Me, Drumultima, and two scholars not on OCR (Dana Plank and Michael Harris) have begun playing through Final Fantasy VI while we talk about what's interesting in the music as we go along. The first quarter or so of the game is done and posted to YouTube here -- join us Thursday, 2/9, at 9:00 PM EST for the next session (likely to include the opera scene). Any particular things you're interested in hearing us muse over between leaving Narshe after Terra flies off and departing for Thamasa (as far as we're likely to get next time)? Let us know! EDIT: Our second session is up on both YouTube and Twitch -- we got as far as the escape from the Magitek Research Facility. Doug couldn't make it (thanks to the Northeast weather) so we called upon Julianne Grasso to sub for him.

Alright, everyone: Announcement! I've set up a Discord page for us to meet, talk shop, and establish how we'll move forward from here. This is where we should plan on really figuring out our house rules, how we can figure out what we want to sing, talk choral composition shop, etc. It's taken me a little while due to increased duties on OCR, things moving out for the Lufia album, SMRPG release, etc., but this IS still on a pretty high priority. I'll be PM'ing you guys about it, as well as sending invites to people I know are on the list.

And it is yours! That's legitimately my favorite track from Lufia, so be sure to kick some ass with it.

Odai, thank you for your input. Question guys, is the processor for option 2 stronger than the processor in option 1? I'm confused because the processor in the 1st option is i7 which seems better than the second option which has i5. But the second processor is 3.2 GHz while the 1st option is only 3.1. Flexstyle, thanks for your input. I'm going with pro tools because every studio I've ever gone to to record, they all use pro tools. It's the industry standard and I just want to be able to get on the same page as everyone.

Jorito, you would be a great addition to the project. Just let me know what you've got an eye on and I'll mark it for you. Eitzpii, that's plenty to hold a claim for a 1st WIP, so the tracks are yours! I only request you send me some downloadable versions so I can store them properly, and once things get moving I'll give you some advice on where to go from what you've got. Welcome aboard! I've tweaked a few dates on the project, to account for the relatively slow start-up for the project (having no response until late January/early February counts as an extraordinary circumstance, to me), but seeing more people post in here with interest is a great thing to see. I moved the planned first compo to two weeks from now, but that WILL be when they start. For those that are less known, it's a great way to get something on the project easily and quickly, and for more experienced members there will be benefits to taking the compos by storm. Details on them in a week, where I will be announcing them on Discord and Facebook.

Double-post! I don't mean to get people's hopes up unnecessarily, but I just want to mention that folks have recently been bugging Retro Studios staff on Twitter what they're currently working on. They keep replying with pictures of prime rib.

All remixers should be listed in MusicBrainz. Most remixers will have at least 2 pages, one for their real name and 1 for each stage name actually used.
