Off topic: Are those live guitars? If not, can you tell me how you got them to sound that way? On topic: I'd say that uploading a flash file is the best. That way, you control the compression of the mp3 beforehand and don't rely on Youtube to do it for you.

You mean the extra ending cutscene, right? There were no new endings (as in results you could get from fighting Lavos) in the PSX version. There we go. There was indeed a second Boss Battle tune, but no second Battle 2. I don't know why it's important that those lost tracks come back. They were taken out for a reason. Usually, the battle music switches to indicate different difficulty levels of enemies. Most RPGs have one main battle theme, why would this need two? If the dungeon they put in is indeed Singing Mountain, then I guess it makes sense to include the track. But otherwise, not really.

I'm just tired of seeing music games based around rhythm. As a drummer, I'm pretty damn good at it. Now what if there were a music game which relied on tonality? You had to play, sing, or otherwise produce the harmonically correct pitch or scale dergree, or something.

Heh... when it comes to tech, I do my research very carefully. Macbook Pros have been inching closer and closer to a refresh with the introduction of the Montevina platform. Other leaked evidence has supported this claim. They're also rumored to see significant aesthetic reworkings to bring them in line with iMacs and the Air. In short, its first major design change in over five years. Hopefully, this renovation will be completed before the free iPod deal expires. This is the patience I referred to in my above post. If I were going to buy a February-revised Macbook Pro, I would have done it a while back, as I've mentioned how frustrating working on my PC laptop has become.

So I've done much research into the Nehalem processor, which appears to promise new features out the wazoo. Supposedly this is the biggest jump in such microarchitecture since the Pentium, but I was too young to really know anything about it. TGDaily, Anandtech, and other sites can't heap enough praise on it and warn everyone to wait to update til then. Now, aside from the extra 6-7 months (I imagine) before Nehalem will debut in Macbook Pros, I'm having a hard time deducing whether this will signify radically faster computing. From what I understand, most Macs run pretty fast as they are, and if the 20-50% advantage over Penryn means a program will open in two seconds instead of five, then count me out. I've been patient enough as is and have to bite the bullet somewhere, especially when they're working on Nehalem's successor's successor. Unless anyone can give me an incredibly compelling reason otherwise. Still waitin' on your Mac hatin', BGC.

Probably not going to able to make anything in time for the album . Work + not having a computer that won't effectively run any music programs makes mixing very difficult. However, I would like to make and send him something myself once I get my Mac, which I will do as soon as it's revised (any week now). Please let him know an extra track may show up for him...

To clarify: Yes, I'm sure he knows what they are. I know what they are and I've only completed one Metroid game. However, he may or may not get the reason behind using the term as the album title. "Energy Tank? That's nice." "They called it that because you could use an energy tank to get better." "...oh, I see." vs. "They called it Max Health... because they want me to have maximum health! I get it!" Now, if DS wants to call it something Metroid-specific then he's right, Max Health won't work. But, of course, he didn't mention that when he initially suggested the title. I found a friend who's got FL and some basic skills. Really angling to get a Ridley mix in for this.

Since I'm a story man, I hope that will be good as well. Right now it sounds way too similar to the Aeon Flux movie. And, you know, every distopia.

Good thing I have a wireless mouse. Off-topic topic: I looked at it being 250 px tall. It was damn near impossible to see the sprites very well (since they are the bosses and the highlight of the sig), so I decided to compromise and go halfway between 250 and 320 (original height). Even that is too small for my liking, but let it never be said that Pezman doesn't seriously consider those around him.

I still think Max Health is more direct than Energy Tank. Energy Tank requires an explanation (like DS gave). Max Health does not.
