This mix is great. I was so immersed into Donkey Kong Country as a kid, and I think one of the things that did it was the ambient soundtrack. Fear Factory was such a cool song, not to mention levels. But this mix really does add something else to the song. The song does kind of sound sad but these lyrics really change the way I see the stage. It helps that the vocals are up to par as well. A very good mix of a very cool song.

I like this take. I guess I was expecting more of the piano as the focus, but I love that the guitar is there and just strumming along. I don't have a hard time picking up the source, but I'm used to this song. Good job.

Simple. Find a PS1 and play it on that. Everything else is like reading a book on the computer, it's just not in its element.

It's going to have to be "Mario Paint. Playing it now makes me wonder what I was doing with so much joy back then.

I think this is one of the best mixes up here on OCR. This is one of those songs that you could show to a classical piano player, not tell them the source, and know they would like it. In fact, that's what I love about this site. How songs from games, which don't get the respect they deserve by the bigger world, can become so good and imaginative that they give other music a run for it's money. I love this mix apart from that statement and listen to it whenever I need to relax or think about cruising in my hoover car.

A good song. I was kind of disappointing with GX's soundtrack, in that it moved away from the traditional F-Zero themes. This mix is very cool though, and a great mood song.

I just watched Outlaw Star and Samurai Champloo this summer. I liked them both (Champloo preferred). Right now, I'm watching Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood on Hulu and I'm loving it.

So my friend and I made this video about playing Final Fantasy VII. The thing is, even as long as this video is, we didn't cover half the stuff from the games. Feel free to insult and tease, but after making this, all we wanted to do was play FF7.

I'm retracting a statement I made a week ago. I commented that OCR doesn't have enough diversity but looking at the new releases as of late (a Vectorman remix!?). I now retract what I said and am loving the amount of choices here. Though I still wish certain games or songs got a little more coverage, this place is really doing its job (a Vectorman remix!?).

I agree. Rare always made great soundtracks. Come to think of it, why are there so few Goldeneye remixes?

I have a few questions. 1.Where are all the Starcraft remixes? The game has an amazing soundtrack and nobody has done anything for it. 2.Why are there only two Celes/Opera remixes for Final Fantasy VI? Why hasn't anybody tried doing a vocal remix of this song? Articles and reviews are always saying that this is one of the greatest musical moments in gaming, and we have only two songs? 3. Am I the only who feels like game/song diversity has gotten smaller? I don't know how many Chrono Trigger tracks I can listen to.

See, the problem with my viewing of Spirits Within was that I had just played Final Fantasy VI and was expecting something like that. I really don't know what hypothetical reality I would have to have lived in to enjoy that movie but my idea is that the circumstances were as they were and the movie was as lame as it was. Now give me my Starcraft movie and hurt me some more Hollywood.

I thought it needed more Red XIII and needed Berret to actually do something beside look at his gun/hand with disbelief. Also, I would have loved to see a Ifrit/Shiva fight, but I'm a dork.
