  1. So, I'm taking a Pro Tools class at my school for the year and I was just wondering what the common opinion/advice is around OCR. Have many of you used it?
  2. Yeah. I'm looking for some good OC Remixes with lyrics. I don't know if I've been through them all here.
  3. Can I get some links to songs/artists with lyrics in their songs please?
  4. I have a question. Are we allowed to trim down the remixes to make them shorter, or do the music videos have to be "as-is" for the songs?
  5. I'd like to add something. I just need to choose the song.
  6. Holy crap. This is something cool. One of my favorite things about OCR is that when I'm really having a crappy day, you guys go and post some gold like this. Not much to say other than I love this mix, love the sound and atmosphere. This makes me want take my NES back from my friend and play through that hell-on-earth game. Great job.
  7. I miss AmIEvil, Scott Peeples and Protricity. They were some of the big ones who got me hooked on OCR.
  8. The only one I compare MJ to is Gwen Stacy. Zing.
  9. Can anyone point me to some OCR desktop wallpapers? I know it's probably just the logo or something, but I was wondering if there was anything surprising I couldn't find.
  10. AmIEvil was one of my favorite remixers when I first started coming to OCR and I love the stuff he gave us, I'm just curious what happened to the guy?
  11. I have no clue why I've ignored this album for so long! It has to be because of the format (which Audacity has fixed for me) and that seems like a really dumb reason. This album is all atmosphere and I love it. It's hard to believe this was the first OCR album, the quality is amazing. Just goes to show chronological snobbery is lame. Love this thing!
  12. I really enjoyed the acoustic take on Mega Man with "Coiled Copper Wire" and now "The Quick and the Blue". It's cool, because Mega Man has plenty of electric to spare and these different takes are wicked atmospheric. But, at the same time, I really enjoyed the electric take on "Dolphin Ride" by Monkey Kong. I'm just wondering what people get more excited about, an electric take or an acoustic, and what would you switch up if you could? Right now, I'm all about the acoustic and would love to hear an acoustic take of "One Winged Angel" (if you know of one, please tell me!)
  13. I love these guys if only because they make me become so attached to the plight of the Robot Masters. The last minute of lyrics make this video for me. "I see the faces of my brothers that have fallen before." Man. The acoustic is nice and like Level 99's mix, I like the atmosphere it adds to the main source. A very cool song. I think I'm gonna go play Mega Man 2 now.
  14. This is very cool stuff. I could easily see myself walking into a smoke-filled bar with the man in glasses playing this song on the piano in the corner. I also love the source a bunch and am glad to see it get some love, in a new and creative way.
  15. It was Ocarina of Time, all the way. I was 12 and it was the first time I really noticed how awesome the music was. Goldeneye helped as well.
  16. Pretty cool take of a familiar source. I like the style of this one, chiptune and all that. I've never heard the other sources, so I might be missing the added bonus here. I like the ending, the way the song skips along to the finish line.
  17. Weird. But I love it. I love the main melody. To quote myself, this mix is the cat's pajamas!
  18. Thanks! Any other suggestions, guys?
