  1. Since everyone is so web-savvy here at OCR, does anyone have a Hubpage? Do you like it? Has it made you any money or is it not worth the trouble? Just wondering. http://hubpages.com/feed/
  2. Does anyone know of a site that works as the video game equivalent to Goodreads. I'm looking for a site to track and list the games I've played in life. Suggestions?
  3. Gush! Glee! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
  4. I only just went through the Voices of the Lifestream album. I don't know why it took me so long. I guess I forgot I had yet to listen to all the songs. Pretty dumb on my part since it's so good. Just thinking out loud. Anyone else realize they took too long to get to an OCR album and find out how good it was?
  5. I like that this mix stays true to the source but really feels like another tune for me. The constant beat and the "Can't Stop" keep this as a really cool song. I get the feeling of just continually falling slowly over high city streets. I like the way the main chorus is used sparingly. Great tune.
  6. Where as Peeples other bond mix is fast moving and funky, this song has a fun, laid back style that you can just sit back and and stealth to. I love the piano, and the light guitar riff. The whole tune has a "cool" vibe that lets you imagine how Bond might be seeing everything as the world goes to hell. An old favorite.
  7. When I first got to OCR, I was only looking for games I recognized and loved. Goldeneye was one of those games and I was disappointed that the site only had two mixes at the time. However, those mixes were good stuff. This one is so much fun. I love the tone it sets in the beginning but then it really starts moving. The ending was always cool to me, just slowly leaving the fight like a real agent.
  8. This was one of the first mixes I stumbled upon. I had played most of the games in this medley and I remember just enjoying the slow progression of this whole mix. With FF VI being the first Final Fantasy I played, the soundtrack always had a special spot for me and I liked how this mix gave both Terra and Celes the time in the spotlight. There's not much for me to say other than this is just a well-done FF medley that has stood the test of time.
  9. I haven't played this game but I love the Castlevania series and this tune stay unique while fitting into what my mind defines as "Castlevania Soundtrack". I like the fun of this one, along with the complexity. It feels like this mix is always moving, always changing. It's such an enjoyable song that it's hard to imagine vampire killing as hard work.
  10. Man Dingo, this is some good stuff. You've turned this tune into one heck of an epic. This is the kind of song to play for the final of "Donkey Kong: The Movie". I just imagine Jumper Man making his way to save the princess with all of his strength as flaming barrels are coming his way. The chorus is great and love the reoccurring motif that brings a dark and ominous vibe to the whole thing. Simple into Star Wars, that's what this feels like. Thanks for posting this one!
  11. I love whenever Protricity does Donkey Kong. This mix has such a cool beat that makes the original seem like a rockin' source. The ending keeps that mellow feel that the whole game kind of had for me as a kid. The whole song really stands out as a great tune from an all around great soundtrack and I love the sound of the drums. Very seductive indeed.
  12. I tend to have a few remixes that I start my listening with, the one song to start hours+ I'll play OC tunes on. This song has taken the role as of last week. I had never heard the source but after listening and falling for this mix, I went in search of it. It's impressive how much you've added to the tune while not straying from the source or tone at all. I get such a lost, searching feeling to this mix and I love the reoccurring string rift. I've never played the game, but this mix does a great job of making me think it might be worth a look.
  13. I organize my OCR collection in my iTunes by setting the album for the game, the remix artist (if there's more than one, I tend to play favorites) and I use the image OCR provides with the game for the album artwork. How do you organize your OC collection?
  14. I just started an account last week (got my fiancee to join too). I've been wanting to play Magic for years but never had the people to play with, so I'm enjoying the online version a lot. Does anyone here play? Wanna give tips?
  15. So, to celebrate Halloween, my girlfriend and our friends and I watch the Hobgoblins episode. Wow, was that movie bad. Even with the jokes it was hard to watch.
  16. So, I'm sitting at my desk, checking OCR for new mixes. I see this new one by BGC and check it out. My roommate is playing a game I haven't seen him play before and it has a neat soundtrack. "What game are you playing?" I ask. "The Binding of Isaac." He answers. I stop and turn back to my laptop and my brain explodes. Thanks for the moment and also an amazing new remix. I love the energy you put into what is a rather mellow source.
  17. Guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuush
  18. So, we decided to watch one none of us have seen (and my girlfriend hasn't seen any of them) and we chose Space Mutiny! Santa being seduced was too much.
  19. I want a freaking jacket. And some boxer shorts. Make me boxer shorts, OCR!
  20. I should state the two I've seen are Mitchell and The Final Sacrafice. Those two were gold.
  21. So, I don't know if anyone here actually watches the show, but I'm slowly getting into it. I want to get my girlfriend to watch it as well so I'm putting together a "best of" list via other lists on the web. 1. Do you like MST3K? 2. Funniest episode? P.S. I'm fine with the subjectivness of it all. I'm just seeing which names pop up the most.
  22. My roommate loves the game and convinced me to download it. Haven't left the training grounds yet... I'm scared, Pa.
  23. Thanks for all the pointers/comments. It's good to get some non-Pro Tools aurguments in, since the professor in my class is in love with the program. I'll be taking what you guys said to heart. Thanks.
