  1. proving that there's always room for good music, @Jorito has come through with a wip of a fun pop ballad of "Reminiscing ~ Uneraseable Memory"!

  2. Haven't listened to the whole thing to give you a track list, but you can at least tell which game the tracks are from via the pop-ups in the bottom left. On the bottom line before the closed bracket it'll have a roman numeral (as long as it's from one of the core series and not the first FF game). It reads: "From [Final Fantasy (number)]" (to avoid confusion, "from" is the word that's on the right side of the brackets").

  3. That midi file would have been a bear to work with. I took one look at it and said noooope. Gonna listen to the submissions now.

  4. Mike's early remixes were a huge inspiration for me to get into music and remixing. Glad to see him back.

  5. I actually wasn't expecting this to go up on the site, but I'm super glad that people will have a chance to check it out here. Thanks for posting, guys! And yes, this time I hope to stay 'back' for a while. I've missed this way too much =)

  6. I remember that for most of the time that I ever walked around the Kingdom of Zeal, I always felt a little uneasy. It was like I somehow knew, even from the moment I set foot in it for the first time, that something was off about the place. (And of course, as the game goes on, you find out just how "off" a lot of things are.) Maybe it's the uncommon opinion, but I felt that same quality present in the original "Corridor of Time" theme. So even though the music in the original soundtrack is meant to be beautiful and calm, I always found that it made me feel just a little bit on edge the whole time. Anyway. As I listen to this, it reminds me of that one line that an NPC in Kajar says to you: "Your power... differs from ours. It's difficult to describe, but in you I sense a strange... kindness." Yeah. Something about the gentler instrumentation, the Eastern-sounding quality, the smoother articulations... maybe it's just my layman's interpretation, but I find it comes across as "kinder." And so, I like this almost more than the original. I think it's a beautiful piece of work.

  7. Thank for all the responses. I actually picked up X at a Goodwill. Works great, but have not played it yet. I do have the guide, so that shall help. Have tried 6 (or 3) but got stuck at the underground Moogle fight part (where you protect Terra from the captain)
