I like the idea of a quasi-legal document that spells out some of the un-asked questions that I've had about this site for a while. I may or may not ever submit anything here (or I should say, I may or may not ever be accepted here,) but if I ever were to submit something I now have a better idea of what I'd be getting myself into. And thank you for clarifying some of the more intricate details of this agreement. I'm sure there is still plenty of grey area left and other details that could be covered, but I know that I have no authority or experience with this area of music (ie. rights, legalities) so I'll just leave my opinions as stated.

Yeah, Mugen is fun to tinker with. Eazy P hates it, though, haha. I've always wanted to make a custom Juggernaut from "I'm the Juggernaut Bitch!" (complete with voice overs and x-men strikers) but I have no experience with creating my own characters. I just download other creators' characters so, I'm what the Mugen community would call a leach or something along those lines.

Parapa is back! I haven't played this game in ages. I'd love to see a good port of it. link

Happy Birthday! Enjoy yourself!

Way to be a jackass, Evilhead. I just gave my opinion and a reason behind it. But I guess I couldn't expect an actual thoughtful response for my effort. You come off like you have a personal vendeta against fan service. No one forced you to buy the magazine at gun-point, and you're not going to change any fanboy's mind by bitching about the magazine, so chill out.

Jonah, eat your heart out...oh wait, I already did MWAHAHAHAH!!!! Evil Parker wins Fatality! Flawless Victory.

I just realized how much Ifail at puzzle games today. My friend, who I can best in most competitive games, gave me a whooping in Tetris Attack this morning. Then, later today, I started playing tetris attack and failed miserably again. Can't wait to start playing you guys....

spoiler-ish Uhhh, it caused him to slap his fiancee. I'd say thats pretty bad. The whole point of that section was to show that the symbiote caused him to be more aggressive and less meek. That's a pretty radical change for Peter Parker.

Speaking of timing, What kind of judgement do you have your Stepmania set on? I usually play on 5, but I played justice once and I failed like a four footer. It's the stingiest timing window I've ever dealt with.

Well to NP's defense, it was the best place to get strictly Nintendo News. When I was younger I didn't give a shit about Playstation or Xbox and I was happy just to read news about Nintendo without browsing the web or anything. (I didn't know about Gamespot back then BTW) I know it sounds dumb and biased but sometimes having less choice makes you more comfortable. Less clutter anyway.

Here's something cool I just found. Great video by the way, Bigfoot. I like that song, too, so that helps. I was trying to teach my French class how to play DDR en Francais today. It was rough, but I enticed a few people to play. (It was Step Mania w/ my RO pad actually, not DDR, but you get the point.) It made me laugh when people assumed that I must play DDR routinely in order to be at my current skill level (which isn't very exceptional mind you, but I digress.) I had to keep explaining that I simply remember a lot from my intense playing over the past summer and that I have a lot more experience than they do. Anyway, I don't know if I impressed anyone or just made myself look like a nerd, but I felt that I needed to spread the DDR-lovin'.

Someone's been watching too much IFC. Since when did we grow a conscience and actually care that Hollywood is essentially stealing our money in order to make sequel after bad sequel after bad sequel. It's just a fact of life. If you're worried about accidentaly funding an awful movie, then stay away from theaters. But above, you did say you thought it was funny (in that "this movie is amazingly awful" way,) so if that was your reason for watching the movie, then Okie Dokie.

Google is your friend. Shouldn't be too difficult to find a good website for Dreamcast Emulation on there. You'd better have a lot of time on your hands and a big HD, though because I imagine DC games are friggin' huge downloads. I'm emulating my old psx library right now and those games are pretty hefty (in size), in my opinion anyway.

1st. It's about damn time! 2nd. AW HELL YEAH! That means I'm in btw.

If this is sometime in June, then there is a possibility that I will be able to make it, but if it's in May then there's no way.

Cool stuff. It's good that you have braket software. And great job getting second. I got like 8th at my own tourney....Lost first to a really good falcon, then later to a nub ICs. Hideous, I'd have to agree with what you said about making it easier to sweet spot with the air dodge of certain characters. Yoshi and Zelda are at a major disadvantage because of that. I don't know about Luigi being allowed to sweet spot with his foward b, though. It seems fair enough to have one unlimited horizontal recovery (fwd- and one single use upward one (upB) and that is aside form his air dodge and air jump. I'm still not sure about beimg able to grab a ledge backwards. I haven't been reading much at Smashboards lately or anything, but it just seems like a bad idea. Kind of like the Ice Climbers (OOHHH, BURN!)

Nice try, Larry. This is obviously a favorites thread in disguise. But seriously, happy birthday JJT! Happy Mother's day as well

I feel your pain, man. I've hosted a tournament before and it is a lot of work. Congrats on holding your first tournament, though. 28 us a pretty solid number. Did you participate as well? If so, how did you do? Did you have good bracket creation software or did you do yours by hand? I used tourney maker for my competition and it made things much easier. If you'd like it, just pm me or something.

Well, by my standards it looks fine. Those standards being A. it has at least 6 face buttons B. it has an actual joystick (none of those silly thumb sticks) And yours has an actual cord which I envy. You don't have to fiddle with batteries like I do. (A minor gripe, but a relavent one none the less.) More importantly you don't have to worry about lost signal like me. "Haha, game ov....What, oh crap!!" "Do your damn low punch rush, Rog!" My stick has a comfy palm rest though, so ha.

Remember that really bad Street Fighter movie?
Broken replied to Devyn's topic in General Discussion
You have to admit that I was pretty close for pulling that out of my memory, though. Yeah, I'm sorry, but the lines in that movie are classic. I can still remember way too many of them: Quick, change the channel!! -Gief- I bet people like you like to watch yourselves on tv, Bison. -Guile- Bison's hammy psycho-crusher and guile's American flag uppercut still stand out vividly in my memories. And of course, VanDamme is Belgian. He's way too manly to be French. (I stil love you Douli.) -
Doesn't one of the levels have cars that come into the foreground that can hit you? Or is that just a bg movie, too?

one thing you can do to turn around in midair is press up and in the opposite direction you are facing. Then do a neutral b move like mario's fireball and you will turn around in midair. That is a check that the creators put in the game against facing the wrong direction. Also, you mentioned fourside being a difficult level to return to after being knocked between the two buildings on the right side of the stage. I think Falcon can jump off of walls like mario, so you should wall jump as your primary means of returning. Save your up-B if you know you're opponent is waiting for it and just remember that Falcon and Ganon's up-B are easy as crap to read. You have to be very creative to out smart a good edge guarding character with them. If you want to be a jerk to whomever you play against, be Peach. Kill them once on fourside, then jump inbetween the two buildings on the right side of the stage and wall bomb it until the forfiet or time runs out
