  1. That claim was actually made a day after the deadline passed
  2. Stop making waves and make more WAVs! that was terrible... ☠
  3. As soon as you either get a WAV in for Mill Fever or show a bit of progress on Waterfall, I'll totally check you out And yes, Mirb! Run like the wind!
  4. Just updated the first post, all artists that are safe for the 75% deadline on December 1st have a ✔ by their name. All others, I will have to start getting on your back a bit more often until you get there, especially if you're still behind the 50% mark that you were supposed to meet two days ago. I hate to be a jerk but I don't see any reason for this to drag out longer than it has to!
  5. Not worried You've got a solid foundation, you're making consistent progress, and you're keeping me updated. That's enough for me.
  6. Sounds like you're using Firefox or some other browser with a Quicktime plugin, all you need to do is right click on the link that normally opens up the song in a new tab and select "Save Link As."
  7. <Emunator> This mix has a s-s-speech imp-p-pediment! Stutter-stutter Untz untz untz woooooOOOoOOooopitchbend! CHIPTUNA! A+++++ would listen again.
  8. Just so I'm sure, this is a song from another dubstep artist and you're just sharing it on the forums, right? In other words, you aren't Rusko, are you? I just want to make that clear for everyone reading this thread, in case there's a misunderstanding.
  9. Whatever happened to the AZ/Mexico part of this meetup? Did that fall by the wayside or is it just a private party now?
  10. I've got a bit of a working sample for the inside inlay that everyone seems to have liked, so in the coming days I'm going to try and spruce it up and see what I can come up with
  11. Wouldn't it have made more sense to have posted that on my wall? :-P

  12. Alright, here we go... If you're going to go with sequenced piano (which is extremely hard to pull off well) you really need to make it sound like it's a live performance. There's very little humanization to your velocity and timing - fiddle around with individual notes to give it a less rigidly-quantized feel. When a piano piece is performed live (at least, one in this style of arrangement) there's going to be a lot of emphasis on using the sustain pedal to create natural transitions between notes and generally helping the piece flow better. This sounds like it was performed on a piano with no sustain pedal and very little sustain on the notes themselves, so it comes across as very mechanical :\ I'm sorry if this is harsh, but I see promise in your arrangement but the humanization just isn't cutting it here. You need to take what you've got here and put some serious work into velocity, timing, and especially sustain lengths on your individual notes if you want this one to get to a point where it's passable by the OCR panel. Past that, No Escape gave some very good advice on reverb and panning that would help augment the decent-but-unimpressive samples that you're working with that I'd highly suggest you take to heart You've got a decent arrangement here and if you're interested in working on it a lot, there's no reason you can't get this one to where it needs to be. Best of luck if you choose to pursue this one further!
  13. So, I've been playing Chrono Trigger for the first time ever, and I finally found out where your name came from :-D I got to the Proto Dome and I was like "awwwww yeeeeeee, I know this guy!" :-D

  14. Has someone been drunkposting on their own wall again? :-P

  15. I love leaving this song queued up on my iPod when I'm in the car so I can blast that opening bass drop and feel uber-crunk in front of all of my friends when they first get in the car. I'm so cool! (and so is this remix :3)
  16. If you've got save files for emulators, there's a built in "Record to AVI" feature on SNES9x Maybe that'll help you.
  17. From the sounds of it, prophetik/the prophet of mephisto has completed one for the Super Mario 64 project that should be out... eventually So you've got that to look forward to as well, it's a remix of the Bob-omb Battlefield theme.
  18. Not really much I can add to what Nutritious or Gario stated, the synth choices just feel generic and thin It's not doing the arrangement justice, but I don't think it'd be impossible to get this up to OCR level if you just did some more experimenting with thicker-sounding synths. Also, I found the ending to be lackluster, as Nutritious did. Something more conclusive, such as a more interesting drum breakdown, would definitely give closure to your solid arrangement. Don't quit on this one now, I think it's got a lot of potential
  19. You still haven't addressed the pervasive problems of your homosexual chord choices
  20. Hey, thanks for being patient, I'm back from vacation and ready to go on this again Your kick drum is pretty thin, which is a bummer. I think a different sample (or a whole new drumkit - the snare is also a bit weak) would do wonders here. There's times where the melodies aren't entirely clear because they become obscured by other elements such as the bass or rhythm guitar, but it's a minor qualm. I like this remix a lot (even moreso because I'm a huge fan of the source and I was waiting for it to get remixed like this) so I'd say try to fix the drums either by finding a better sample or just EQing them to be a bit more powerful, and then submit it. Best of luck dude
  21. Hey, did you get the PM I sent you a while ago? If you could get back to me on that at some point, I'd really appreciate it :-)

  22. MSN, we need you on it now :-P
