  1. I really want to claim Eiko's Theme. Don't put me down as official, but I am starting to work on something. As someone who has a lot of little sisters, the theme and (after a bit of research, since I've never played the game) its character kinda hit a soft spot for me.
  2. A very merry Christmas to y'all, too! I've been blessed to spend the last few days with various parts of my excellent extended family, and there's more to come. Got a four-figure sum of money in cash (enough to fix my car, holy cow!), some much-needed articles of clothing, and some delicious snacks...and the day's not even over yet.
  3. Awww what? Siamey has new musicks? AWESOME! I still listen to your "Going Away" album on a regular basis.
  4. As a huge lover of trance, and as someone who's been pretty heavily influenced by Ferry Corsten and his various ventures, this song is easily one of my very favorites off the album. This song is one of the few I've ever heard from OCR (along with perhaps a couple of bLiNd mixes) that I can say would fit right into a DJ set without anyone even questioning that it belonged. As a DJ, that's very neat to me. As a diehard fan of VGM remixes, that makes me almost giddy. If a world-famous name like Tiesto can remix the Pirates of the Caribbean, why can't we get artists with a similar pedigree to remix VGM tracks? Now we DO have someone with a rock-solid track record in the club industry giving the gift of excellent trance music to OCR. Well done, Mr. Saint-Jules, and thank you G-T for helping us get this masterpiece on here!
  5. I dunno man, between Concrete Heart and this compo's stuff we did vocally, we might well have plenty for a solid EP. Who knows?
  6. Despite the source, I managed to come up with something that's guaranteed to knock your socks off. I finished it last night, because that's how I roll. Be afraid of the Concrete Men once again! BE VERY AFRAID!
  7. I've had this particular song in my collection for quite a while, and while I'd agree that it's perhaps not in the same league as, say, "A Ring and a Promise," it's still a darn good deep trance track. As a trance track goes, you really can't ask for much more. The song stays very true to the production values (super-clean, and that kick drum is perfectly prominent) and arrangement sensibilities of trance, and I'm an admitted trance-maniac. Two thumbs up from me on this number!
  8. Yeah, not gonna argue with you there. Priority Nemesis was the first track I did for the Wild ARMs project, and (as I recall) I finished it around the same time I did Keep Your Nightmares. KYN is a bit darker, soundscape-wise, but PN is more polished, I'd like to think. You're going to hear a lot of straight-line, Pendulum-esque DnB from me on OCR going forward (with some tracks on DKC3 and other projects), so I hope you like that stuff! :)

  9. Actually, since I do have a .zip of all the MP3 files already, I could host that somewhere real quick and at least give everyone access to the music. Is that kosher?
  10. Yeah, seems to be pretty badly seeded right now. No idea why, since I've usually had great luck with previous OCR torrents. (Client: Tixati 1.61, if anyone's curious.) Thankfully, I have many friends on the project staff who hooked me up ahead of time.
  11. Shush, you'll give the secrets of ReMixing away to the commoners.
  12. And it looks darn good, too! Hype level: OVER 9000!
  13. Part of this contest for us artists is being able to make a song that grabs you NOW. If that's what influenced your early votes, then the artists did it right. Songs that "grow on you" (and I've found a few myself which were quite enjoyable) are great, but I don't really think they're the purpose of this contest. Don't worry too much--there's nothing at stake besides bragging rights in this game.
  14. Yuck. This week's theme is decidedly uninspiring. Not bashing Darke for choosing it, just surprised that a Mega Man game would have such a crappy song. Time to bring out my turd-polishing equipment! Yes, that means I'm mixing for the Concrete Men this week.
  15. Jason's been showing me his WIPs all week. Y'all better be scared, since there's some seriously cool stuff coming from Mr. Covenant.
  16. @SuperiorX: Yeah, I plan to revisit it and hopefully sub it, once I get it all filled out and re-polished.
  17. I know, right? What kind of idiot would do vocals in a video game remix? The nerve.
  18. Heh. I'd be happy to teach you a few things, if possible, just hit me up on MSN or AIM (details on my profile). Helping OCRers with production techniques seems to be my destined path these days, haha. I like helping. Also, yeah, the autotuning (actually, it was a combination of Melodyne Uno and NewTone) was blatantly obvious on purpose. I'm not a terribly good singer, but I sound passable as long as I tune the snot out of my voice. Been doing that a lot lately, trying to make a vocal-driven EP.
  19. You're almost speaking as if Jade owes such a thing to you.
  20. What can I say, man, perks of going in and getting my grubby hands all over every single track (whether mastering or simply doing gapless playback).
