  2. Hey Dave. This is the first time I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird (http://www.mozilla.org/) to write a submission email. This is a remix of X's theme from Megaman X4. I don't think X gets enough credit or coverage as his partner Zero; maybe it's something about the long blond hair? Whatever. X is cooler. This remix is inspired by McVaffe's awesome Street Fighter III remix, Makoto Jungle Jazz (one of my faves). I sliced up a drumloop, added some strings, rhodes, and a cool glassy lead to make a jazzy, laidback-yet-upbeat take on the theme. It's called 'The Father of All,' in reference to the fact that X is the template for nearly all of the reploids. Anyway it's available here: Enjoy. __ Shariq Ansari http://www.darkesword.com/
  3. Contakt Info: Remixname/Artist name is: Little Boy Peter Real name is: Frans Peter Bull Enger E-mail adress: cappapie@hotmail.com My website: http://foolish.digitalinc.info/~peter/ I havn-t registered myeself at the forum Remix Info: The remix-song is from the game: Chrono Cross Name of the song: Melody Of The Shore Comment: Well, it's about 2years since i made this song. dont ask me why is has taken so damn long time to submit the song on this site. but, anyway, no it is here and i hope you enjoy listening to it. The song is what i call very melodic trance i i am very happy and proud of the final result. the original song is one of the most beautiful melodies ever made, and i thought maybe it fitted into a trance suite. if it did is up to you! please comment my song, negative or positive!
  4. Email sub file FINALF~1.MP3 Remixer Name: Tepid Real Name: Philip Schwan, but let's just say Phil E-mail: davidmschwan@aol.com or phswan@hotmail.com UserID: vergo890 Game Remixed: Final Fantasy VIII Song Remixed: Fisherman's Horizon Comments: This started as a messaround with the Fisherman's Horizon melody. I know in the real song (a beautiful song indeed) there a lot of chord changes and a lot of jazzy chords. I tried to picture the song as an acoustic ballad and then decided later to make it a rock ballad aswell. I used some pretty strangly voiced chords to base the melody around, so it would still retain the relaxed feel and wouldn't be too awkward to play. So I'm very pleased with the results, I think it's the best song I've yet recorded on Cakewalks Home Studio 2002. I've played all of the instruments live aside from the drums (sequenced on FL3.5 demo ) and the strings, from my PSR-240 (cheap stuff). Instead of playing the guitar into a mike from my amp, I tried playing it straight into my computer with a nice reverb sound, and I think it sounds better than my previous attempts to record live guitar. The song took one full day to record. The drums took another full day to sequence (I gotta get me a better program for those) and it took me a couple hours to polish the song off. Once I get going with a song I can't stop, this has been pointed out by my mother who says: 'If you spent as much time studying as you did recording, you'd be in Harvard!' Meh, only nerds go to Harvard...*turns on PS2 for another 8hr sesson of Final Fantasy until eyeballs begin to bleed*
  5. Hi, ive got another submissal for you all. Dont know if you guys will post it because its heavily remixed and you guys prefer a lot of the original material, but anyway. Original: Final Fantasy 7: Golden Saucer Theme This is a breaky D&B mix of this bouncy tune, very heavy synths and beatwork. as i said a lot has been done to the tune but i think overall the track holds to the original quite well. Its quite a frenzied tune too, alot of swicthes in there for fun Hope you like it even if you dont post it.
  6. Contact Info Remixer Name - Dj Riott Real Name - David Marriott Email address - david_dude_22@hotmail.com My website - http://www.acidplanet.com/dj_riott User ID - 9677 ReMix Info Name of Game Remixed - River City Ransom Individual Song - RCR Main Theme Original Soundtrack - http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/nes/rcr-main.mid I was not originally familiar with this game at all, until 'Brine' contacted me and requested I remix the main theme. River City Ransom has been given a small amount of coverage, with none of it to its 'Main Theme'. For the fans of RCR, this theme is what they know and love. It is a very catchy tune, but almost not suiting for the game... That is why I decided to go with a 'Street Thrash' style, to better represent what the game was about. (Beating up random dudes I guess). The theme was originally in 6/8, so I decided to see what I could do, by transposing it into 4/4. When doing this, I realized I could add my own style and rhythm to the theme, and it turned out surprisingly well. The original track is pretty lengthy, so it wasn't hard to find source material to cover. I picked and chose what parts of the theme to orchestrate in, and I tried my best to run them together yet still have my own style. The 'Main Theme' of RCR has 7 segments (not including the chorus), and I have chosen to use 5 of these segments, and, to use 'Segment One' as the new chorus. --- The genre of my piece definitely changes throughout, but I feel it is for the best, and it really engages the listener. I relied on searing synths, warped EQ, and distortions to give me the feel I wanted, which includes the spots of dirtiness and resonance here and there. Without further adieu, I give you, 'River City Revolution' (sorry for the angelfire)
  7. Hello, I am new to the art of remixing, but I've been working diligently on this take of the Weapons Load Out Theme on Gradius III (SNES). Here's the link and some info on it. CONTACT INFO Who=Reasoner Artist Name = Reasoner Real Name = Ryan Stevens Email = rms2q@mtsu.edu REMIX INFO Game = Gradius III (SNES) Indv remixed song = "Invitation" Add Info = The composers were Kazuki Muraoka, Kazuhiko Uehara, Harumi Ueko, and Yukie Morimoto. The game was released for the Super Nintendo in 1992. I'm not sure, but I believe this game is not yet featured on your site. Comments = I've always loved the music in this game, and when I hooked up my friends old SNES and started playing it, I knew I had to do my own remix of it. It's such an epic sound and style that it just makes you feel like you're about to set out on something great. I wanted to give the theme a heavenly, yet driving feel to it. Hopefully you guys will enjoy as much as I have writing it. Thanks for consideration Please contact me if any of the links do not work. I really appreciate this. Sincerely, R. Stevens

