  1. What IS the songlimit for a remix? I ask ye. Normally, mixes with ridiculously many songs are usually just stuffed with many annoying noises, instruments and bad walkovers. But I became actually impressed by CotMM here. The songs he picked could easily meld into each other at certain spots, and the instrumentation was not so bad with its bass and strings that played the prelude through the mix at many places. This is pure skills, monkeydude.
  2. Aloha! This is as the name says, a jam session, a very good session if I might say. Although it´s supposed to be a place that´s haunted by bees and gorillas that doesn´t like ducks with with tall hats, I´m agreeing with pretzel that this has more of an Hawaiian or at least beach feeling. I don´t really knows what´s playing the lead, but it sure sounds good. Tune in this great work from Gux while you can. Aloha!
  3. Very nice and sweet synth for this one, but I liked the synth that came at 2:36 even more. A very trippy and calm mix, doesn´t happen very much but this song is of the moon, and not much happens there either. This could be the number 3 track to OCRemix Love collection, because it does sounds like a movie where a man and woman just stands and looks inside their eyes for the next hour under the moon. Boring, I know, but alot of feel. Niiiice texxdude.
  4. I haven´t played this game, but that doesn´t mean you can listen anyway, eh? As pretzeldude said himself, this was quite interesting. There aren´t many mixes with vocals, I don´t just connects it with what these lyrics have with the name of this song. It´s a pursuit alright, OH that´s why! The synths very cool but also buzzy or whatever you can call them, the one in the beginning sure sounded alot, but I guess that´s good for the image of a pursuit. Truly different dude.
  5. Where to begin? I can begin with to thank everyone for this awesome concert. Chris, Trevor and Binnie and all the great remixers making this possible, you did some real good music from an old SNES classic, but DKC really do have one of the best gamemusic I know. I practically downloaded every one of them, they were so great with many different styles that makes a good collection of mixes that fits every person. Thank you for the terrific, marvelous and brilliant remixes that really gave my mp3player something to cheer about. Seriously, thank you for a great concert that will be remembered for a long time in our hearts. Nah, that was lame, but it will sure be known for us as one of the greatest events to OCRemix. Thanks dudes!
  6. Protricity actually goes orchestral, ah, thank you. This is stuff that I would listen over agian and again and again and you get the picture... It´s also great that Pro sticks to DKC2 with his remixes, soon there aren´t a track that´s not yet remixed. Anyway, for the mix, tremendously good with a whole buch of instruments, for every song change there are always changes in the instrumentpad. From the majestic philharmonic in the beginning to the quiet and noble harp at 1:38, that later gets company by a trumpet and a foreign stringinstrument. And then the rhytm changes again to the dark and evil K.Krool theme with some real good drums, strings and trombones I presume. The choice of the songs were great, "In a snow-bound land" sounds very beautiful with the harp and piano. Protricity´s greatest orchestral ever, may be that this is his ONLY orchestral but that doesn´t mean that it sucks. FAR from it. Great piece Pro-dude.
  7. I agree to the fullest, the 80´s has made a tremendous comeback using Pro as their tool....or maybe not. WHO KNOWS? With that put aside, this was a real groovy mix from the man himself. He dug up some cool style from the past to make the music today. Ironic eh? Anyway, loved it. Can´t really say much about what you, used, some very good synths, beats and funky drums. This sounds like Michael Jackson, maybe even better!
  8. Diddy has messing around far too long, I believe KKR feels it that way too. This remix just steams! The original was my favorite of the whole game, so now when Pro here made a great mix of it, it´s just marvelous. I am mostly a guy wanting some peace and quiet with some smooth orchestral flowing in my ears, but after a while you needs some action to get something done, Pro has really succeded on that one, this is stuffed with with action, THIS would be a great boss-track. KKR is a fat oversized crocodile with moodchanges, his track should be something that bursts the speakers. The 24th May, Protricity brought that bad guy some justice. Great strings, guitars, synths, drums, beats and all the other stuffie doo-hickie that makes this mix what it deserves to be. You really are the Pro.
  9. Hot-Head Bop, so we finally meet again. A very nice remix. instead of a groovy synth, it´s a electric guitar with a bass. It´s not a SNES-piano, it´s a flute. It´s not a fire sea, it´s ocr. And it´s not Diddy, it´s St Helen sponsored by Peeples. Quite a radical change if you see it that way. Great stuff, dude.
  10. Is this how it would sound if you enhanced the speed on this song twice? It´s very catchy and all that. But I have compared this one to the original, well, it´s not the same synths really I think, but he does a good job making it sounds like it. This is just a speed up version of the org. But I still thinks it good, the org was a much calmer and quiter one that didn´t do that much noise out of itself, Wintermute piffed his style a little a here it is, in a form of a partytrack. What are you waiting for? It´s party!
  11. If the first one was adrenalinepumping, then how´s this? Some of the instruments may sound a little bad, but at some point it doesn´t bother me. It may be that the original is so great that it does not matter. It may be that the guitar is so great together with the cool synths. It can also be that I´m sitting in front of my computer 8:00 a.m and really needs something that wakes me up. Whatever the reason, this is a great remix with cool instruments working together with drums and beats to deliver a joyride of excitement to us. I´m still too tired...
