Definitely got Esther's Dreams vibes as well, maybe because this track sounds a lot like how ilomilo's soundtrack originally sounds. Good stuff! Enjoying the percussion in particular, it's a very effective 'bed' for the song. I didn't have an issue with the ending, I thought it winds down nicely.
I was curious about the FAT32 filesystem reference in the title, and it looks like floppy discs are an item in the Digimon world? That's a fun reference.

Very cool vibe. I got a kick out of the way the source was laid on top of 4/4 rhythm between the introduction of the source and transitioning to the 3/4 rhythm. The final climax also was very well constructed.

Submitted! 12 entries so far, not bad!

Cool! Do you have any chiptunes I could listen to?
I don't really have any straight-up chiptunes under my belt (unless I've done some long ago and forgot about it..)
I have this small game project soundtrack which is quite chippy:

..and a couple of chip-influenced tracks here on OCR:

@StarZander This sounds like a cool project! I could see myself contributing a track or two. I haven't made GB music before, but I'm familiar with trackers (I use Renoise tracker for all of my tracks here on OCR), and began working on module tunes (.xm format) back in the 90s. I should be able to follow the GB limitations, although I have no direct proof. In fact, this "convert mods using certain specifications" approach sounds like a nice and easy way for me to get into making Game Boy music, interesting to hear GB Studio having this approach!

Mmm, this is my kind of stuff. Moody and groovy!

I still have my WIP and I'd love to finish it some beautiful day.

Here's my bonus entry! I managed to have some fun with the samples.

Also I'll bring up this acknowledgement by djp in the writeup of that latest (Pyscho Pinball) arrangement:
QuotePRC & other compos provide unique challenges/circumstances and tend to result in mixes we would never have seen, otherwise[.]
..which I feel like fits really well in OCR way of treating VGM rearrangement.

PRC has certainly been an important compo for me!

Radiowar's ReMixes are definitely something I always check out. His ear for texture and atmosphere results in moods that speak to me. This mix is a wonderful slow-burner, with a beat that propels forward through a contemplative musical soundscape. This very comforting kind of music for me!

Tight dnb action for sure. Reminds me how much I like this kind of stuff, especially when it's this good! Inspiring!

The Konami funk is strong in this one!
Our 4-yo gave this the awesome dance approval. Wish I had it on video.
Nice touch of ominousness in the outro!

Very cool! Some _very_ nice comments about the soundtrack in the Steam reviews!

An enjoyable ride! Cool to see Shadow of the Beast return to OCR and it's always great to see microcomputers on the front page.

Next episode's playlist theme is: Serious Time!
Music that makes you stressed, feel urgency, etc!
I'm looking forward to different interpretations to that theme.
That said I really wanted to bring some more attention to this episode's playlist, as it is The Wishlist indeed. These are all excellent VGM pieces that aren't on OCR yet, and there's at least one person who would like to hear a good quality interpretation of them! If you're an arranger looking for inspiration, here's a good chance to make somebody happy!
Alternately, if you know of a good rearrangement of these pieces somewhere else, please, do share!
From Mohawk and Headphone Jack, Coysehaiys ~ Track 1
BGM 1, from Racing Hero
From Ristar, “Greedy Game”
Prarie, from Devilish
From MegaRace, “NewSan”
From Death Rally, Hi-Speed
From Sonic Battle, Emerald Beach
Title Theme, from StarTropics
From Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future, Aquamarine Bay
From Omikron: The Nomad Soul, main menu music
From Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations: The Fragrance of Dark Coffee
Terran Theme 1, from StarCraft
From Banjo Kazooie: Rusty Bucket Bay
Do leave a note if you start creating something or can point to a good arrangement of these - I'd love to do a follow-up segment.

Gotta admit.. I more than love the bass intro here! What a crunchy sound and what a greasy groove. Excellent work on the interpretation front - transformative but recognizable in an amazingly fun way!

Very good interview there! Fun and informative. Worth checking out for anyone!
