  1. @dfcentre Perhaps I can help you: We don't really require passwords - user accounts allow participation on the forums, control of artist profile options, and will eventually be required for submissions, but simply browsing the site and downloading mixes can be done without an account. We DO have an SSL certificate, and we HAVE enabled the option in our forum software so that when you log on, it's via SSL. It redirects back out of SSL after the login has occurred, but the credentials are sent encrypted. See attached screenshot; you can also see this via logging out and back in - the password is posted via HTTPS.

  2. So about a month for the final deadline, and we're making good progress so far! The artwork for the front cover is now finished, and if you look at the opening post, you can already see a sneak preview Other than that, @evktalo claimed "Together Always" and I myself claimed "Whisper and Mantra" and "Flight into the Unknown". We also saw some check-ins from people already, with @HeavyViper, @Blake Inc., @Thirdkoopa, @Starphoenix, @Rexy and @djpretzel showing some very promising updates of their tracks. Really looking forward to the final versions; what we've heard so far is great stuff and I can't wait to get the album out Good luck with the last stretch, and keep up the good work guys!

  3. Thanks for the advice, I'll make some changes to the track and upload the results when it's done. The one thing I was most worried about was whether I had mixed the track well (given that I have no previous experience with mixing and such), so I'm glad to hear that it sounds good.

  4. I really need to listen to the whole OST if the songs are this good. Thanks for introducing me to it, HoboKa! Also, finally submitted my remix.

  6. I'm still not sure how much I'll be there, but I live in the area so I'll be potentially up for meetups. Won't be much help, though.

  7. I wasn't part of the original evaluation, nor have I listened to it so I guess I'll bring a fresh approach here. First thing to be addressed is the vocal SFX. I will admit I'm a fan of using narrations or vocal clips in my own music to add flavor and context, but I think they are a bit too much here. From what I can gather there used to be more prevalent in the previous version. In this version I think the usage is borderline, as in, I think they could be pushed back and removed further but they're not so prevalent as to take over what should be more important (the arrangement behind them). Speaking of the arrangement, I thought it was pretty sweet, the melodies and performances are a strong point, very jazzy, yet chill and freeform. I didn't take as much issue with the more crowded sections, and I really enjoyed the arrangement, even if I never heard the BOTW soundtrack before. Production is pretty solid for the most part, clean and warm in most places. I believe the vocal sfx will be a big point on contention in people's mind (and youtube comments!) if this gets posted, but this is the artist's vision for the track and the amount of sfx and whether they are enough or too much is now so borderline I think it will come down to preference. I would still like to point out to listeners to look beyond them as there's a very solid and enjoyable arrangement behind. YES

  9. Oooh I like this so chill! Give me a cup on lemonade on a sunny day in Celadon City! I would personally increase the volume of that sax to make it stand out more because thats the driver instrument of this track. Other than that it sounds pretty nice!
