  1. I understand your feelings, but Famitsu is generally pretty darn reputable. I agree that some of their ratings were way off on specific occasions (such as the instances i-n-j-i-n mentioned), but for the most part they tend to ballpark very it well.
  2. Forgive me if this has already been mentioned (in this or any other thread), but it seems that Famitsu gave a perfect score to SSB Brawl. I know a lot of you could care less about Famitsu's scores, but getting a perfect score is pretty noteworthy.
  3. Haha, so you aren't Bladiator, warrior of bladders. Damn, I sorta liked that.
  4. This isn't really important, but just to note Army of Two will have online play. And although it has not been confirmed, it wouldn't surprise me if it also made it to PC eventually. Anyway, it really just sounds like you need to make your own co-op game, seeing as how none satisfy you. :S
  5. Though it isn't a FPS, you might be interested in the upcoming game Army of Two. I don't know a tremendous amount about it so I'll just quote Wikipedia: 'Army of Two (AO2 or Ao2) is a co-op third-person shooter with a focus on cooperative and coordinated strategies. Players will join up with either the game's built-in "Partner Artificial Intelligence" (PAI) or other players "to fight through war, political turmoil and a conspiracy so vast it threatens the entire world." Co-op maneuvers Expected multi-player maneuvers include: Boost: One person stands up against a wall and holds his hands out while the other person gets lifted up. Second person can then reach down and pull first person up. Rapelling: One person holds a rope while the other one scales down the side of a building or a large wall. Back to Back: Both players go back to back to cover each other's non-armored backsides. Makeshift cover: Players can tip over tables, and other objects to create cover. Players can also pick cover up and carry around with them. For example, car doors can be ripped off to provide a shield. Death: Player that died will have to run away from "the light" while the other player goes through a button-mashing sequence to perform CPR. Driving: All vehicles need one player to drive and the other to man the turret. Known vehicles are hovercraft, fork lift, jeep, buggie and a boat. Ammo: If one player runs out of ammo, the other player can give him part or all of his magazine. Also players can trade guns at anytime. Emotes: Both players can do a range of emotes from slapping each other to playing air guitar. Also characters will communicate a lot and talk trash to one another. For example when Salem was healing Rios, Rios said "Where did you learn first aid, butcher school?" Healing: When one player is injured, the other player must run over to him and either drag him to a safe area or heal him in that spot.'
  6. I'll be in Portland during springbreak. Recommend any good restaurants? A friend that I'm visiting said Portland has the greatest burger place (Cornerstone?) in the world.
  7. This particular definition fits the OCR denizens pretty well.
  8. Wait a second. Damn, when I wrote that last post all I was seeing was a cannot display picture image for your sig. That was your best sig ever.
  9. I spent 15 years of my childhood in Hilo, Hawaii, but now I'm at UHM in Honolulu.
  10. Not really super related, but a bit amusing nonetheless. "Chinese Kid Becomes 'Fire Mage,' Sets Fire to Classmate" http://kotaku.com/337047/chinese-kid-becomes-fire-mage-sets-fire-to-classmate
  11. stop with the sequels oh god please stop
  12. Lot's of people have taken that theory into account. The issue with the right to bear arms and the abundance of violence in America, you see, is an actual problem. News articles about kids using Mortal Kombat moves to kill other kids are just sensationalized forms of entertainment for the dumb masses. If you really want to know about why America is so violent and why crimes like this happen the resources are out there, but just don't expect to get an actual view from the American media. Most intelligent folk know that videogames are simply just a rather easy scapegoat for what is actually a much larger problem (such as the "real" problems of negligence and so forth many of you have mentioned already in relation to this particular tragic killing), but at the same time for the majority it makes for more entertaining news to hear that videogames were the cause of this incident and not the pitfalls of dumb American society.
  13. You're probably already familiar with Erik Satie, but his is pretty much the epitome of "relaxation".
  14. That's cool, it's good to hear some people are enjoying it. Haven't really kept up with it, but aside from that new Resident Evil game are there many other games coming out soon where the zapper might play a factor in the gameplay? If there are I might look into getting one, though I have very low expectations for that Resident Evil.
  15. From what I've heard Link's Crossbow Training is pretty fun for as long as it lasts, which is only a few hours. Also, some say the game is actually a lot easier and far less frustrating without the zapper peripheral, but I have yet to try it out myself so that's not my own opinion. But yeah, only twenty bucks, right? For me personally I'd rather just wait until a friend picks it up to give it a whirl. Edit: Also, the zapper itself seems pretty gimicky and would probably just collect dust after a while.
  16. Wormllama is just too cute. Carefree can be this llama. [
  17. Nobody cares why. Sorry, I really am.
