Rogue Galaxy and Final Fantasy VIII. Rogue Galaxy was pretty fun for a little while, and I loved the graphics. However, the major selling point for this game is apparently the insane amount of different weapons, and weapon synthesis (with the added bonus of neverending grinding to even be able to fuse the weapons) was more like a chore. Combine this with the fact that I apparently just got one of the strongest weapons in the game (checking lists online shows that you can't even get close to it through regular weapon synthesis) before I'm even halfway through the game, and you've got a heavy loss of interest.

Welcome new judges Fishy and Another Soundscape!

Congratulations, guys! Too bad geographic proximity won't give my mediocre work any kind of advantage -
I bought the game a couple of months ago as well, and although I absolutely love the way the game looks, the game quickly started gathering dust. I just couldn't "feel" the story.

Is there a way to apply an equalizer on a midi/VSTi track in Cubase? I guess exporting a mixdown of the track and then adding the EQ to that is one solution, but is there another way?

Indeed, some FFXI remixes would be great. There is one remix of the San d'Oria music waiting for judgement from the panel, after what I've seen. I'd do some tracks myself if I'd been an OCR-quality mixer ..on a sidenote, there was music in Promyvion?

Uwe Boll = intelligent yet still sucktacular filmmaker?

I didn't feel like spending time watching the interview, so I just browsed quickly through the comments on Kotaku. Is he really saying that his movies would be better if he got more funds? -
Twice the irony! I'm in the exact same position! In fact, I don't have any cameras at all. I've planned getting myself a cheap DSLR, but other things keep taking priority.

I work at a hi-fi store, and although I haven't gotten around to test all the high-end projectors, the ones I have tested out aren't all that great. As people have already said, you need a completely dark room to get the best out of it, and still the image looks more washed out than a proper LCD. As a private person, I'd never buy a projector

Chrono Trigger 'Battle Fatigue'
Skummel Maske replied to Nekofrog's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Something sounds like it stumbled at 3:08, but otherwise everything's great IMO. -
I guess you should check out Sixto Sounds, SnappleMan, Fishy.. Who else did rawk/metal tracks?

OCR00233 - Final Fantasy VII "Neoteric Assembly"
Skummel Maske replied to m68030's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
An interesting piece, in some strange way it reminds me of Röyksopp. Although upbeat and "fun", it still maintains the sort of mystical feeling you get from the original. -
Chrono Trigger 'Battle Fatigue'

Really nice so far. This track has great remixing potential, and a pretty cool bassline. It does halt a bit at 1:20, as you said, though I don't have any suggestions for what to do. Just keep up the good work, and make it an awesome remix! -
Oh, that's great! I've been misinformed then

I so loved the FF6 Opera piece!

Unfortunately, I don't think so. I believe exporting the bookmarks from the client is the only way to do it.

I'd never really heard about Twitter before that PA strip. Is the status updates thingy all there is to it?

Ah, the beta is finally available now? I ought to look up some gameplay videos. I looked at the one low-quality japanese gameplay clip earlier this week, and the game did look a bit stiff and slow there.

The bitcrushed drums had a great effect here, and of course the guitars rocked. Are you gonna make a full track out of this?

I love DoD, and I'm thinking of trying an entry there myself next month. DoD fuels my addiction to guitar-driven music!

A gamer with an opinion about today's stunted game market:
Skummel Maske replied to JCvgluvr's topic in General Discussion
Thing is, alot of devs seem to go down the "brown = realism" path these days. Alot of games look bland and uninspired because of it, IMO. -
WoW - The Ghosts of Nintendo are haunting Karazhan!
Skummel Maske replied to Uboichi2's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
What a coincidence, I did a Karazhan run with game music enabled for the first time a couple of days ago, and thought the music had great remixing potential! I can really picture your track as a proper background track for a castle-type dungeon. I'll be keeping a close eye on this -
The Black Mages III - Darkness and Starlight
Skummel Maske replied to Animae's topic in General Discussion
I've listened to most of the album. I was pretty excited after having listened to the previews, but the album really was a let-down. Some of the tracks were alright, but nothing worth tossing money at. I tried listening to their "epic" track based on the FF6 Opera Scene, but I couldn't stand the vocals for more than half a minute or so. -
Your Biggest Mistake As An Musician
Skummel Maske replied to TheSnowStorm's topic in General Discussion
Not taking up the guitar lessons I was offered when I was a kid. Could've started playing when I was 8, instead I started when I was about 16. At least I'm getting the hang of it. -

The concept sounds fascinating, I'm checking it out right now. Listing all my old games will require a bit of work though.. -
