Dismayed? If the song's not passed the panel in 2 attempts, maybe it's time for something to change? If the song is updated and enhanced to reach a higher quality bar (OCR passability is not really the be-all end-all, but in this case I agree with the judges on their call) I'd call that a victory in my mind and I look forward to hearing what Alex has in mind Also, here's some good news! When we get 10 more finished WAVs (at this rate, I think that'll mean 58 total, out of 62 or 63.) we're going to put out one more massive preview track, bigger than any of the previous ones we've put out. It'll feature a combination of segments from brand new tracks, different clips from tracks we've already shown, and clips from songs that have been updated since the last preview! It's going to be amazing, but we're not going to release it until we get 10 more WAVs from artists who have yet to finish their songs. (No, songs that were done but need mastering don't count ) So, whoever still has unfinished songs, do what you need to to get it done! It will be worth it!

Ok, status report. Things are sort of stagnating... again. I know a few of you are working on your tracks, and a LOT of you are literally just a session of work (at most) away from finishing your songs. It makes me sad that we're lagging so much at this state when we're really SO close to completion in almost every way. Also, after two NO (resubs) Hoboka's decided to rework his track yet again into something that'll hopefully be up to par with the rest of the album. Aside from that, ilp0's gone incommunicado on me so unless I can get in touch with him, his track will probably get cut from the album. Shame, cause it's SUCH A GOOD WIP... full-length even If you're reading this man, please get in touch! Gimme some good news guys! I saw that Permafrost and Chasing Waterfalls were both YES'd by the panel, so congrats to Flex, Drac, and Damon on that. That's a good start, I want to hear more good things like that!

I just finally got around to STOPPING listening to this track. I feel less complete now *turns it back on again*

It's 1:30 now? You never send anything to me! Just like you constantly neglect to send child support for our son I don't want to make a buncha drama now, because we're currently below the line, but YOU NEVER CALL ANYMORE! I'm worried what the world will be like for our son growing up without his fancy-haired mother... How hard is it to just PRETEND that you care about keeping this family together!?!?! ... I miss you... Also, I got a WAV from Monkey Kong and David Wise for Stilt Village GBA, which will be tackled twice on the album This smooth, 80's-inspired jam is serving as something of a credits mix on the album in lieu of a remix of the actual DKC3 GBA credits theme, and the musical quality is certainly worthy of that prestigious album slot It's one of my favorite songs on the project and I hope the rest of you will agree!

This is absolutely fantastic. This is brimming with creativity and never feels like the kind of "stale" orchestral mix that's admittedly turned me off from the genre as a whole lately. The inclusion of some unique instruments as well as some unique passages (the break at 1:55 and then the ridiculous piano section that follows come to mind) really set this apart for me, on top of the fantastic production and samples. Then the choir section hits at 3:50 and it's just superlative. I've got nothing but good things to say about this!! Plus, great choices of source themes here. The genre adaptation is perfect. Jaka's definitely going to be making a name for himself in the community soon, he's got a song on the DK3 project that's gonna blow you all away (albeit in a totally different way from this one ) and I'm sure the same can be said for his contributions to other projects tl;dr: YAAAAAYYYYYY GET THIS REMIX!

Come on man! You've only got 12 unfinished tracks and 6 that you messed up on and need to fix! That's 21 tracks to go, get on it!

Proto never puts out for me (this remix is fantastic. For me, in context of the Pokemon album, it's second only to his Canalave mix. So much <2 here!)

Right now, I'm just listening on a cheap listening setup so I can't give this a proper mod review, but I wanted to say that, from my perspective, this is sounding really amazing. I don't think it's perfect, but with the samples you're working with, the sound quality you're getting here is fantastic, and the arrangement is REALLY impressive. Of all the songs I've seen on the WIP forums, I don't know if any of them have seen as many updates and as much progress as this one from the first iteration to the last. In short, I'd like to see someone with the capability to do so give this a proper mod review, but I like it a LOT and I think this kind of arrangement would find a great deal of popularity on OCR. Hopefully someone else can chime in here!

Well, not EVERYONE has been slacking. Zircon and Tefnek, who teamed up yet again to bring one of, if not the most hard-hitting mix on the project. It's intense, you all are gonna love it. Nuts and Bolts could not have been picked up by someone more appropriate! But yeah, the mastering is going great, some songs have had a whole new breath of life in them now. As soon as we get all the rest of the missing WAVs, we'll get things rocked out and hopefully be ready for release (on the audio end of things) in a matter of weeks after that Aim for the end of March or sooner, those of you who still aren't done yet!

Wow, yeeaaaahhh... as a diehard Animal Crossing fan, even I'll concede that this source tune is all kinds of WTF. I can't wrap my head around it, so the source connection in the remix is challenging for me comprehend. Thankfully, this mix REALLY works well on its own and is quite enjoyable. When the lower piano notes come in at 1:55, things really get going and the piano work going on over those chords is nothing short of fantastic. Great job on your first solo mix TON, this is definitely one of my favorite pieces off the K.K. Setlist project!

Hah, funny story actually. When Ergosonic claimed Rockface Rumble, he actually dragged me over to his dorm and we played through DKC3 in one night together, haha I'm actually curious how many remixers on board here have played DKC3. I think the number might actually be a minority, but off the top of my head, judging from various conversations I think myself, Cody, Radiowar, Blue Magic, Sole Signal, halc, The Vagrance, Ross, Archangel (maybe?) Mono, anosou, GSlicer, Vampire Hunter Dan, and Peach have all played the game. If memory serves, Theophany and Ergosonic have both played the game AFTER joining the project, which I thought was pretty neat Anyone I missed? Anyone I mistakenly put in the list above? I'm actually rather curious about this!

Yes, every time I listened to the remix I had to change my pants. Now, I've just stopped wearing them while I listen... now everytime I listen to it I have to get my carpets cleaned Seriously though, the mix is really that awesome. It's gonna be a highlight for sure

HEY, here's some good news finally! After quite a long streak of no visible progress, we've gotten a pair of WAVs from Matt Drouin and Prophecy/AkumajoBelmont for Swanky's Sideshow and Cranky's Showdown, respectively. Coincidentally, neither artist has had a posted remix on OCR in over 5 years so these two tracks mark somewhat of a return to the community, musically, for each artist. Lots to be excited for here

Actually, when I pay more attention to the individual backing parts, there's definitely more than 50% source in here. You guys should be fine
