  1. A fantastic Dark World ReMix. Great performance by Willrock as usual. I really liked that synth, and the production sounds amazing. Good work.
  2. Hehe, this brings back good memories of both the game and DJP's old track. Good ol' country boy track that just puts a smile on my face, especially the clapping parts. Damn, it's things like this that make me want to go yee-haw! Super fun, sounds great and is just a thrill to listen to. Awesome.
  3. Yeah, this is one of those jazz pieces with energy to them that, unless you are extremely tired, I can't imagine being able to chill out to or fall asleep to. But it does provide an interesting take on the Contra 3 music. Not exactly my cup of tea, but as for the arrangement and production of it all, I can at least enjoy it for what it is. Nice work.
  4. This ReMix is certainly aggressive as all hell and it just screams brutal things. The playing and the rage coming off of it was certainly one of the best parts of this song, and the Castle Damcyan part was the one I thought was pulled off the best. The transistions were pretty good, and the one little nitpick I the drums sounded off or something during the Fiends theme. Not sure if it was me, the headphones I'm using or the actual song, but that part didn't gel with me. Other than that, pretty good ReMix.
  5. It does sound like it would work for a small village during Christmas. It just has that happy joyful feeling that kinda makes you feel at home when you listen to it. Lots of grand instrumentation to give it that true orchestral appeal, like you be seeing it live. Very nice, VHD.
  6. Happy birthdays peoples!
  7. Please.....tell me more. On a more serious note, I love more Middle Eartern feeling of this ReMix rather than the endless droning that it usually conjures up. It's amazing how something so damn repetitive can be made into a long and elaborated ReMix like this. The ending is pretty abrupt, but honestly, that's about the only issue I have with this one. As I expected from Vurez, this is a terrific piece.
  8. This screams "Bollywood!" at the top of it's lungs. This is incredibly brilliant! I could just imagine this being used in a Bollywood film or something close to that. It's got action scene written all over it, especially from the intro and I just can't express how much this ReMix rocks. Love the use of the vocals as well. Recommended by far.
  9. Whoo, boy, is this funky! The groove mixed with piano was just what I needed to get into a dancing mood! See, this is why I have such faith in the OC ReMixers. Such little tunes being turned into full-scale songs of enjoyment for all. Jingle all the way, indeed.
  10. Chiptunes and Kirby are a happy little coupling that I love seeing used. And who better to use them both than Halc and Ben Briggs? Bubbly, chippy, and lively, there's nothing better suited for the pink fluff-ball. Great ReMix, guys.
  11. The intro was nice, kinda like riding off into the sunset in a sweet racer, but then it rips back open with heavy guitars and incredible drum playing. In a way, I can see a similarity between this and Level 99's Wild Arms ReMix, going from lighter to rocking it out all to hell. Good use of car SFX. I'm glad you didn't over use those. Cool ending as well.
  12. The effects were what really caught my interest in this song. It's odd, but not distracting from the more frantically smooth arrangement you've got going on here. Certainly one of my favorites of the album. I know it's "fear of haze", but the overall sound makes me think of an environment filled with a haze of fear. Not crazy about the ending, but all in all, it was an awesome ReMix.
  13. The vocals near the beginning reminded me of a movie, and it certainly has the build-up of one. Fantastic. Very adventurous as it picks up, and I love the dramatic elements of this ReMix. Sweet violin playing, that was cool. Seriously, words don't do this kind of epic piece justice. Simply incredible to listen to. Great work VHD!
  14. This is a pretty interesting ReMix. I really didn't know what to say about this one, but I do have to say that it has a feeling of ups and downs, like starting out on a dark day and seeing a small ray of light at different points. I guess "Morning Walk in the Burning City" is just one of those titles that describe the ReMix exceptionally well. Yep, the city is on fire, but at least you have a nice morning walk.
  15. I really like the way Zyko sings. You get more of a different kind of tone from him because it just sounds professionally unprofessional. Sounds weird, I know, I'm not a linguist, but it just seems like an everyday person (kinda like Link if he wasn't the hero of the whole thing), just singing on a boat through different weather and places. Lot of heart here. Good guitar playing and good progression as the song goes on.
  16. Yeah, I can't actually add anything more than this. I think a second verse is the only thing that was really missing. I wasn't fond of the guy's voice, but it wasn't overly grating, and not focusing on it and just going with the music made this catchy as hell and I really actually liked it. Weird, but cool at the same time. I am so going to say "I got a weapon weapon" from now on when I play the MM games with my friends. It's just too funny.
  17. Sounds like the perfect ReMix for a martial artist training feeling combined with FFV sources. Very Eastern feeling and I thought the song went through enough changes to keep the interest going. Really love that ending. So, not only am I impressed by this great ReMix, but hearing that DarkeSword knows Dragon Style Kung Fu is pretty cool, too. Great stuff, man.
  18. Hard, dark, evil, powerful, aggressive.....so many different ways to describe this ReMix of Exdeath. I'm open to lots of genres for ReMixes, but I really love it, especially for villain and battle themes, when the track goes all out in a fierce way, which Zircon pulls off here. Awesome DNB mix and another win for the bad guys.
  19. I can greatly appreciate the difference in styles between Sixto's and AeroZ's arrangements for this. Seems more like a low key and sneakier take on the source, and I really liked the how this ReMix progress from the intro on. EmptyClaw said it best, it's very playful and mysterious. Very nice.
  20. Sixto really does stand out to me as one of those ReMixers that are very consistant in how good their ReMixes are. The guitar playing was excellent, and both the arrangment and production are ace. Looking forward to hearing more from both Sixto and the rest of FFV.
  21. This one surprised me because it was one of those songs that really told the freakin' story and does it well. That's what was so interesting to me, because usually it's the music that I look to (or listen to, rather) first, then the lyrics. But with this one, it was the opposite. The lyrics painted the picture of the battle perfectly, and the music just sorta matched the tone. Brilliant. I really loved that about this ReMix. Kinda interesting that the lyrics kinda fell out of line as Quickman died. That was cleaver as hell. The Megas picks up a decisive musical win here and this is definitely going in my recommended list.
  22. Beautiful and smooth. This is the kind of ReMix I could really chill out to. Pot Hocket is one of those ReMixers that I've noticed can bring out some hard emotion with the way he arranges tunes. Amazing.
  23. Didn't really feel much of anything until the music really kicks in about 1:20. After that, it was like someone woke up and picked it up. Very jazzy and cool, but not exactly my kind of jazz. Still, aside from the slow start, I dug this ReMix a bit more than I thought I would. Not bad at all.
  24. Happy Birthday DJ Mokram!
  25. Amazing piano in this ReMix. Sounds absolutely gorgeous. That dark turn was pretty powerful, especially with the piano still going as this got a little rougher. Strings and piano make a pretty sweet combo here, and it really keeps the attention going, which is always nice. Overall, a very cool ReMix that I will greatly enjoy for a long time.
