  1. Right now I have an odd triangle-shaped (kinda) sore crust on my wrist. Apparently, I'm Link.
  2. This thread is having me confused. Are we talking first games or first visit to OCR? Cause I'll just answer both. My game history is kind of fuzzy. My family didn't own our own system, but one, maybe two times a year, we would rent one for about 1 week along with any three games we wanted from the store shelves. Those were the golden age of gaming, where we all sat in front of the TV can, encouraging the one who was in control while arguing which one of us who would inherit the hot seat. I can vaguely remember some old NES games we played, such as Ducktales and, I think, Super Mario, but the best period was definitly when the SNES came out on the market. The Lost Viking, Indiana Jones, Aladdin, Donkey Kong and other titles I cannot remember are so crammed with memories that I can't help but smile while playing them now. The N64 contributed with much joy as well, since it introduced us to the sheer goodness that is Legend of Zelda, but other than that, the SNES truly was our system of choice. When we moved into town, we actually came around buying the N64, along with Mariokart, Donkey Kong 64 (great game, I should start playing it again someday) and of course Legend of Zelda. Even though we may not appreciate the luxury of having a game system at home as much as we used to, which makes me sad, it opened up the doors to gaming, since we eventually got a PS1 and PS2 as well, amking me a Sony fanboy with the help of Final Fantasy. I was introduced to this site by my older brother and sister though. I just strolled into our computer room, with them leaned over the computer screen while an outmost peculiar tune filled the air. That was Chillout by SEDUCTiON, the moment I could identify the melody from Wily's fortress, I became completely thrilled and literally begged them to ask where it came from. I later on started to listen to various remixes from MM2, and continued through all the other games I had played. However, I was under the impression that only remixers could join the site, but when I discovered that there was no such thing and that it was open for everybody, I banged my head towards the desk and got hooked to the site immediately. I started out on the remix review boards, but slowly yet securely, I wandered into UnMod and started to become the terrible little twerp I am today. also I am not checking this thing for typos
  3. I didn't really cry when I got to see Aerith getting stabbed by Sephiroth. But then I realized that she was the one equipped with my only Dragon Armlet.
  4. I'll seed as well when the download is complete. Nonetheless, 2.32 GB sure takes time.
  5. Hmmm. It may be dangerously close to the depressive side, but I'm still gonna recommend Danny the Dog, starring Jet Li and Morgan Freeman. It has its funny moments, but it's not a comedy. It is adventurous, but it takes its time to slow at times, but quickly generates the seriousness with quite some good fights. My main surprisement with this movie is that I had never heard of it, even if it had famous actors. I didn't have too much expectations for it, but it pretty much skyrocketed to my top five list since it has bits from all movie genres, plus a good plot and the ability to make you sympatize for the main character. It may be a sad story, might even make you mad at the "villain" in the story, but I never found it to be depressing. May not be what you're looking for, but I definitely recommend it to you. Might be hard to find on the movie shelf though.
  6. Good job boys. And girls. ;] HOT
  7. This time around, I believe it was Bahamut. Apparently he wanted to prove that we had started to forget and forgive about this small mishappening and had already moved on. He is such a funny guy.
  8. That reminds me, I need to watch Ocean's Thirteen. And Shrek 3.
  9. I acknowledge your musical talents. And knowing that other big pimps acknowledge it as well makes my opinion more justified. Congrats Zirc.
  10. How am I supposed to win at this game? THE SPACE BAR DOES NOTHING
  11. Let the ultimate drums rage on for one more year.
  12. Truth to be told, I actually understand why UnMod had to go. It didn't cooperate that well with the rest of the site, doing its own race and basically having its life on its own. The posting style some had the habit of using happened to be expressed in the Gendisc departement as well. The mod apprecation wasn't the best, and I guess we could've have welcomed n00bs in a somewhat smoother manner. Those, however, were the bad aspects of the problem, and as our fuzzy old friend Coop already have mentioned, there were many positive aspects on the other side of the problem as well, but those could only be seen by those who had gotten used to the UnMod manner and who didn't take everything seriously. But yeah, compared to the new, more friendly OCR policy, UnMod sure wouldn't be able to fit in there, and we all knew about it. Honestly, I didn't see much bitterness going on when everyone got to know about the official declarence that UnMod would experience the axe, even if it placed a depressive cloud on top of it all. We posted on as usual, saddened of UnMod's future, but also a little excited that we would experience UnMod's last voyage. We would get the chance to say goodbye for it, in our own special way. If we had gotten a specific thrash date, then we would at least have been mentally prepared, and the remaning hours would most likely have been filled with tremendous amounts of threadmaking, fadding, flaming, joking, and whatever stuff that would come to our minds. It would be one of the greater moments of UnMod's history, most likely because it would be its last. But we all know that's not the way it all happened. Instead, it all disappeared in a giant cloud of pixy dust, and all that remained was an empty shell of its former magnificence. Why? Because one night the staff decided to take out the laptop and remove UnMod from OCR's surface. And take pics of it. Both of the screen and the smiling faces of all of those who wanted nothing more than UnMod out of the way. Seriously. It could have been done in a better way, a way that wouldn't cause as much anger and wrath, but hoo boy, you sure managed to take a turn towards the opposite direction. It all happened in a flash, thus robbing us from our last goodbye towards the forum we loved, a love you didn't know about and, apparently, didn't care about either. I respect this site, same goes for most of the staff, decisions and other actions taken towards the site, but this moment will always be something I will look back at with a disappointed expression in my face. Just wanted to get that big chunk of words off my chest. Thank you.
  13. You have survived yet another lap around the sun. I congratulate you. Keep on making those funky remixes yo
  14. I can only assume that it's from the artbook. I found the pic while browsing /v/, so I can't really say where it's from. Clicky.
  15. Why does this thread always manage to become drawn into page 2? Today, I've sigged a couple of images I've saved in my image folder for just this purpose, I just needed a motivation kick. These two are complete sigs: While these two I only cropped and twinkled a little with the original images: And some backgrounds: http://i7.tinypic.com/5xxcknp.png http://i8.tinypic.com/63k8lqq.png http://i19.tinypic.com/66jy1w6.png Also, I made that card several months ago, right before the UnMod purge. It is one of my better ones imo. :]
  16. I've never been on OLR. Should I?
  17. Forget about Bowser, just clearing those blasted levels was hard enough. Good wishes on your marriage, I can offer a small prayer for you tonight. And yes, I will try SMB3 again, lemme just find it.
  18. Not a clue. It just came to me one day. Unfortunately not, there have been several moments where I've discovered that there are other people chosen to carry this nick, so yeah, my individuality gets a little shaken. Just joined Last.fm today, and apparently, there is a bastard with the same name. Same thing with Bummer and Bumbum. I show up first at Google though.
  19. I've had the idea of using the Babylon Rouges trio as sig material for quite some time now, I just didn't feel like working on it. However, since I had so little to do today, I decided to make this idea into reality and get down to business. These came out as an end result: I personally like the last one the best, since the other two became a little fuzzy. :]
