  1. As someone who has listened to the original song hundreds of times, that was the most uncomfortable 2 minutes of the year. I don't like it one bit. I will be picking this up for sure, huge fan of the Lunar games (for playstation anyway, never played any of the others). Hopefully the voice acting is cool; that comment about Nall a few posts up is a bit unnerving...
  2. 3 days! As for IRC, I am thinking that #ocrmv would be the best, so then we don't have a clash of convos. There was also talk of using synchtube to view the youtube videos. I originally thought that would work, but if we have 20+ viewers I wonder if it will be as feasible. I'll look into it.
  3. I wish you both a most excellent birthday! woohoo!
  4. Excellent Larry! I'll definitely inform you of whats happening on this front.
  5. Trance and Metal is not that big of a leap for me man, I dig both. I honestly haven't heard tons of chiptunes yet, but I have a buddy I hang out with who has some equipment to make that sort of thing happen :)

I am probably going to be down in Edmonton for Hammerfall and Powerglove on the 21st of this month, @ the Starlite Room. Give me a heads up if you happen to be going, It would be cool to say hi to someone else on this forum IRL for once.

  6. Fragapalooza is Western Canada's largest LAN party, usually happens in or around Edmonton sometime in the summer. I was grasping at a possible connection, lol. Do you make it out to lots of Concerts down there?

  7. Torzelan, tell me you were at Wacken when you picked up that WOA flag. What year was that?!
  8. I thought this game had some great music, I'm grabbing that zip file now, looking forward to listening!
  9. My brother came by and I ended up hanging out with him at the expense of finishing up one of my tracks, so I hope all these songs are better than the ones I had been working on Thanks again for doing this Bahamut, even if I didn't get it done in the end!
  10. Definitely going to use this analogy in the future
  11. It's over, and it was awesome! Huge thanks to LAOS, diotrans, ProjectSpam, BrandonS, and Chernabogue for getting some unique and entertaining entries together for this event. Each video brought something different, and they all went very well with the music. #ocrmv was much fuller than I expected; thanks to everyone who joined in and made the first OCR Music Video Challenge a lot of fun and a big success! I especially want to recognize Less Ashamed of Self for investing a lot of time and effort in creating a really classy music video! Dang bro! Here is the youtube playlist: OverClocked ReMix Community Music Video Challenge 1 Due to the positive interest, there will very likely be a second Music Video Challenge sometime this summer, so look for it!
  12. I'll be making a community thread tomorrow. I'm looking forward to this everyone, I had a hugely busy week just come to a close, and with the Olympic action coming to an end tomorrow I will have the time I need to finish editing. ...and LAOS I want to eat your sig.
  13. Congrats Joachim, I would be lying if I said I wasn't pretty dang jealous right now! I made the Bronze list out of "literally hundreds" of entries, so I won't complain too much. Nice work Sega, and thanks Larry and the judges for makin' it happen.
  14. Let me clarify. I had that STM-1 for a short while while helping buddy sell it. Finally a guy bought it for a pretty darn low price. I should have swapped the pickups in that Iceman and my old Cort guitar before selling the Iceman to some guy who was just buying it as a present. It went cheap enough it wouldn't have mattered. I am still a bit urked about it.
  15. I sold an Ibanez STM-1 for a friend this winter at a really good price cause he needed the cash. I totally should have swapped out the pickups, it didn't even occur to me. I'm still kicking myself, as I have two guitars that could use an upgrade in that department. I play my Avatar the most these days, I think the pickups are good, but I liked the Dmarzios in the STM1 better.
  16. ... ..... .......too late..... Hmmm. Well I will have to see once I actually pick it up from my buddy who picked it up for me. It will be an upgrade from my RP250 for now. And I could sell it for more than I paid for it here without too much trouble if that turns out to be the case. Thanks for the heads up LuIzA.
  17. That would be hilarious in the suckiest possible sort of way. If that doesn't happen, then perhaps OCR 02000 = rickroll. eeeeeh? maaaaaybe?
  18. Well I tried the M13, rented it for a week, and unfortunately due to some bad academic planning, I didn't get as much time as I wanted with it, only managed about 4 hours. I liked it, but not a ton actually. While some of the effects were cool, I didn't have a good amp sim to put it through for tone. I am sure if I had more time I would have had a more favorable view of it. Anyway, I am 99% sure I am getting a Pod X3 Live simply because I found one in pristine condition for 350 (instead of 550~600) through a classified add. I have played with a friends XT Live and heard him play through it, I like what I am hearing, not to mention the many downloadable tones and settings that are out there. I'll update once I actually pick it up and have tried it out a bit
  19. Some more classics... And for you Micro Machines folks...
  20. I cannot recommend Half Minute Hero highly enough
  21. Tomorrow is my last chance to get the footage needed for my original idea. I hope the weather holds up... if not, then I gotta invent plan B or make some sort of plan AB mashup. AB. ab. ... ...I need to work out.
  22. Ummmm. Utada Hikaru. Shes okay. I guess.
  23. mgough85, I just picked up a KP3 from a local classified site (for 250 bucks!) and though I have only played with it a bit, I am loving the potential. It'll be a great toy to have around; I took great pleasure in playing some heavily distorted riffs through it's first granulator preset. It was wicked
  24. +1 TOTALLY AWESOME. It reminds me of waking up at 6am at my buddies house to play FF7,FF8,or FFT! OKAY!!! Oh YEAH! Harry the Handsome Executive! EVNova and my favorite, MAELSTROM!!! (Two Nothings is Nothing!) What amazing memories! I guess I should add some of my own... I can't deny that I like this one... As for Mac Classics... I was a fan of these logos long before Master Chief was around.
