They have a write-up that your not supposed to stream it, that'll be why it's cuttiong out, just download it.

So can we not listen to it anymore? Not a single link in this topic works...

Haha, nice intro it makes me happy listening to it, nice and simple, but it sounds really good, not enough music makers make things simple enough nice panning job at this point. Very nice simple mix, but it sounds very good. Doesn't really pick up much, doesn't really slow down, just kind of keeps going, but it's very peaceful. I could definitely let this put me to sleep (that's a complement). It kind of sounds as though it should finish at 4:30, but the actual endiing is fine too. Not much for me to say really, sorry for not being much of a help.

Do A Barrel Roll! (corneria mix)
Zephyr replied to PrototypeRaptor's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
I really love the ambience in the beginning part when that synth is playing the intro melody (00:14). Nice drum beat during the part after that it's really got the style of the song, (00:45) but it should probably be toned down a little, it's overpowering the melody a bit. (1:45) I like the gating here, nice job. (3:00) Nice creepy part here. Piano was perfect here. Overall this is a great mix, I really like the style, and you kept it moving too. Very nice job, I enjoyed listening to this. -
That would be such a stupidly huge project I don't think anyone would attempt it. You'd have much better luck choosing two games (or songs) to have re-mixed, also it helps with the feel of the music if they know what the game is like that you're making. And I'm not so sure if putting a game re-mix into a game is entirely legal. Maybe someone could do an original for you in the style you want.

Put up a list of some things that annoy you the most or that should be added in future versions, I'd say one thing that FL could use is being able to set loop points on the playlist an patterns. How about you?

So what are we talking about as for price to value here? I'm a total Noob by the way, but only to remixing, I''ve been playing piano for several years. I'm not going to get an axiom just because it has trigger pads y'know, and on a side note, the 900 has trigger pads aswell.

Allright, I'm in the final run for getting my midi keyboard. I've looked around, gone shopping, saved money, etc. Now I just need a few final tips and recommendations. Here are some keyboards I've dug up: 1: Roland Edirol PCR-800 $349 2: Roland Edirol PCR-M80 $229 3: M-Audio Axiom 61 $299 I'm pretty much fine with anyone of these keyboards, (although it could be a little tricky to get an Axiom up here in Canada, American prices btw) Any specific features that are worth the upgrade? Any recommendations or opinions are welcome, help me out here! Thanks.

Sounds pretty good, the start after the intro is a little blaring, you should try to give it a slight fade in, like an envelope or something. I like it when the solo comes in, but you need to do something with the drums there, as well as add a little variation throughout the song (in the drums).

Twilight Princess: Midna's Desperate Hour WIP
Zephyr replied to Kholdstare's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Sounds great to me, give it an ending and I'd say it's done. -
I found options>properties>, but the only thing to do with recording is a check box, when I check it, I can't see a way to start recording.

Hey everyone, I've been trying to find a way to record what I hear coming out of my computer direct-feed, but have had not luck for the past while, I eventually stumbled across this: http://www.fridgesoft.de/harddiskogg.php It looks like it can do what I want, but after downloading it and toying around, I can't get any sound out of the files I record, If I mess with the settings like crazy I can get a slight touch of the song if I turn my speakers to full, but it's still really faint. Anyone know how to get this hooked up right? Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Zephyr replied to CapnHulk's topic in General Discussion
Thanks, glad I could help. Any other requests? -
Super Paper Mario - "The Ultimate Show" (Final Boss)
Zephyr replied to Kagato's topic in ReMix Requests
I'd say this is pretty much already a re-mix. -
Uh.... could you rephrase that?
-
Thanks so much, and ya, the other 2 are under a minute, but how does that effect whether you can rip them or not? Oh well thanks for the one anyways. Can anyone else do the other two perhaps?

Hey everyone, can anyone out there help me capture some music that I can play but not download? I need the 3 songs at this link: http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/music/index.html If you click play on them you can hear it but there's no way to download it. Can someone capture them and upload them so I can save them? Thanks in advance, a seperate file for each please!

Reccomend me a music theory book/CD/whatever
Zephyr replied to Geoffrey Taucer's topic in Music Composition & Production
I'm going through RCM (royal conservatory of music) in piano and I'm learning a ton of stuff from the theory courses. Maybe you could find a teacher and go through those courses. Those courses are worth something too, (if you take the exam...) -
I'm glad they're only usable once a fight too, plus smash balls are an item so they can be turned off too, that's a good thing.

It Depends on what you're planning to do, there are definitely certain things that certain programs excel at. I love finale note pad, personally. But if I were to write anything, I'd go with FL and a midi keyboard. Sadly though, I don't think there's any way to get sheet music out of fl studio.

Does audacity work? All I want to do is capture some music that plays in a media player, say for example there's a song used in a youtube video that I want, could I record it? That's just and example, could audacity do it? Or is there any other way to do it? I checked my volume settings, but couldn't find what jmr was talking about.

Great update, I think you cleaned it up pretty nice, I definitely like the first transition better, I think now there are overall too many times in the song with fade outs and fade-ins. I like the song a lot though. However I'd recommend taking out the double-time part, this song is a nice pretty slow song, seems really out of place to tack that on there. I'd recommend submitting it and asking for lots of constructive criticism, don't expect to get the song on the first time you submit it, run in past djp see what he says then spend a while working with that. Oh, and listen to your music box part through again, at 2:22 and 2:35 and 2:48 there's a bad note in there.

Finally bagged me a controller
Zephyr replied to Wolfgeist's topic in Music Composition & Production
I'm at the same point as you, I've been looking around for a good controller and the Axiom 61 seems to be the winner. I'm gonna go to a keyboard store pretty soon and see if I like the action on a semi-weighted keyboard and if I do I'll be ordering one in. -
Hey guys, I'm just wondering, is there any free software out there for download that will allow me to record all the sounds that are coming through my speakers, I want to capture some sound that I don't think I can download. Any software like that or similar to that? Thanks.

There's also the fact that nothing has been changed at all when it comes to the melody and sequencing. "BE CREATIVE!" screams the behemoth.
