Damn man, underground musicians like SGX, Overcoat, Beatdrop and Zircon beat the hell out of main stream music. I can't even listen to mainstream any more, except for a few heavy metal and techno/electronica songs. SGX knows music so *pat on back*

Could you make the attack time for the string a bit faster, or get a more punchy sample? It might make it sound less muddy, other than that I like the other instruments and the melody.

I'll let them do all the critiquing ^^. I have to say that this is definately OC material, in fact it surpasses quite a few of the Final Fantasy remixes IMO, rearrangement wise anyways. I'm new to this stuff, but even I know that this is passable, if not well, it's damned near . Hope you hit pay dirt Gorgonian. Oh and, BTW I like the trumpet sample...I noticed that most remixers tend to avoid brass instruments as if they had suddenly sprouted a million thorns, gives it an authentic feel ^^.

BTW I LOVE your ELLE mix. Can you RE-do another Elle mix and make it into a sad, simphonic with piano like song? OR can you give me your midi data and I can make one myself. I'll put us on collaboration when/if I submit it, since I'd have your midi data ><. Cuz this is 1 of my favorite songs .

Heheh Nice. Did you use the Tremendously flute from Hammersound.net? Anyways =P, this is REALLY sweet, it really brings back the forest feeling and gives it a kick ass groove to boot. I love how u mix the drums in with the orchestral element, and like Monobrow says, at 2:40-ish it chills down real nicely, adds alot to the song. Hope to see this get accepted dude BTW this sounds very much like OC material so I don't see how it won't get accepted.

Cool. To be honest, this is closer to an actual Chrono Trigger song than a lot of other remixes I hear, which kinda stray a little too far from the source material. I think that the starting is fine the way it is IMO.

Maybe really cool processed drums or synthesized electronic ones would work ^^. And this is IMO, but a choir would be awesome too.

heh, I have little interest in playing real instruments, so I'll go for the learning, mooching off of people with skillz and whatnot. I know how to process pianos and drums to make them not dry and cheezy sounding. So I'm sure that I can figure out guitars after cracking at it a couple hundred times lol.

Hardly any experience with real instruments except for piano and the trumpet =/ so I'd better figure out how to get those mediocre sounding guitar samples first before I can process and sequence them...whatever that means. Lol, got lot's to learn still.
