I think that the most exciting thing about this is the technology behind it. NFTs and blockchain technologies have been rightfully dinged for driving up the prices of consumer-level graphics cards, making it prohibitively expensive for gamers to purchase things like 3080s and the like. But with OCR's pioneering work on RFTs, we've managed to pivot and repurpose older consumer-level sound cards to handle the bulk of the processing power required to a) initially funge, 2) refunge, and d) ultimately defunge the tokens in question (if needed). We have an absolutely massive array of Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigies in our VA-based data center faciilty. It's very impressive.

Whatever the case, it won't be free. Pretty much all Distributors charge some kinda fee...some of them monthly as I have learned the hard way. But Bandcamp ALONE is a bad idea imo. As I don't know if Bandcamp offers any IP protection. Does your friend use SongSecure or some other blockchain/encoding service? Not talking NFT's of course. At any rate your friend has to do his/her own due diligence to protect their work, foisting that all on you is kinda unfair as it costs $$$ to do so. (EDIT) Well, Bandcamp IS free, but it's equally as unsecure as YouTube, as there are workarounds to download the "walled-off" content. Literally just google "Bandcamp downloader" and at least 3 applications will show up. So make sure your friend has some way to ensure he can prove his work is his IF the worst happens*. With the forum and the comments being less used then back in the day, I think the main page could do with a reorganization. Moving the new tracks front and center, or something like that. Considering most of the community has moved to Discord, it probably wouldn't hurt to have a link for that somewhere. And Soundcloud is great and all, but the Jet Force Gemini album came out nine months ago but it takes up a ton of real estate. I suppose it looks fine on mobile, though I'm sure it could be more streaming friendly. Anyway, I suggest all of that without having any knowledge of future site plans, costs or the amount of time any of that would take.

If anyone has example of sites with lots of content and the kind of interface you like, links are welcome, especially for mobile experiences. EDIT: Because djp will see this... Keep our beloved character mascots!
