I'm really getting tired of these games here. I flat out don't get listened to on critical things and almost always they're the reason we lose. Why play a team game when people don't have any interest in playing like a team? I'm just tired of being ignored to such an extreme.

I'll give you the 360 controller bit - I think most people overblow the difference in experience. But one thing I do have to question is that why go the bargain laptop route? They're cheap, and far more prone to break and have a myriad of issues than lets say a desktop you build or buy for $800 or so, or even a nice deal laptop like this: http://bfads.net/HP-dv8t-Laptop-w-Quad-Core-i7-Processor-999-HP . There's far less frustration across the board, better specs, more hard drive space, etc., and lasts longer - one can argue you are spending less this way.

You know, I've had that sentiment with some games, including HoN. You do what you can but the team doesn't listen or work together. But Andy, you missed a brutal game of AR just after you left. The other team wanted to quit at around level 7...

So apparently it's possible that ANOTHER project comes out before DKC 2 actually. However, we still aim to release at the time we set for ourselves.

So we had our admin meeting - it was a good talk about the servers and the future and stuff. Look forward to special events in the near future!

Actually I have no clue how many people will be in the room - nobody really firmly committed. I'd really like to keep room costs to a minimum though, and so far I have no guarantee that will happen.

Honestly, as DarkeSword said, Rambo could've just banned him and it would've been just fine - there's no valid defense for that.

Somehow, this source really spawns some nice mixes. One of the charming things about this particular one, like all others of this source it seems, is that it maintains the mystique found in the original even with this interpretation. When it segues into the FF Prelude music, then you are greeted with some nice uplifting music. I don't know if I'm a fan of the song going back to the Sealed Door source though after, as I get the imagery of the door already having been opened and basking in the glory of what was behind it.

It's a shame that this hasn't gotten many comments, Vampire Hunter Dan manages to make solid music. I definitely like this take though. I find it hard to place my finger on why, but perhaps it's because of the semi-dramatic approach it starts off with, and then a more mechanical/playful section, to then further on with a mix of My Home Sweet Home and Dear Friends. Someone with more theory knowledge can probably pinpoint how the song does things nicely, but it has a great flow to it.

If there's to be a meeting, it'd have to be in the first half of the week, as I'm not sure when I'll be stuck grading exams Wednesday on.

We're really shooting for December - working pretty hard at it right now in getting the final stuff together.

Well I could just be talking out of my ass Edit: Taucer's track has changed some - the final version will be much better.

This is a pretty nifty mix - you don't see much rockabilly mixes on OCR. My only complaint as far as I can see is that the transitions kind of suck. Otherwise this is nice.

This really fits what one expects from the source - somber and downtrodden. A solid solo instrumental.

I'm personally not a huge fan of this track - it's an ambient track that is way too short for what it is. At about 2:30 in length, this track just comes and goes.

For staying true to the original, this track fits the bill. It could easily replace the original, and probably would be more interesting to be honest.

I wasn't a huge fan of this track in particular - it just rubs off as filler. I understand the idea of going in the punk direction for this track, as it is supposed to mark the beginning, but it seems too synth driven. In addition, it's woefully straightforward to a fault - I think this is highlighted most by the song ending.
