  1. It's sad that MAGFest is over, and even sadder that I wasn't able to attend it... It really would've been awesome to have met everyone... Therefore, I am making it my mission to go to MAGFest 9. Come hell or high water, I'll do my best to get enough money so I can get my broke ass on a plane to America and party it up with you guys next year. The saving starts now. So hopefully, I'll see you all next year!
  2. Been 2010 for near day down under. Regardless. Happy New Year everybody!!!
  3. A merry belated Christmas to all from Australia. Happy holidays everybody.
  4. Wow, there are a lot people from OCR gettin' married nowadays. Not that that's a bad thing of course. Congrats to you and your lady Tweek! ^_-
  5. Well, that's a start at least. Now if they could do something about Left 4 Dead 2...
  6. Just do what I do mate, blame Michael Atkinson (The South Australian Attorney General). That man is the most vocal (if not, only) in opposition to the R18+ rating in Australia. ... The bloody douche (Shakes fist)
  7. (Driving pickaxe into stones) Hit my 100th review, boss (Wipes brow of sweat) workin' on the next hundred, boss...
  8. Very slow and deliberate, I like it. The mix of spaghetti western (I never quite got that term, strangely) mixed with the hip-hop beats really makes this mix shine out.
  9. Very depressing mix this one, and this truly conveys the sorrows that war can bring. I found the voice in samples in this to be very strategically used, (of course, I'm trying to judge the mix alone. If I put my personal feelings into this, then I hope the is bastard is still burning in hell for his atrocities against humanity.) and the piano and strings really helped to give the feeling of almost overwhelming depression. Very emotive, and a definite download.
  10. The mix is definitely funky as it is weird, but hey, I like it. Some parts of this are definitely off-kilter (but then, that's deliberate on Mazedude's part) and the track as a whole is pretty solid. The little musical strut at the end was pretty good to. Definitely worth a listen.
  11. This starts off a little to slow for my liking, but once the drums kicked in, it started to catch my attention. The vocals really didn't hit it with me either, but the sections afterward were fantastic. This mix more or less has me on the fence. Not bad by any means, but not really that great either. Sorry 'Dude.
  12. The textures on this are great, but this mix really scream out scary to me, I was expecting something along the lines of Minotaur Nightmares, but it's still a great mix nonetheless.
  13. Very fun and tight mix. This mix remains very fun and upbeat throughout the song, which is always a plus, and the details just make it all the more delicious. A shelltacular mix from the 'Dude
  14. That snare is pretty good and really gives the feel of a 'deathmarch', but the choir and the repetitiveness of this kinda kills it for me. The cut-off at the end didn't really help either. Sorry, but this doesn't do it for me, I'm afraid.
  15. This is just plain up weird... and yet, it all blends together. Very crazy, very eccentric, and most definitely Mazedude.
  16. Wow, this is almost like two different mixes in one! This is some top notch funky stuff from Mazedude. I love how the first part is dark and mysterious (albeit a little on the experimental side), and then quickly switches up into something more lighthearted. The saxophone I love, the way it fades and echoes makes it almost ethereal, more or less floating over the piece from above. The percussion was very tight, and the strings really fill in the rest of the soundscape that makes this track great. A definite must download.
  17. Ah Sagat's theme, one of my favorite Street Fighter themes. I have both versions of this (This one, and the one from SSF2THDR), and I have say I enjoy this a lot more, mainly due to the lead synths, the one used in this version has a much softer, warmer tone to it, while the one one SSF2THDR is a little more piercing on the ol' ears. Regardless, this is still an awesome track to listen to.
  18. Another surprisingly laid back track from the 'Dude. I found this to be a rather enjoyable piece, very laid back and soothing. The combination of beat and percussion/mallet really helps to create a very lush, rich atmosphere along with the main synth and background choir. Nice Work, 'Dude.
  19. Sorry, but I'm not a big fan of this track. It's got the usual, slick level of Mazedude, production, but for some reason, I'm really not feeling this track. I see what everyone says about the track ending, the repetition really didn't help either. While this has a lot of flaws, I can still appreciate the work the went into the track. Not a great track, but not a terrible one either.
  20. A very laid back piece from a game I've yet to play... I need to start expanding my horizons a little bit... The tempo of this is something I like, along with the seamless blend of organic and synthetic sounds. The soundscape that has been created is fantastic. Another great track from the 'Dude.
  21. This is very, very trippy. Me likey I can see why people are calling this 'Industrial Jazz', and I gotta say I'm liking what I'm hearing. The middle section I love in particular, where the trumpet and sax almost seem to be dueling it out and it gets even better and more packed towards the end. A highly fun and energetic piece by Mazedude.
  22. Ow...... this mix hurts my ears. Not in a bad way though 'Tis a rather interesting mix to say the least, the mix of Bulgarian bagpipes and German march make for something of a rousing piece. The ending was pretty funny too.
  23. Never played Psychonaughts unfortunately, but I still love this track. The tracks needs a couple of listens to get used to and understand everything that's going on (plus all the little hidden motifs), but aftereards, you realise how awesome of a track it is. This is dark, twisted, nightmarish every other demonic related word I can think of. Great work by Mazedude.
