple pages, so that's awesome for OCR and listeners like me.

Perfect melody while I am studying my piano technicians book.. Soothes the brain like a cool ocean breeze. Wonderful.

Fantastic remix, title is great, fits exactly how the theme feels, like being in some trippy underwater zone.
