  1. Both sides, and I honestly barely notice its a little warm. A contributing factor could be that I have it in an open area where it can easily breathe.
  2. Mine hardly gets hot, even with Wiiconnect 24 on. Maybe its just some people that have that problem, because as far as I know, mine's fine.
  3. One of my fears has been realized. Samus not a being seperate character from Zero Suit Samus. The whole changing mid-mathcn thing is stupid if you ask me. However, its not the end of the world either. Their are some upsides to it. First its unique, I don't think any other character will have something like this happen to them. Second maybe Samus's Final Smash is so powerful, this was the only way to balance it out. Final, and most importantly, it adds a big element of strategy to Samus. You can play it safe and play as Samus the whole match or risk it by doing the final smash, getting everyone you possibly can and just finish the match as ZS samus. All-in-all cool update. I got to admit though, the Zero Laser looks awsome. Even more awsome than it was in the trailer.
  4. I'm actually loving the virtual console right now. Playing those classic games are great. Right though, I am just waiting for Metroid and Super Metroid to come out. I could play those games forever.
  5. Same here. I'd rather buy a 20GB model off ebay for $299.99. If it did have an emotion engine though, I would certianly make an effort to buy it.
  6. I am guessing you probably have not played many games for the wii. Either that or you consider non-standard controller positions gimmicky. Wii Sports, in my opinion, is still the most immersive game as far as motion controllers are considered. Wii Play and Wario Ware also have some very immersive motion controls. I hate to bring up "future" games agian but Metroid Prime 3 and Mario Galaxy look they are going to be excellent show cases of wii controls as well. Sixaxis tilt is pretty well done, but I have yet to try a game that really utilizes it very well. It does have a lot of potential though. Hopefully more games will utilize it much more.
  7. Sometimes it seems like I am the only one excited about this generation. There are a ton of games I can't wait to play on both PS3 and Wii many coming out this year. Sure some aren't all that new, but that doesn't mean they'll be bad or not fun. But it's understandable why many wouldn't see much in these consoles, especially when there are so many great games avialable for the last gen systems.
  8. Man this news sucks. I was really hoping I could get a new 60GB model in Novemeber. Looks like I am just going to have to buy an old 20GB model off ebay or something.
  9. Some stores don't let you reserve a game until a actual release date is given by the company. So some of us weren't luckly enough to reserve that way back.
  10. That was uncalled for man. I am sick of your shit. I haven't said anything about you for close to a month now and all you do is continue to hold on to this. Just shut the hell up already. I can't even afford a PS3 for your information. About the whole PS2 thing, there is more than just a "few" classics on that system ok. I mostly just want a PS3 with the emotion chip just for convenience. Just so I won't have to be carrying around 2 systems, or have two systems hooked up at once. Convenience! I will probably and up getting a PS3 anyway but I simply would just prefer one with an emotion chip. Is that so wrong. Shit, people just can't seem to have their opinions respected around here.
  11. Same here. Hopefully today. Dec. 3 might be a little far off but at least we now have a concrete release date.
  12. If you had read what I said earlier you would know why I care that the PS3 has the emotion engine. Excuse me for playing a lot of great games that didn't sell millions and millions of copies. Also Sony has already stated they weren't focusing on updating the backwards compatible list because they wanted to focus on new games. Also PS2 has one of the best libaries of games out right now and it most definately has games that are much better than anything the PS3 has out right now.
  13. Does this mean that the 60 GB models still have the emotion engine and may possibly continue to have it? I never planed on getting the 80GB one anyway so I really hope the 60 GB models still have that backwards compatibility.
  14. Actually, the SNES came in first place overall (Thanks to continued support similar to what sony did with psone and is doing with PS2) and the Dreamcast actually came in last place last gen. So Nintendo actually hasn't been ever been last place. Also the Gamecube is actually considered a pretty big sucess for Nintendo because they made a lot profit of it, more than the Xbox, and a little less than the PS2. Sony might be the first company to come in first 3 years straight if they keep this stuff up. 499.99 for a Blu-ray player that doubles as a console isn't bad at all. This news of an 80GB system is also pretty interesting considering they are bundling a game with the console, and considering sony once mocked MS for releasing the elite claiming they "cheating out their loyal fanbase by releasing a superior system so long after launch".
  15. You can definately get the job done using pretty much anything, I'm not trying to argue that point, your friend is right. However, I am just trying to get the point across that it does help. Those cards do free up a lot of ram and offer things like texture and shader renderings that can help out the finished product. On older systems, doing stuff like that could take a little more work and little more time to complete, but it is still very possible. In fact the same goes for gaming. You can get good games to run good off older or lower end systems. Believe me, for at least 4 years, I got games like Unreal 2004, Doom 3, Warcraft 3, Age of Mythology, and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic to run off an Nvidia Geforce MX4000 and 512 system RAM. For me, these games ran and looked great but where still weren't that great compared to what higher end systems could do. It all just depends on what you want out of your games, 3d applications, and etc. If you want higher performance, even if they work fine now, you should upgrade your card. By the way, that sounds like an excellent deal. Hopefully it will last till the holiday season.
  16. Man another really nice looking stage. The bridge breaking and resurfacing idea is pretty cool. However, I would have to agree that some of the more hardcore tournament players might get upset with the direction these stages are taking. A lot of friends back at school never liked playing at any other stages other than poke stadium, final destination, and Hyrule Temple. I personally love playing at Brinstar and Mutecity and it would piss them of when I picked those places. However, I am also sure there will be more neutral stages to be revealed. Battlefield already looks like a nice neutral stage.
  17. Its not required that have something powerful but it certianly helps out a lot. Maya works much better on high-end video card than it does on a low end or intergrated one. Plus intergrated cards rob your system of ram, which is often very much needing when running programs even as simple as photoshop.
  18. Thanks man. Thats all I needed to hear
  19. It has nothing to do with art style. I am actually a fan of manga and anime and the art style they present. The reason why I don't have much high hopes is because licensed games usually aren't that great and as I mentioned before, I am not a huge fan of some of the 2d fighters based on manga out right now. I'll keep faith but I am also not going to keep my hopes up.
  20. Can't anyone answer or try to answer my question? Please?
  21. Oh crap, I didn't think Giga Bowser would be returning and not only is he returning but he also looks bigger and scarier. Damn, whatever you do don't let Bowser get the smash orb (unless your playing as Bowser of-course).
  22. I have never used c-sticking the whole time I have played the game (or at least not since the first time I tried it out). To me it isn't very useful because I can pull off a smash attack just as fast manually and you can't charge c-stick smashes. I think charged smashes can come in handy very often.
  23. I guess it won't be horrible but I just never really liked licensed games and the fighters you mentioned I never really enjoyed playing but hopefully capcom can bounce back and make quality 2d fighter that looks pretty decent as well.
  24. Damn that sucks. I was really hoping it would at least be something new, but a Manga 2d fighter. If this manga crap turns out to be true, this game is probably going to suck. I am losing more and more faith in capcom everyday. EDIT: I don't think you could really consider the framerate in SSFII T smooth but thats just my opinion.
  25. I personally think Bowser looks awsome. I thought it was going tough for them to top his melee look but I think they did a great job. I also agree that the last sentence in the update seems to be a good indicator that they are working on the balancing issues of the game.
