  1. Hope you're getting some good artists.
  2. Looking forward to hearing everyone's tracks.
  3. I'm very sad, recovering from hernia surgery, so all the (modest) gains I've made from exercising these last 6 months are gonna be gone by the time I recover. oh well, nothing to be done about it.
  4. Like screaming rock vocals.
  5. If you're not going to record electric guitars, drums, or loud vocals, I would say no you don't need them.
  6. Unless everyone does dubstep on this album, there's about three dozen OTHER tracks that you will potentially like. So quit yer belly achin.
  7. I don't have remotely the drive or ambition for this field, so all I can say is good luck! Or rather, good luck combined with extreme persistence.
  8. And if it's not already an official genre, you need to nail it down ASAP.
  9. You can do some death metal dubstep. Deathstep... is that already a genre? Probably.
  10. I emailed Jake, and no, he had nothing to do with the song. I'd copy the email, but I'm on my phone and I gotta go get painful surgery in a few minutes, so it'll have to wait.
  11. It's settled, then, we're all going to do dubstep.
  12. Yeah, that's pretty much it. A lot of people just think of mastering as "smash the crap out of the track". Which, sadly, for the case of many "re-mastered" albums, is more or less what they did.
  13. Something I noticed is the drums start and just go on autopilot. Try to vary them up.
  14. Oh thank god, I was about to commit suicide over how freaking talented Jake is. lol.
  15. I was going to ask the same question.
  16. I really wish someone would do Slider as a hillbilly chase song. It's practically one anyway. Some real life fancy banjo pickin would be awesome.
  17. bloody GOG is always having sales. I've spent so much money there, I'm too scared to even tally up how much.
  18. I generally try to shoot for an RMS or dynamic range level when limiting. TT dynamic range meter is a good tool for this purpose. As for master bus compressors, I never use em. But people who do generally say you just want to be tickling the gain reduction. You'll want to mix into a bus compressor from the start, putting it on at the end kinda defeats the purpose.
  19. just upload it somewhere like, uh, I dunno. I always put stuff on my web space. I think Photobucket is a site to try.
  20. Not married, no kids. These days I live like an elderly shut in, as well.
  21. I don't have the modder's genes myself, but I'd happily pay someone to make me one. Something tells me it might be more comfortable than an actual N64 controller.
  22. oh hells no, that is SWEET. I'd actually pay someone to do that for me.
  23. Welp, it looks like I must remix this album myself. Whew. *trickle of sweat*
  24. That may be true. All I can say is I wish I could be more optimistic. btw, I don't think all Kickstarters are scams (FF6 project for instance).
