  1. Good luck Will As always, hit me up if you need my assistance Otherwise, godspeed!
  2. Proto never puts out for me (this remix is fantastic. For me, in context of the Pokemon album, it's second only to his Canalave mix. So much <2 here!)
  3. Happy birthday bro :-) Keep on making awesome musics!

  4. Right now, I'm just listening on a cheap listening setup so I can't give this a proper mod review, but I wanted to say that, from my perspective, this is sounding really amazing. I don't think it's perfect, but with the samples you're working with, the sound quality you're getting here is fantastic, and the arrangement is REALLY impressive. Of all the songs I've seen on the WIP forums, I don't know if any of them have seen as many updates and as much progress as this one from the first iteration to the last. In short, I'd like to see someone with the capability to do so give this a proper mod review, but I like it a LOT and I think this kind of arrangement would find a great deal of popularity on OCR. Hopefully someone else can chime in here!
  5. Well, not EVERYONE has been slacking. Zircon and Tefnek, who teamed up yet again to bring one of, if not the most hard-hitting mix on the project. It's intense, you all are gonna love it. Nuts and Bolts could not have been picked up by someone more appropriate! But yeah, the mastering is going great, some songs have had a whole new breath of life in them now. As soon as we get all the rest of the missing WAVs, we'll get things rocked out and hopefully be ready for release (on the audio end of things) in a matter of weeks after that Aim for the end of March or sooner, those of you who still aren't done yet!
  6. Wow, yeeaaaahhh... as a diehard Animal Crossing fan, even I'll concede that this source tune is all kinds of WTF. I can't wrap my head around it, so the source connection in the remix is challenging for me comprehend. Thankfully, this mix REALLY works well on its own and is quite enjoyable. When the lower piano notes come in at 1:55, things really get going and the piano work going on over those chords is nothing short of fantastic. Great job on your first solo mix TON, this is definitely one of my favorite pieces off the K.K. Setlist project!
  7. Hah, funny story actually. When Ergosonic claimed Rockface Rumble, he actually dragged me over to his dorm and we played through DKC3 in one night together, haha I'm actually curious how many remixers on board here have played DKC3. I think the number might actually be a minority, but off the top of my head, judging from various conversations I think myself, Cody, Radiowar, Blue Magic, Sole Signal, halc, The Vagrance, Ross, Archangel (maybe?) Mono, anosou, GSlicer, Vampire Hunter Dan, and Peach have all played the game. If memory serves, Theophany and Ergosonic have both played the game AFTER joining the project, which I thought was pretty neat Anyone I missed? Anyone I mistakenly put in the list above? I'm actually rather curious about this!
  8. Yes, every time I listened to the remix I had to change my pants. Now, I've just stopped wearing them while I listen... now everytime I listen to it I have to get my carpets cleaned Seriously though, the mix is really that awesome. It's gonna be a highlight for sure
  9. HEY, here's some good news finally! After quite a long streak of no visible progress, we've gotten a pair of WAVs from Matt Drouin and Prophecy/AkumajoBelmont for Swanky's Sideshow and Cranky's Showdown, respectively. Coincidentally, neither artist has had a posted remix on OCR in over 5 years so these two tracks mark somewhat of a return to the community, musically, for each artist. Lots to be excited for here
  10. Actually, when I pay more attention to the individual backing parts, there's definitely more than 50% source in here. You guys should be fine
  11. Oh my... just... You guys are way too good. Fantastic take on the theme, it does drift away from the source quite a bit so I'm not sure how OCR-suitable it is... I could do a breakdown, but because of how awesome this is, I think you should just take a chance and submit it even if the source usage is borderline. This definitely needs to be heard, it's way too good! Also, Chris, we need to collab sometime
  12. Yeah, bonus songs are not as big of a deal. I'm talking mainly about main album tracks, but thanks for letting me know. I'm aware of that song being on Youtube though so no worries
  13. Wow, this is... really, really awesome. As I write this I'm about halfway through your remix, and it feels really fantastic. The sax is obviously fake but you really made some great efforts to humanize it and give it a lot of character, as you do with all your instruments. I think CyprusX has a valid point that it stays pretty slow throughout, but your melodies have a way of bringing up the energy and bringing the song to more of a climax within each section so that it might not be an issue. I see what you're doing with the percussion but if you feel like this is a valid concern, perhaps it might be worth rewriting the precussion to build up a bit as the song goes along. Other than that? Solid arrangement all-around, as always Your piano sounds fantastic, nice atmospheric elements, a lot of attention paid to getting the most out of your samples... I like this mix a LOT and I think (assuming you used enough source, I can't check right now) this should be a relatively easy pass
  14. Hahaha wait a minute, is that the FL Studio Metronome in the beginning of the song? XD
  15. Ok, things have been sorted out as far as I'm concerned. I feel like I reacted the best I could knowing what I did at the time, but it sounds like it was not an ill-intentioned act, but just a REALLY stupid mistake. So, all's well I guess. But still, DON'T LEAK YOUR TRACKS, ANY OF YOU >
  16. [disregard] As a note to other artists, please do not release your songs ahead of time without my express permission. I'm not opposed to you putting out teasers but do not put out any project material without asking me!!
  17. Yeah BP, I'm really feeling your song too. Was gonna listen over it when I had access to better headphones to provide you with some critiques (if I could come up with it) but it was tight. I'd say it's WAV quality too
  18. Don't get me wrong, there's no lack of activity, it's just mostly WIP updates from people like OA, Monobrow, Zyko, ProtoDome, Prophecy... Dave Wise himself. All these artists (except PROTO ) are getting REALLY close to finishing, so I'm expecting a storm of activity... ...eventually?
  19. I strongly approve of this development
  20. Oh god, I think I'm going to overdose on this track. I've had it on loop for, like, 3 hours now. So good!
  21. Ummm... yeah, no. This project already got a release, and it's got twice the number of songs that your proposed release has. Someone went ahead and tagged the files and put them all in a nice .rar for download anyway. The download link still works fine. http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=25430 What does this version of the project offer, other than a chance for you to throw on a couple of your own songs and get your name onto something that's already been completed, more or less?
  22. This is pretty neat, your drum writing is really good and your mixing is pretty punchy. I'm a little worried that your rhythm guitars are knocking the intensity out of your lead though, which doesn't feel quite like it's cutting through. Try turning your rhythm guitars down a bit and letting your lead guitar take the spotlight a little bit more. In the sections where there's no rhythm guitar playing, your lead sounds really nice so I know it's not a bad recording Overall, I like this quite a bit. Without much more effort I think this could be ready for submission, but the mixing isn't quite there yet.
  23. Aight, I definitely agree with halc on the intro, that drags on a bit too long and doesn't really do enough to capture my attention right off the bat. Thankfully, when this picks up it's a lot more fun. I feel like the clap sound really doesn't fit properly with the rest of the mix. Your kick sound is really thick and beefy though, that's good Helps carry the groove nicely. Fun breakdown with the glitches, though I think that runs a little long. I'd take all your best glitch effects and trim some of the fat from that section. I'll second the notion for more of a payoff at the end, it's lacking in intensity, and I'm not entirely sure why. Maybe it's because the groove only picks up and really goes for a few bars before it goes back to glitching, so it never gains much momentum. Maybe let that section go on for a little longer and work more on beefing up the supporting instrumentation, too. Not a bad start, this is a funky groove with a really good sounding beat, keep going with it!
  24. BITCH get on AIM!