  12. I don´t know what´s the best with this remix. Is it the guitars that totally kicks ass doing solos non-stop during the whole mix, or is it the drums that´s one of the best I´ve ever heard? Decisions, decisions, and.........oh, yeah, decisions. Let´s just say they´re both equal. Another good thing is that this mix almost never do the same thing twice, its always trying new things so that we don´t, no, CANNOT become bored. Those pauses at 1:32 were great dude! Those who likes the arts of Rock´n Roll better download this, it´s a blast. For those who wonders why this mix have a piano intro, this remix is combined with Dhsu´s "Pirate Prelude" in the Kong Concert, so those who want the complete track better go there.
  13. Agent 000 Donkey, we meet again... That´s my opinion where this funky tune would fit perfectly, mmyess. Great remix pretzeldude, some nice funky brasses and a cool spy synth, along with a sub-tropical feel, I like it. It was time for the mönkey to leave his jungle anyway. And what more do we have, ah, a lovely piano at the end with the whole package to finish it off smooth, agent donkey style. Until we meet again...
  14. Dude, that´s the lyrics for DK64, one of the best ever. When we first heard it we tried to learn the text, it´s so awesome. But it doesn´t fade at the end, it gets abruptly turned off by an orangegrenade. Just to make everythin´ clear. Oh, right the remix. It´s very action-filled, monkey-noises and gunfire along with explosions, heavy guitar and a cute synth in the beginning. A little too much action fer me, I like mixes that gets to the point straight ahead, but this was just a DK-track getting stuffed with sound-effects. The guitar and the bass was good, you could clearly hear the melody, but too noisy for me. I´ll give it 5/10.
  15. Oh, dear. My mistake. Terribly sorry. Hey, wait a minute. How did you manage to write in swedish?
  16. You BETTER... I have already mentioned this before, that this track is one of the best DKC songs. Well now this mix is one my favorite mixes, all thanks to GL. I still don´t get that New Age style, this sounds orchestral to me. The essential strings, some very nice drums, one, two, many chimes and other metal-sounds back there(anyway, this is fear FACTORY) and other instruments I can´t really recognize. DUDE, this does sound like a movietrack, some darn good one by the way. A great piece by gray, really a masterpiece with good rhytm and style. How can someone NOT like it? (glaring at Azar)
  17. Jungle stomp, well that clearly needs drums, and it does! May be that the trumpet sounds annoying, but a trumpet is supposed to sound like that I think, and it does get company by his buddy trombone, and later on a jungle flute. Creative if I may say that. By the way, India called, something about "give back our jungle". Do you happen to know anything about it?
  18. I believe Vig has uncovered the dark side of Donkey, I don´t really like it, really. Especially that part "watch out for flying poo". The music was great, stick to that.
  19. Wasn´t alot of fear in this one, more like the trance-drive has been activated and everyones dancin´ around. Fear factory is one of the best tracks in DKC (actually, everyone is good, I´m the one who can´t decide), and bLiNd here was the first one to give us this mix. A whole lotta beats, which was no surprise i guess, they get the mix into the rhytm and the techno synth gets it all starting. And I believe I can hear some factory-sounds in the back, like saws or a blender, hard to say. To make long story a shortie: bLiNd has done it again. Those who hasn´t listened on his "Aerofunknamics" in Kong in Concert, really should do.
  20. Donkey´s stereo has gone haywire! AAAH!! Seriously, I like techno, it gives away different feels, but this was way to funky for my part.
  21. Wow, this song is marvelous. It may start a little slowish, but if you just have patience, you can experience the full glory of this remix. Beautiful cello cooperating with drumbeats, synths and some cool marimba makes this one of the best, adhesive boy really sticked to this one and finished it graetly. And if you liked this, you REALLY have to check out the Kong concert. I cannot set up links, so you just have to go to djpretzel´s review like everybody else. Adhesive boy, until we meet again.
  22. Those strings in the beginning makes this sound like movie material. As many others already has stated, this mix does not have a melody, but sometimes it don not have to. All these beats and that echoing minebell made it onto my playlist, as I said in the beginning (one line up), this sounds like a touching scenario when the heroes/badguys/squirrels observes the situation and it doesn´t look good, or when Indiana Jones must release the children working in...THE MINES. So, this is good material. Relaxing, background, I don´t care, Aetherius did a great job advancing it to the next level, and we all should thank him. Thank you, dude.
  23. Bells and piano? I LOVE bells and piano! A beautiful and calm feel, I just wish the little bell solo was longer, but I got the piano and strings too, so I shouldn´t complain after all. But demi0s really succeded in giving the right place of the mix, an ice cavern with icicles hanging down from the ceiling, walls covered with a thin layer of ice and the floor filled with powder snow. But I didn´t get that christmas feeling this song was based on, personally, I don´t celebrate christmas, I´m one of Jehovah´s witnesses, so luckily it´s not a big deal for me. Great work demi0s!
  24. Yeah, I´m totally agreeing with fake here, great song dude.
  25. How COOL isn´t this! Not only we got a new MM6 remix, we got it directly from Greece! Vurez did a really good job, that greek bagpipe really does sounds brilliant, and the strings, the flute, this is 100 % masterpiece. But for the name, I didn´t really got that ambient feeling Vurez was trying to attempt, instead it feels more like I´m in Greece and just gazing at the great monument over there, but then again, can this really fit in a travel-documentary? I´m not sure. Anyhow, great piece. Thanks to you, we now have an another foreign musicstyle dude, thanks.
