Only three things should ever justify using excessive force; 1) the perp in question attempts to hit or strangle you in any fashion 2) the perp pulls a knife or gun 3) the perp attempts to take a hostage

Not entirely a bad response, somewhat thought out. I dunno Shariq, just seems like the cop really was in the wrong. Now I know you know better than to do something stupid like resist arrest and the like, but what if you were that 13-year-old? What if you were hanging with friends, and skateboarding, and this same cop came up to you and threatened you right away instead of being calm, and being respectful until it was really time to get nasty? It's not like he was dealing with prisoners, or a hardened criminal. He was dealing with children. CHILDREN. That should say something. Personally speaking, the kids in the video didn't look like they were threatening him at all. In fact, they were quite peaceful about it. The cop's the one that's being frantic. Still, there's two sides to every story, and it'll all eventually come out in the end. And one way or another, the city will most likely have to hire another cop to replace this one.

I'm currently in the search (as is Suzu), for a very, very good sounding Violin soundfont that covers a wide range of the sounds a violin can make. Therefore, I figured it would be worth asking if anyone has seen such a thing, and therefore, could direct me to some such device as I might be able to procure what I'm seeking. In other words, I'm looking for a soundfont for use in my FL Studio 7's Soundfont Player, can you hook a fella up? Thanks.

Thought so. Congrats to you. I'll have to get the game when it comes out. -
OC ReMix mentioned in Nintendo Power by Contra 4 developers
Dyne replied to The Unsung Plumber's topic in Announcements
One never knows, maybe he's just keeping it quiet because he doesn't want the attention, or the people who're upset that VGMix3 still isn't up, to stop him from living his real life. Can't really blame him if that's it. Still, that'd be pretty cool if virt was on board doing Contra 4's music. I'm waiting for the day when several of OCR's remixers get music featured in games and mass media, I think that'd totally rock. -
I'm up for another go at it. I just gotta figure out what I'm workin' with this time. Probably Druid, Sorcerer or Assassin.

MEETUP: OCR @ Otakon 2007! - Panel was awesome!
Dyne replied to zircon's topic in General Discussion
No worries there. I'll be taking a lot of pictures at the Meetup and the Panel, and I'm sure Pixietricks is bringing her camera as well. So there's probably going to be a MASSIVE amount of photos. -
MEETUP: OCR @ Otakon 2007! - Panel was awesome!
Dyne replied to zircon's topic in General Discussion
Just another reminder, we're less than a month to Otakon. If you're planning on attending, don't forget to check page 1 of this thread for info. I'm so very excited about Otakon, it's my first one, and it'll be TONS of fun I'm sure! I hope to see you there! -
I've been playing a lot of SotN lately, and I've been thinking that someone might have need to do a remix or two of some music from SotN. Therefore, I have a request for anyone who's adventurous enough to give it a go. I'm requesting the following two tracks, if possible; 1. The Tragic Prince 2. Festival of Servants Unfortunately, I cannot find files just yet, it's taking a bit of time, so if you should need an example of the music, just private message me, and I'll so what I can do. Thanks.

Oh. Em. Gee (OCR featured on Encyclopedia Dramatica)

Okay, so I don't find ED funny, however, both responses to my previous post, now THAT'S hilarious. Nice work. -
Oh. Em. Gee (OCR featured on Encyclopedia Dramatica)
Dyne replied to PassivePretentiousness's topic in General Discussion
That is possibly the worst thing I've EVER seen. I don't care how funny anyone thinks that is. That's pretty insulting to me. In my own opinion that site should have that page removed, or the site should be shut down. I don't care how funny they think it is, it's NOT. ABSOLUTELY NOT! Making fun of people, making fun of OCR, the judges, and the shenanigans of the past. Honestly, let sleeping dogs lie, and get over it already. There's enjoy negativity out there, I don't believe we asked for, or deserve more here. If it was something a bit nicer, maybe even actually joking, I wouldn't be taking the time to write this post. However, the way I see it, it's scathing, ill-humoured BS that I honestly cannot stand for. But whatever. I am but a voice in an ocean of hundreds. -
Happy birthday Zircon, welcome to your 20s. It only gets better from here. Actually, I thought you were like 22 or something. I was WAAAAY OFF.

My friends and I are picking ours up Thursday so that we don't have to get in line Friday morning. Friday afternoon I would assume is going to be a better part of the day if that's when Jose's arrival is. I'm SO psyched for Otakon! It's gonna be awesome! -
Project Proposal: Ladies of the Legend of Zelda
Dyne replied to DarkeSword's topic in General Discussion
I meant to be more specific to the way the music itself for those songs are written. Just to give an idea to everyone what it might sound like depending on the style chosen. Still, anything's possible. -
I'm somewhat surprised myself. I've never seen four-way chess before, and I figure that maybe it might inspire the OCR Chess League to find a way to put that together. Still, you know how long the games would be? By the way, we haven't heard from Jiggles or Meg yet.

Project Proposal: Ladies of the Legend of Zelda
Dyne replied to DarkeSword's topic in General Discussion
You know, I'm a softy for a good love song. I really am. Honestly, I'm rather hopeful some of you with guitar experience would get together with someone who can either program percussion really well, or can actually play drums (like Beatdrop). I'd actually be happy to hear a song in the style of Bon Jovi or some other artist. Just a thought. Edit Actually, if anyone wants any ideas of what I'm starting to think Shariq is looking for, here's a list of some of the top love songs out there Love Song Top List. Have at it. -
You're absolutely correct, the demo owns. I may have to grab the full version at some point. Thanks Suzu, you made my evening.

Congratulations, sir! Very many happy returns!

Not one of you remembered this: pixietricks - Prayer. A very awesome remix, you need to hear it. -

I ROFL'd seeing that. Nice work. But if you're going to do a Tingle track, you should have some vocals...some really twisted vocals. -
ANTIGRAVITY - new album available / new zircon website!
Dyne replied to zircon's topic in Post Your Original Music!
Ownage. That's possibly the best song on the album. I admit, I enjoyed the whole album, but Breathing You In totally stands head and shoulders above the other tracks. Congrats Zircon! -
ANTIGRAVITY - new album available / new zircon website!
Dyne replied to zircon's topic in Post Your Original Music!
Antigravity is such a great album. For those of you out there that might be thinking about getting this album, I'm telling you now, you will NOT, I repeat, NOT, be disappointed. It's got a little bit of everything for everyone. And to date, in my own personal opinion, it's Zircon's best album, hands down. I've enjoyed both Phasma Elementum and Impulse Prime, and now, Antigravity. I'm so very psyched to see what Zircon has in store for us next. So please, support Zircon, grab his album from CDBaby, iTunes, or his store on his web site, Zircon Studios, and be prepared for sonic bliss.
