I can't say I know what the original source is (link it!), but for a mix in this style, I think there could be a little more instrumentation for filling out the sound. The lower end of the frequency spectrum seems to not be represented as well. The strings sound fake and could use a bit of work too. Try developing the arrangement further though!

This WIP has a lot of empty space - it could use some more instrumentation to help fill out the frequencies, such as guitars or other synths. The synth is also way too far forward in the first half compared to the background instrumentation. I can hardly hear the rest of the instruments with the synth so loud relative to them. The overall volume of the song can use some boosting, as it sounds very faint as a whole. The drum kit could use some work - maybe some reverb will help it sound better. The background synth could be replaced by strings to better effect IMO. Alter the velocities of the instruments to humanize the sound as well - no person will perform at perfect intervals when playing an instrument. The song also comes off as mostly a cover to me. The arrangement could use some personalization, some aesthetic that you can call your own. This song could use a lot of work from what I can tell. Perhaps someone else could give some input that I missed on what could use improving & how.

I always hear this in reference to how much of a daunting task it can be to get caught up on ReMixes, and find that to be something I need to do as well, especially since I've been gone for essentially 7 months. I am aware of this gem from the NiGHTS album, but I'm probably unfamiliar with most songs that have come out since then, including albums. Is there any particular songs people care to recommend from the past year or two from OCR they'd like to share their love of? Try not to turn this into a pure list thread, as I'm very aware that we don't allow those .

Hey, So I've kept this on the lowdown for a while, but I'd like to recruit some fresh blood & give people an opportunity to contribute to what is undoubtedly a popular soundtrack. My plan is to divide the OST into four discs with most of the tracks covered, if not all, and with each disc having a theme, as explained below. I won't be seeking approval for a while as per the rules (until I feel comfortable with the state of Lufia 2, which is looking good right now), although I would like to see this posted onto OCR. The goal is to release on August 6, 2013, the 20th anniversary of the game, although I will likely push it back to later in the year to ensure quality. To inquire about the state of tracks for interested claims, you can PM me and *should* get a response, although I can't predict the future. The plan is as follows - I want to encourage unorthodox/creative arrangements in general. I fully support liberal style changes for this album as well, but no silly songs. Before starting on the track, clear with me how you would like to approach it, and of course give me an idea of the quality/direction to expect. Ultimately, I want the album to have an exotic, trippy, and schitzophrenic mood changes in atmosphere throughout. I heard about this from Gario over the past two months - congrats Tony! That's a pretty sweet gig you got there.

We got some great progress happening recently - I'm hoping to wrap this up sometime next year. We've been getting some surprising WIPs in the past month. If Gario doesn't come up with the preview, I will in maybe two weeks with a rough one.

Some of these songs are downright haunting. I think everyone will find this to be an instant favorate, unless you just hate life.

This album is phenomenal - the overall quality is quite unbelievable and it's such a large album at that!

Aw, I get back to the area on the 21st, but I have to repport in to my reserve unit asap from what I understand. I'll make it to some shows sometime soon!
