  1. Most importantly, I want to know what program you used and exactly how you did it.
  2. A forum sounds great. I have another question (in addition to the one above which hasn't been answered yet): The Harmonix games Frequency and Amplitude (its sequel) contain a number of tracks written specifically for the game (full list here and here). Are they fair game for remixes, and if not, why not?
  3. I'm very surprised that people liked the Secret Rings so much. I found it difficult to control him very well shaking the Wiimote up and down.
  4. This is worlds better.
  5. Soc, in case you're one of those people who doesn't check their PMs... check your PMs.
  6. When browsing games that begin with 'T', all game titles which begin with "The" are listed before games which begin with 'Ta.' Not only that, but said games are appearing under two different ordering systems: Both in the 'T' section (which counts "The" as the first word) and in the section determined by the second word (like pretty much every title organization systems). I'm not sure whether this was intentional, but personally I would like to see "The" moved to the end of the title to avoid confusion and duplicate links.
  7. And we have one of our own to thank for putting it all together.
  8. Can we play with said composers if they can't bring enough people to play themselves? If so, the already significant awesomeness levels are going to double.
  9. Remix Title: Unknown Original Song: Chemical Plant Zone (Sonic the Hedgehog 2: Genesis) Sound Quality was questionable... synths were not varied, which was a big minus considering how closely to the original most of it sounded. If the instruments were indeed played live, it was not done to great effect: it's as if the musicians were attempting to emulate the sequenced feel of the original, and it ironically did not sound played by humans at all. The solo section, the only part of the piece notably distinct from the original, was very short lived. I would mix every part louder in order to give it more kick, and really try to rock out with the piece rather than keeping it so tame. NO
  10. GPU processing is on the way in, brought about by the whole multicore trend that was brought back. I'm sure, in the not too distant future, there will be few programs which don't rely at least partially on GPUs. That said, this is a great start.
  11. The Clone Wars Genndy Tartowsky (sp) cartoon fucking pwned. I'm just frustrated becaused it seems like Lucas just can't seem to let Star Wars go (as seen in Indiana Jones 4). I read the children's summation of the plot, and it seems okay. I'm sure I'll see it at some point.
  12. Less Crawler, moar Twisted Metal.
  13. You're healthy and a year older. What more could someone ask for?
  14. Anything for Mac?
  15. Who is making the game, how are they making it, and what is it going to be about?
  16. I had this idea as well. OLR, here we come.
  17. Is it possible to include lesser known bosses and boss themes? I want to use this opportunity to bring in music from games that would never get into albums otherwise. I haven't met a boss theme I haven't at least somewhat enjoyed, so if I can get my mixing skills up to par in time I am so in. Examples of boss themes I might want to remix include: Crash Bandicoot Warped: N Gin
  18. Listening to your performance gave me the inklings of an idea. Maybe I'll be able to work on it once I get settled with my Macbook Pro.
  19. Sounds like I dodged a serious bullet there. Seriously, Matt Herms (current illustrator for the comic) was downstairs selling his art. I chatted him up for fifteen minutes.
  20. I would love to see this redone as a larger project full of boss themes, from well-known and lesser known games alike.
  21. I had seen the video last night, since Jose was my roommate. Believe it or not, the video was even better for me since I knew what was coming.
  22. It's not from a video game, but I imagine most of us are comic nerds as well. How about this:
  23. Look at me and Dave in our respective photos.
  24. So maybe someone can tell me a bit about this album apart from what I've found on Wikipedia, Allmusic and this. I know it from the popular Newgrounds video Ignorance is Bliss, but I haven't heard the other songs. Did Crosby, Stills & Nash actually write a song related to Nintendo? Did the Dire Straits? Has anyone else heard this, and is it any good?
  25. You may want to combine this initiative with something else that was going on. Can't remember the links, but it was a more realistic rendition of the characters and enemies. I know that's not what you had in mind, but a significant amount of work has already been done on it, and you could combine your story with what they've already got.
