  1. Lol, no grabs for him I'm afraid. I would actually love to see someone win completely with B moves once.
  2. So, people who play the exact same way you do. Good for you. If someone can edge gaurd you and you will die every time they do it (because you're too complacent to learn how to avoid/escape it), you believe that that same person can't just beat the shit out of you until you're at some insane percentage and then just use a smash attack? Please, people are just trying to save time.
  3. So, you only enjoy smash when playing a low level computer or people who are worse than you? Good job! And please stop name calling. It makes you sound unintelligent
  4. It got abysmal reviews from Gamespot and X-play if that means anything to you.
  5. Yeah, it's never fun when you're on the recieving end. That's why I use peach! Edit: I personaly think the computer is too stupid to edgegaurd right anyway. Sure, it can pull off stupidly powerful combos if you give it the chance, but edgegaurding correctly requires a little more higher level thinking than the comp. can handle. I love making fun of the computer btw.
  6. There's been a big discussion about the computer getting smarter and learning things as you play more and more on Smashboards. The general consensus is that the computer has always done more advanced things (at lvl 9 especially), but players don't really notice it until after they have learned how to do those moves themeselves. Anyone else get jab-A'd of the stage only to realize they've lost their second jump? I'm glad no human opponent can do that because they would be able to gimp me to death. Well, at least there are still smash attacks -computer kryptonite.
  7. I don't see what kind of positive statement this game could make, especially since you play as the killers. I mean, there are other ways to provoke discussion about the killings. This just seems like another violent videogame to me and an old one at that. I can't comment on any gameplay merits this may have, if any, because I've never played it, but this doesn't seem like the kind of game I'd ever want to play. The forum discussion is thought provoking, as well as the author's notes, however.
  8. This is interesting. Kind of reminds me of Electroplancton, only without the sea theme.
  9. Why is it harder than Guitar Hero? I've never played GF before.
  10. Amen. Even though I hate Falcon simply becayse he always rapes my peach, I know what you mean.
  11. possible spoiler material Did any one else think the Oclemency lessons (excuse the spelling) were well filmed? Those scenes played out exactly how I imagined they would in the book. Of course they were cut short but damn, the book is just long and full of little things like that (Hospital scene anyone? Not that I really miss that scene.) I just can't be angry that they edited a lot of it (I do wish this movie had an extended version where they had a lot more of the scenes that we all felt needed to stay, however.) I do admit that the newspaper transition screens were a little lame, but I think they were apropriate because to me, this book was very largely about the power of the presses over the masses and the movie emphasized that very well. I also agree that the mistletoe was just bad looking. Especially in the room of requirement where some of the best effects occured. Actually, all around, that movie had some of the most riveting special effects sequences that I've seen in a while. And I say that after watching and loving Transformers to death.
  12. Paper Mario is out for vc. Buy it. NOW!
  13. I'm not sure which character you're referring to, Dafydd. Who does she play in the movie? I loved the film -I'm a big fan of the books, so that no doubt taints my judgement- but I can see how some people could see it as a let down. The ending seems a little anti-climactic and all, but I challenge that conclusion with the fact that it only takes around 2:30 of high quality special effects, professionally scored music, and only the most important parts of the narritave to reach said ending. When I originally finished reading Order back when it first came out I felt just as let down by the ending, but I had poured more than a couple of ours into reading through the book by then and I spent 40 dollars (I think) instead of $8.50 to get the same ending. Just my two cents.
  14. How DARE you fix my beautiful post, sir!
  15. The techy/geek part of me freaked out when I saw this. It doesn't seem like it took too much effort to set this up either.
  16. Well, I can't really say that I blame you, Kamoh. I also think summer is just a bad time for emulator tourneys and internet competitions in general. I mean, I'm sure people are busy doing lots of other things during the summer because they have a rare chance to. Fall is when you can find people online for good periods of time. Although it's never easy to get everyone together.
  17. Well they said they're going to set aside a special time for Brawl, so I suppose they want to focus all their attention on a specific day that the game can be spotlighted by itself instead of at E3 where it's 1 of many high profile titles on display.
  18. Finally a release date. I'm done with this website thing now.
  19. I hope that's what it ends up looking like and isn't just concept art or something. That looks all avant-garde and white and such.
  20. I'm 180 lbs..... It's all MSUCLE, though! RAWR!
  21. Wow, that thing is amazing. Years ahead of its time. That kind of reminds me of something that Triforce was telling me a long time ago. That nothing is new. It's all been done before.
  22. unplayable for very competitive players, yes. Everyone else will probably learn to deal.
  23. Crap I only got a 5.1/10 and no one wrote a plot synopsis about me. I'll have to check myself on Wikipedia next.
  24. Steve, may I just say, you have the best last name ever. YOU WIN! (probably heard one a million times before)
