  2. I always find this one so very impressive; I always dreaded that track coming on from the original soundtrack I had burnt to CD, so I was mesmerised the first time I had heard this arrange, and I so clearly recognised 'Oh, my, it's THAT track! It sounds so good!' - I think it's been a huge inspiration to me, the skill it takes to keep the heart of the track in that it is so instantly recognisable, whilst creating something unique and new which sounds so very good to the ears! It's been a mainstay in my music rotation ever since, and I can't help but keep showing it to half of the people I meet.
  3. @ArikXu_Hugo That is perfectly fine! Just let me know when you get to it and update me on the results / your progress! Original songs are more than welcome here. ♡

  5. What a jam, not only classic doom vibes, but classic C&C vibes with that "waah" echo!
  6. The track is really great but that bass at the beginning just comes through the speakers so perfect...that is all!

  8. Might have to change my original plans to an original song. Can't really find the motivation to transcribe notes at the moment. Will update if other things happen.

    Haunted House Party

I just noticed most of these are remixes of "Vampire Killer" 😂 I guess I should have named this 8Track "Dracula's Haunted House Party"🧛‍♂️
  10. This is a selection of remixes from my Halloween playlists that always make me want to dance! "Don't hold back... the music! Get up, let it move ya!"

  12. Last week
  13. It's the Orange Tree Samples Passion Flute.
  14. Even though it's a completely different song, this makes me feel like a more uplifting version of "Learning to Fly" by Pink Floyd. Really beautiful stuff, wish I could have had this to listen to on my trip to Italy a few months ago!
  15. Apologies if this is off topic I will say my piece on the track in due time, is this a new release from Joshua Morse, or this is a submission from 2010 that was re-released? I don't understand. EDIT: Ok, I think I understand, Josh submitted in 2010, and it was approved, and set to release now? WOW, thats so cool! I hope Josh didn't mind haha. I am a huge fan of Josh's remixes and this has all the ingredients for the best kind of ocr cake: Jazzy grooves, smooth synths, beautiful goosebump transitions. That banjo could have sent me either way: swamps of mississippi or western gunslinger. Overall love this, and tickled by this concept of delayed classics(if I am understanding correctly!).
  16. Ah I didn't know how/what to describe here, but that's the only thing in the mix that just doesn't work for me, if I could isolate that out, love everything else, got a nice bouncy beat and fantastic quality, especially given the year of release!
  17. So, I didn't start anything on my arrangement, and honestly I'm not that motivated by the source and idea at all. However, some time ago I had a weird dream that was pretty inspiring for a totally different source and style that also happens to be VERY fitting with the usual christmas vibe. It's the generic city theme from Illusion of Gaia, usually known as "Live City" and mostly linked to South Cape, the main protagonists' hometown. In genre terms the idea is to be some classic 70s rock in the style of Deep Purple, with heavy use of hammond organs and simple guitar riffs, but also some bells and more stuff. Including an ambiance intro with church bells, street noises and kids playing around (planning to record most of that myself during one of my walks out). A lot simpler and softer than my usual stuff, but still a vibe I'd love to try. Basically pretending to give that kind of nostalgic vibe commonly associated with our childhood playing with fellow kids and family members in the city during christmas times, this time without any grumpy stuff :)
  18. So, if I understood it right, this is a parody VGM album without any specific theme, right? Or should it all be about fishes? Either way, I'm strongly considering to use the parody aspect to try something with birbs again (for those unfamiliar, a silly vocal style emulating the sound of a chocobo humming melodies and screams and stuff). It's a long time since I did that, and I avoid doing because the prejudgements. But I see that fitting pretty well with what I understand about the concept of this album. So maybe... 👀

    Rebecca8Track

In honor of her 100th posted remix, I thought I'd try and pick out 8 of my favorite remixes by RebeccaETripp. The first 2 on this list are a couple of my favorite remixes across the entire site, but the rest were not so easy to narrow down. So this list is more like 2 of my all-time favorites, plus a sampling of other remixes by RebeccaETripp that I love. It was also hard not to include the impressive mega-collabs "Empress Waltz" and "Eternal Beginnings", which I love, but I think I love these tracks just slightly more.

  21. I'm probably semi useless outside of the Mega Man sources, but please count me in for team Mega Man
  22. Hey, my new album, Spiritual Renaissance, is now released! This project is an exhilarating sci-fi adventure featuring dark, deep and epic cinematic drum and bass in 165 BPM! It fuses atmospheric and trance-inspired sounds with orchestral Elements. Enjoy :) Bandcamp: https://mellowsonic.bandcamp.com/album/spiritual-renaissance

  24. Please enter me as a Mega man I have a rep to keep. But I can fill in if the successors need it
  25. Really like how the fusion rock is injected into these themes while keeping the watery ambiance going strong to make it both beautiful and groovable. And admittedly I'm a sucker for Lockjaw's Locker, so those nods were very welcomed to hear. Love this mix.
  26. Always loved this song on the album. The reggae flair fits the Overworld theme nicely and comes off very relaxing, but still upbeat. I dig it.
  27. I can actually relate to this, since I was hospitalized myself for about a week. Back then I had nothing to do either, so I spent my time reading comics and webtoons. I know this thread is old and hopefully your friend is already doing much better, but I’ll still share this for anyone else who might read later. Honestly, during times like that, life-based or reality-focused webtoons really help you feel emotionally lighter and more connected. For anyone looking, I recommend 뉴토끼 it’s a Korean site but it also has some English content, and you can find tons of free webtoons and manhwa there. It really helped me through that time.

    Scary Movie Night!

I know it's the 3rd and not the 13th on this Friday, but spooky season is upon us, so I wanted to remind folks of this scary/creepy/kooky/mysterious/spooky 8Track 🎃