  12. Email sub file kh.mp3 name: Chrispy email: chrispysaid@yahoo.com url: http://www.todayofdays.com/ please disregard the last email I sent. this is an updated version of the song. I was listening to it, and realized it was rather lackluster, so I improved upon it by adding a trance-esque section to it, with a more persistant beat and a steadier kick. again, I apologize for any information that may be missing, this was all I could do, but I do hope you will at least listen. it would be an honor if you did, even if it didn't make it on the site. thanks so much __________________________________

The Sonic series games were probably some of the very best in written music for the console at the time. Making the coolest tunes and setting the mood with such basic hardware takes a lot of talent, and these Programmers and Composers often go un-noticed, and with these remixes I pay tribute to them. This Remix was made using Acid 5, Reason 2.0 and my Yamaha CS6R module. I hope you all like it " I've done my best to make this tune out to the standards that you're requesting, I really hope you end up putting it on. 16. CONTACT INFO: ReMixer name: Rexy Real name: Bev Wooff Email: bev.wooff@gmail.com OCRemix user ID: 7528 REMIX INFO: Remix title: "Sixty Feet Under" Game covered: Zelda 3 (Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past) Individual song covered: Light World Dungeon --- Okay fokes, this submission's a long time coming. Frankly I didn't intend much on sending this to the panel, but I think GrayLightning has convinced me long enough. So anyway, here's to my take on the Light World Dungeon theme from Zelda 3. I ended up falling in love with the theme when I first checked it out via Neskvartetten's "Ganon's Temple", and it was through getting to know the original that I could do with creating a more melodic focus in comparison to the source material. This isn't necessarily jazz (in fact, it can be seen as some crazy ambient chill-like piece or something, complete with various haunted sound effects), but I feel that I've done as much as I've done to create a rather unique piece at hand. It's there that I've been more complex with the channel processing than in previous works given the emphasis with the Sony Foundary Vegas software dominance, which I think has been shown with the general gestures of the sounds here. Whichever happens, I appreciate the feedback granted through. As it stands I feel content with how this came around, and I hope you feel the same too. I'll be back soon with another MP3 to stand trial! Peace out, -Rexy-

  18. Hiya! I know it's been awhile since I've released anything, and this one isn't exactly landmark or anything (although I am cooking up some serious sweetness), but it's fun. Silly. Wacky. Zany. Very trackery. Game: Earthbound Remixer: Mazedude Title: "Battling Organs" System: SNES Original Composer: Keiichi Suzuki Original Game Theme: Battle 1 I took a weird, dissonant, short and funky original... and made this. 19. Original Game: Starfox Remix URL: Original URL: Remix Name: Sergeant Zim's Starfox Squadron Howdy, it's TO. This is a remix of Sector X from Starfox. Was my entry in PRCv2-11 as well, however I've worked on this more since then. Basically what I've done is taken the remixable material from the midi to develop my own song for one of my favourite movie characters of all time, Sergeant Zim from Starship Troopers. I gave the remix a marching beat because Sergeant Zim is a drill instructor. The voice samples are from the movie, I'm assuming that won't be a problem, as I only used a few clips. The drums are a mix of RMX and soundfonts, I've tried to make it so it's not too repetative, but in a marching beat there isn't too much drum elaboration one can take. Further into the mix some marching sounds come in to accompany the drums. Instruments include Oboe, 80's Synth, BooBass, Mandolin, TS-404 and the dark strings to give it that foreboding sound. I hope you like it, ~TO
