  1. A very different take on shadow's theme. The gurgling at the start really helped to set the mood the mood for me. Love when the guitar came into this, the sound on it what great for this track, it had a mean bite to it which was a great contrast to the lightness of the synths. Another kickass track from DannyB!
  2. ... This does have beat slices up the wazoo. That amount of effect in this nearly staggering. Danny really went above and beyond with this one, especially with the synths. I love how it suddenly went quiet with the choir and piano and then, BOOM! Right back into it The "Klaatu Verada Nicto" caught me off guard as they just popped out of nowhere. They don't quite part of the track for some reason, they're just....... well, there. But it doesn't subtract from the fact that this mix is ten kinds of awesome!
  3. Hard to believe such a soulful song come from Earthworm Jim 2 of all places. To honest I thought I wouldn't like this at first, but I was pleasantly surprised by both Danny's voice and Zyko's rap. Danny's voice was superb. Some of zyko's line a little sloppy at first, but still excellent none the less. Vig's solo at the end really tied this all together. All in all, a top notch collab from three great ReMixers.
  4. Ohhh, that guitar is naaaaasty This takes the source tune and enhances it so much, giving that grittiness yet flair that the Turks exude (Well, Reno anyways). Would've like a little more guitar, but still love this mix all the same. Great work from DannyB.
  5. This is making me think of Reno and Rude chasing after some scumbag It's an atmospheric piece to be sure, but a little plain. As it is, though, definitely a great track
  6. ... This makes me want to make me want to get up and do a happy dance Not familiar with the source unfortunately, but that's semantics. This is bright, peppy, summer-ry and most of all, fun! Especially that little drum breakdown. Awesome work Will! *precedes to happy dance*
  7. Love the laid-back, chill vibe I'm getting from this. Makes me wanna kick back my heels and just relax Excellent work from the both of you.
  8. O_O Holy... This mix is straight up badass. This doesn't just kick the freakin' door, it blows it off with a friggen rocket launcher. The evil-laugh at the end was overplayed, but who cares? It's the perfect way to end it. Props for putting in the little tune when Kirby looses a life.
  9. This is an great track, very funky too. The brass samples aren't exactly up to snuff, but it doesn't take away from the mix at all. Wah-guitar solo? Love it. Great debut track from the Dr.
  10. I didn't catch the source tune a first, been a while since I've played Symphonia. This is very light, fun, and quirky. Not something I would listen to on the regular, but it's still definitely worth a grab.
  11. It's almost hard to believe this is Nutritious' seventh mix for the year, but he's still going strong as evident by this track. The strings really accentuate both the tense moods and soft sections, and the transition between the two sources was seamless and fluid. It's a shame these sources aren't covered more (Serpent Trench needs more love), but it's good to that they've been done proper justice here. Another solid track from Nutritious, and definately worth a listen.
  12. At first, I thought this was a Metroid track. While the soundscape is minimal, the mood that's been created really adds that feeling of isolation and can really be terrifying, the 'broken intercom' drills this home even further. A wonderfully ambient track, and takes the original track and makes it even more amazing.
  13. I haven't listened to a lot of Graylightning's stuff, but I'm big fan of what I've heard do far. This is by far one of my favorite tracks from him. I love how he's taken what would've been an industrial track and taken to a much more mystical, oriental place and still able to keep the dark, oppressive and mechanical feel of the original track. Overall, a great track from gray.
  14. Another 'Aquatic Ambiance' mix that I love. Good to see the still has that laid back quality that made the original so great. The lead guitar at the start was a little dry and sharp (hurt my ears slightly) but I eventually got used to it. The mix kicks up another gear at around 3:22 when guitars come crashing in with all their glory, and the following solo just make want to shred it out in a thunderstorm (Sounds a little wierd, I know, but it really does). The piano at the end is the icing on the cake. This is just as good as Vigilante's version, if not better. Rock on Monkey Kong. Rock on. \m/
  15. One my favorite tracks from my favorite games given rawk justice. The drums at the start sold it for me. The arrangement was kicking and the production is top notch. I'll admit I've even played this while I fought King K. Rool in DKC, it's just that good. Glory to the Snappleman! \m/
  16. This song is very mellow and relaxing, perfect for when you want to sit back, kick up your feet and just chill out.
  17. I love this song, I just fucking love it. I love not just because it rawk, not because it's Final Fantasy, and not because it's shred-tastic, but because of the fact it's combines them all... AND RIPS YOUR HEAD OFF DUE TO IT'S AWESOMENESS AND BEATS YOU WITH IT!!! *Cough* Ahem, getting to what I was originally saying, it rocks hard, it just bloody rocks... good. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to scoop up the remains of my brains of the floor. \m/
  18. I don't usually listen to Dn'B (seeing as I'm not that huge of a fan), but hell I'd be lying if I didn't say that this is one of the best mixes of Magus's theme I've heard! The synth right from the start was low and gritty almost as if it was growling, you could just tell it was going somewhere good, and it did. It's good to see that a mix that usually made into a rock/orchestra track taken into such a kickass, unique direction.
  19. Classic Sixto, I love it. Come to think of it, this was the first Sixto track I downloaded as well. \m/ (Whoo! Useless nostalgia!) This has the usual Sixto level of production, which to say: high-level as always. Good to see that the organ was heavily co-ordinated with this piece along with the guitar. That being said, both solos made to rock out. A little to the original track in terms of arrangement, but who cares? It's Sixto, and it's awesome. \m/
  20. This was one of - if not - the first Goat mixes I downloaded, and it still rocks today. Drums felt a little boxed for me, but after listening to it over and over, it's another part of this awesome track. Chugs are dark and meaty, and they suit this track to a tee. Keep on rocking Goat!
  21. Wasn't to sure what to think of this mix at first, but as the mix went on I began to like. Some of the samples are a little rough and i would've like to hear the guitar a little more clearly. But this is Goat, pound out CV metal and that ain't not bad with me.
