  1. I wouldn't say out of nowhere. For a while (since before FFTA) there's been buzz about new Tactics games. Seeing as how Squeenix is trying to milk every possible franchise now (FFVII, KH, and DQ in particular), it's natural they're going to try to capitalize on another FF series for more money.
  2. Mike Haggar. Like Haggar, I too had to rescue my daughter with only my bare fists. Oh yeah, I was also mayor at the time. Haggar Smash!
  3. For those of you who were really touched by the tragic death of Aeris, an excellent community was formed at this site: www.aerisdies.com, where people could come together and discuss the beauty that was the "heiress of the earth".
  4. Aeris dies?! Oh, and if we're doing another cry thread....
  5. Probably mentioned, but you can't much better than AmIEvil's Death on the Snowfield and Jeremy Soule's Squaresoft Variation, though they don't exactly fit the genres requested. Nonetheless, always a good choice for FF remixes!
  6. Probably mentioned already, but I just noticed VotL got its own headline over at Kotaku with a very positive response. Should bring in a ton of exposure, well done!
  7. obvious troll is obvious

  10. When looking for "fun" and "adventurous" movies you really can't go wrong with Miyazaki's Castle in the Sky and The Castle of Cagliostro.
  11. Heh, similar for sure but Mr. Miller completed Ronin back in 1984.
  12. For fans of Frank Miller and/or the movies 300 and Sin City, Miller's graphic novel Ronin is next in line to hit the big screens and is set to be released sometime in 2009. The story involves a samurai who is reincarnated in a dystopic mutant-filled New York and must destroy a demon with a legendary sword.
  13. Hah it's all good. We Americans know we're mostly bastards anyway.
  14. ^Heh no kidding
  15. For a series (the Prime series, that is) that had its bar set at MP (9.7 at Gamespot) and MP2 (9.1) I'd say yeah, 8.5 is a somewhat disappointing score--particularly for those who've been waiting for it for what seems like forever.
  16. fucking americans
  17. Unmod: Goodnight, sweet prince.

  19. Hi guys, I'm Reggie.
  20. ^Judging from the Massive Attack, Radiohead and Tricky albums he's bought I don't think we have to worry about him restricting himself to music that's only American. PP, I'm only familiar with a few of the mixes you linked to (and too lazy at the moment to listen to the others), but based on your like of Massive Attack (and trip-hop in general, I'm assuming), I strongly recommend checking out Royksopp, a Norwegian-based electronic duo. Their music covers a wide range from upbeat electronic to very mellow chill and jazz. I also suggest the artist Nujabes for your hip-hop, jazz, and chill needs. His albums Metaphorical Music and Modal Soul are particularly highly recommended, as are his musical contributions to the anime Samurai Champloo.
  21. The score was very Hans Zimmer-ish, and there was one part where it sounded very much like the Terminator theme.
  22. According to Wikipedia and SountrackNet "A soundtrack album for Steve Jablonsky's score for the movie is in the works and will be released sometime in 2007."
  23. There are rapidshits for it all over 4chan, but there are also a number of pics being posted listing every major spoiler so I'd advise any of you who don't want the book ruined to be aware of this...
  24. Wow, pretty awesome. Keep at it.
