  1. Saw busta's name and jumped all over this. Great work!
  2. Awesome. Exactly what I'm looking for. Didn't realize how short their season is--only 16-20 games or so. Thanks for all the info guys! I'll let you know how it works out.
  3. Telekom. On a side note, how do you guys denote decimals? This 70.000 stuff for thousands is crazy.
  4. I've gotten conflicting reports on it. The article makes it sound like they're scrapping to build their new arena, but apparently a few years back they had a huge fanbase. It doesn't hurt that they're sponsored by "Europe's largest telecommunications company" and that they'll be moving into their new arena this upcoming year. At any rate, even assuming they draw half a house (which would be about 3,000 people) @ an average of 20 euro per ticket = big bucks. Too bad it's not a soccer team.
  5. I enjoyed this a lot, thanks for sharing!
  6. Hey guys, I just got an e-mail from a representative of the "Germany Bundesliga Club, Telekom Baskets Bonn," who want to use my track, "Rising Impact" as their introduction music (see sig). I'm trying to get an idea of how "big" basketball is there (ticket sales, etc) so I can give an accurate price quote. Anyway, I ran a search and found that they are a professional basketball team in Germany, with the "Bundesliga" designation denoting the highest level of pro basketball there. Their website (http://www.telekom-baskets-bonn.de/index_baskets.htm) has a five tier pricing system, with the most expensive ticket being 23 euro (or $37), which is somewhat comparable to NBA prices here in the States. I also found this forum post which seems to help clarify a bit; apparently they're moving into a new arena pretty soon: http://forums.interbasket.net/showthread.php?p=157837#post157837 Can anyone speak to the popularity of b-ball over there (preferably specifically this team), or even have access to ticket sale statistics? I'm going to keep looking for info myself, but some hands-on knowledge would be nice too. Thanks!
  7. C'mon, where is everyone? I'm not quite a definite yet but it's looking like it'll work out. Got a buddy too who might be interested.
  8. It's not SM64 Bowser.
  9. Who wouldn't? Gives the room a certain charm. of gayness
  10. Do a search for the Ultimate Guitar Kit soundfont. It's pretty old now, but it's really quite good.
  11. Awesome. Although it'd be nice to see a mix posted that's a bit older in the que? Seems like this was just submitted about two months ago. Not to take anything away from the track, of course. Loved it since the first preview I heard.
  12. Cool, I'm at Valparaiso University entering my last semester in the fall in the 150 credit hour accounting degree, planning on sitting for my CPA right out of school. That's the plan anyway.
  13. If you're just starting out, silver is a great pickup. However, it's readily noticeable in orchestral-only pieces; it takes a bit of work to get it sounding halfway realistic. The thing I love about it, though, is that it mixes very well in an electro-orchestral style (i.e. with Stormdrum.) Also, I'm pretty sure you can upgrade to gold at a reduced price in the future, although I don't know if this 2 for 1 deal will negate that.
  14. I've had problems in the past with FL not saving my EQUO settings, plus I just find Parametric 2 easier and more intuitive to use. When I do use EQUO--which isn't often--I use it for more dramatic modulation, which Ross alluded to. But yeah, Parametric 2 is probably my most used native FL plugin.
  15. My piano style is similar to kLuTz (sp?), though I'm nowhere near as good as he is. Never taken any sort of lessons, blah blah blah. Most of what I play entails root-fifth-root bass arpeggios and it has to be translatable to that for me to be able to play it well (To Zanarkand, Dire Dire Docks, etc) In short, I'm really not that good at piano, but I can fake it well.
  16. I dunno, I think the Chan thing in general is just kinda ridiculous.
  17. Yep, it applies to this month. Just entered Rising Impact in Electronic too.
  18. Congrats to the winners! Just entered my name into the fray. I've got: "Visions" in Techno/Club/Dance "Rising Impact" in Electronic Appreciate any fans adding me to get this started.
  19. Put some more time into it this afternoon. Changes: - enhanced beat, better mastering, better drumwork - improved transitions (:59 transition is much beefier) - new section at 1:27 and afterward, still in development EDIT: See first post
  20. Yes, the first post here is accurate. Merry-go-Round, Cave Dungeon, and Ending Demo are open.
  21. I heard somewhere that Uematsu stamped this with his seal of approval, right? Also, thanks for leaving me off the list. Apparently my two-part trance mix isn't worth mentioning.
  22. Dang, I really should give this a try. Congrats to the OCR tag-team so far! Hopefully SGX will pop back up there too.
