I'm specifying because of the old talk about how wavedashing was actually noticed by playtesters but left in the game regardless.

I might as well throw my chip on the pile and admit the same thing - I've nothing wrong with Melee or Brawl being played competitively, so long as none of my friends try to pull that stuff on me, but if this is gonna be online... I just hope they catch every single possible exploit before it happens and actually fix it.

Doesn't fight Dracula, only makes pancakes! Would be the hero, he's four and a half decades laaate! I know a lot of people are gonna dislike me for saying this, but I hope they nerf Fox and Falco. It gets on my nerves because two of my friends and I all own our own copies of Melee and have played for years, and none of us play Fox or Falco, and then we have another friend, who owned the original but never had a Cube, who can still put up a great fight just by picking Fox or Falco. Mind you, my two best characters are Samus and Marth, with Falcon a distant third. One friend plays Pikachu ("Pimpachu") with unnerving awesomeness, and the other plays Link and Marth. No one wavedashes, all three of us have clocked hundreds of hours on each of our games, and yet our Fox-toting friend can still more than just keep up with us. Sorry. We just played a couple of days ago and it started to get on my nerves after a while. I just hope we have a substantially different tier set than last time.

After playing Richter Mode in Portrait of Ruin, I've come to realize exactly how well Richter Belmont would work in Smash. It's almost creepy. Up-B as his upward-knife jump (Up and L in PoR, D+U+Jump in SotN), Forward-B as the Vampire Killer (held a la Sheik's chain whip in Melee), Down-B could be any number of sub-weapons - the Holy Water and Cross and Bible come to mind immediately, but even the Bible could work. Or move the VK over to the Smash attacks and make For-B his Knife throw or Cross or the dash move he can do (the one where the cross spins over him while he dashes through pretty much everything). And for the Final Smash? Why, the Grand Cross (Cruz, if you insist) of course!

Definitely out just in time for Black Friday, and no more than a month sooner. We'll know by August or so, so no worries.

I would agree, but I think something I'd rather address is the whole problem of character symbols getting in the way - drove me nuts in Melee when the fights would spread out and two characters at the bottom couldn't see what the other was doing because the characters themselves were too small and the damage icons were blocking them. Thanks for helping oh so much. Your posting "he's got you there" helped us all a whole lot - as though they couldn't tell themselves.

You guys realize what this update means, right? It's theoretically possible to have an eight-player match in Brawl - four 'Cubers, four Wiimoters.

Then just read the reviews a week before the game comes out. No need to keep complaining here about it.

Uh, tilt by lightly tilting the control stick, the same way you attack upward while standing on the ground? Not too difficult, methinks.

Every time someone got the superscope in our group: "It's like rape. You just gotta let it happen and hope it never happens again." This could be ten times worse unless they tone it down or make you stand still while charging.

FFX's linearity was the exact reason I so despised it. Please, please, please don't let that happen to Zelda - an overworld is a beautiful thing indeed. Also, fortunately none of your straight-from-a-fanfic ideas will happen: Miyamoto knows better.

Yeah, but things change - I think once a developer said that his gastric powers build up as the match progresses until it's fully charged.

Corruption is getting extra stages and suits, when it comes out. We've known that for a while now.

I like the idea of First Boss or Hidden Boss month, but I think Transformation Month has limited potential - though if you started counting costume changes (Samus' suit and Morph ball come to mind, as do the costume changes in Symphonia), you might have enough. God forbid, man! xD

I just get up every morning and look at it then.
