  1. Alright, ees done. See first post.
  2. I'm not even sure I can articulate why the second Witcher isn't grabbing me. The graphics are of course superior to the first. The story seems pretty good so far. I dunno. I find the mouse cursor to be kind of sluggish, that is actually irritating me a fair bit. All the components and shit are kind of overwhelming. Come to think of it, I don't particularly dig the GUI, the text is too small (christ I feel old). It seems to be a combination of small things, really.
  3. The first Witcher is one of my favorite RPGs ever. I'm working my way through the second one, but it's not capturing me the same way.
  4. yeah man I'm digging this. You certainly gave it more glitching.
  5. Any time your mix gets played in a store, restaurant, PA system, or anything similar, that's mono. Any time someone puts their speakers in some goofy ass placement, that's nearly mono. Some radio stations will sum your track to mono. In other words, more than 2 or 3 people on earth might hear your track as mono.
  6. Arrangement is spot on, if anything gets you into trouble it'll be the mixing. Rhythm gtr seems a little thin, drums a little weak. Would like to hear more reverb on the guitar leads. I LOVE the Civ4 theme, so much love for tackling it.
  7. Cool beans, you can put me down for the Hocus Pocus .
  8. Just get a mix posted.
  9. Soon as I get some time I need to revisit my Hocus Pocus mix.
  10. Just ordered my copy.
  11. Agree with the other comments. Your mix feels kind of empty. I'd EQ the bass synth differently because it sounds more like a lead sound. Try 1-2k range, pull that down. Or just roll off the entire mids and highs. wutever sounds good. Not sure aboot the Mario sounds. The track kind of meanders its way through four minutes.
  12. Is this fucking thing ever going to be finished?
  13. Not familiar with the game, but sounds good to me.
  14. Are you looking for any old synth with an arpeggiator? Or a synth with an extremely complex arpeggiator like Sytrus? Or an FM synth with an arpeggiator?
  15. this sounds weird but I almost expected Geddy Lee to come in during the intro to your song. I think the song should have more atmospherics across the board, feels a little empty.
  16. Agreed. Much more filth is planned.
  17. Hmmm. Problem for me is I've bought so many of the various pieces of Komplete it wouldn't make much sense to buy the whole thing, since they don't offer crossgrades or anything.
  18. Yeah this is my favorite song from the game.
  19. Oh it needs plenty of work. And to be longer. Daft Punk, eh? Cool.
  20. I asked on another forum, and an experienced mastering engineer told me that foam and carpet kill the high end but leave the low frequency energy (which is usually the most problematic anyway). I dunno. That doesn't sound very promising. Maybe just get one of those reflection filters.
  21. No problem man. It's pretty easy to get some better sounds. As for submitting medleys to OCR, I dunno, it's almost not worth it.
  22. I would say no, it's not going to pass. My reasons: 1. It's a medley. They generally don't accept medleys unless the sources are blended really well. 2. Cheap sounds. Sounds very GM-ish. 3. Pedestrian mixing of said sounds.
  23. I thought the step sequencer was just an alternate view to the piano roll? aka you use it on a drum VST track.
  24. I think a lot of the big names from VoTL aren't around much anymore.
