Hah, this is great! Solidly put-together soundscape, and I can tell you had fun with the synth jam at 1:28 - 1:56. Pretty good sample quality too, especially for 2001.1 point -

Hi folks If anyone is trying to claim something, please send me an audition of your best work in a PM -- not something quickly thrown together, but something that really demonstrates your potential to deliver a quality finished song! To everyone who posted WIPs, THANK YOU!! Everyone please check out that subforum and share some feedback. I'll get around to that at some point too. Right now I'm overwhelmed with work. Going 7am to 11pm tomorrow, it's not pretty. Very much tired I'll probably make one of those mass PMs to inform people of the next WIP date when I feel a little better Protricity who had claimed "The Stage is Set" dropped his claim because he said the Orlando attack was a false flag and I said he's gotta grow out of conspiracy theories. I guess that made him mad. Transparency! I'll hopefully get in touch with people who want to make claims soon, but like I said, if you're not posted, please send an audition of your BEST work!1 point -
Paths Less Travelled: Terranigma - History
Jorito reacted to Drawn by Dai for a topic
@Jean Of mArc @Jorito @Trev Correct, correct and correct. Fear not. Stems are only required if you're not confident in mixing your track. Otherwise, once it comes to the mastering stage we'll need a single wav with 6db overhead, for the sake of uniformity across the board.1 point -

OCR03419 - *YES* Super Mario Bros. 1 & 3 "The Ballad of Bowser's Balls"
DaMonz reacted to Chimpazilla for a topic
FIREballs, of course I meant FIREballs. Bowser throws massive fireballs. What kind of balls did you think I was referring to? Oh THOSE balls? Now you're just being gross and inappropriate. Yep I changed that one note so it fit with the chord progressions I was doing!1 point -
Yeah, I'd also expect to deliver a single wav file with enough headroom. Would be good to clear that up1 point

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Native Jovian reacted to The Damned for a topic
Agreed. I know it's not a popular opinion (like.. anywhere Zelda is discussed), but I actually kinda maybe sorta really despise the whole timeline thing. I suspect some flack for it after this, but whatever. Opinions gotta opin.. ion. Opinionate. Opin-... Shit. Part of it is the fact that I have never seen any of the games as part of a continuous series. I always viewed them as stand alone games that shared certain elements and characters. So I find the timeline idea kind of pointless. I don't need to know any of it to enjoy any of the game. You can play them in any order and they still work, as a series and as individual games. The overly mixed-up branching timeline mess makes it even less helpful. None of it affects the ability to play the games in any way. And frankly, I find the notion that I have know about timeline to enjoy Zelda to be laughable at best, insulting to my intelligence at worst. Yes, there actually are some out there that honestly believe you can only truly appreciate Zelda is you embrace the timeline. If you don't, you're not truly a fan. Personally, that kind of elitist fanboy snobbery pisses me off the most. Like, more than people that don't use their signal lights when changing lanes. The other part of it is that I've found the timeline theorist subset of Zelda fandom to approach obsessive, and even cringe-levels of fanboyism. I've seen entire threads, 500 pages long or more, just yelling at each other over how everyone else is wrong and only their particular version works. Hell, even after Hyrule Historia came out and showed the official canon timeline, they still argued over it. "NINTENDO IS WRONG, HERE'S WHY!: A COMPREHENSIVE BREAKDOWN OF THE FIVE BRANCH TIMELINE!" wasn't unheard of for months afterwards. Yeah, I get it's fun to speculate and all that, but god damn, the vocal minority of them has ruined that whole thing for me. I can't stand reading timeline stuff even to this day. You guys aren't that bad, but I still avoid all timeline talk when I can. I don't even read any posts about it any more. So maybe news about the game goes here, and timeline stuff can go in its own thread. I'm here for news about the new game, maybe even updates on recent games. (braces for downvotes/thumbs down/wait do we even have anything like that here/minuses)1 point -
Dissipating Sorrow (Endless Sorrow) from Final Fantasy IX

Extremely good double tracking on the guitar. Thank god you recognize it. The violin/viola has a nice room sound to it. Bodhran, need I say more? The flute is sampled right? Pretty impressive VI if so. Overall it's a great recording, well mixed. Organic for sure.1 point -

Lawn Party! Plants vs. Zombies album project! *CANCELLED*
Brandon Strader reacted to Chimpazilla for a topic
Some kind of update by July 1st please. This is ridiculous. Just send SOMETHING by July 1st. If I get nothing, tracks are getting reopened for new claims. Either that or this album will just be cancelled which would be a shame!1 point -

I'm an un-posted remixer and frankly got around to checking out projects just now after knowing about this site for years. What do you require for an audition? Just make a track on the song I want and hope it gets picked? Also...where are the tracks that are unclaimed? EDIT: Also is there by chance a "guide to ocremixer noobs to do all the things" somewhere if I'm asking redundant questions?1 point -

Hey everyone! @Brandon Strader is off the forums for 2 weeks and told me to throw an update your way. Both the FF3 and FF8 albums are still going strong, and everyone should still be working on those remixes If you need to get ahold of him and don't have any other way to contact him outside of the OCR forums, just shoot me a message and I'll see what I can do. This album is going to be amazing.1 point -

igNoring thE craSh - An NES Tribute Album [FINAL DEADLINE: AUGUST 10TH]
TheChargingRhino reacted to Jorito for a topic
I like the concept of this album and am willing to contribute a track. However, my roots being in the MSX scene and not so much in the NES scene I'm not sure which game to pick. There's quite a few games that were released on both systems (like Contra ), so those are the most interesting to me. From this list I'd pick either a song from Metal Gear, Bubble Bobble or Final Fantasy but not sure which one and which track. Unfortunately the OST from Metal Gear on the NES is so different that something like 'Theme of Tara' is no option.1 point
